I have been battling a rare health syndrome (parsonage Turner syndrome) that has taken everything I love from my life. I can’t write anymore so I had to leave college, I can’t do my passions of tennis or harp and this has been going on for nearly two years now. I have little use of my right arm and extensive nerve damage going from my neck down my arm. The pain is excruciating and I simply want relief and to get a good start to my life, as I am only 18. In 2021 I really want the pain to go away so I can start healing, and I pray that my doctors figure out how to achieve this. They say it may take five years to heal but I don’t want to be at a standstill for any longer, I hope 2021 is nicer to me! 🤍🤍

My goal for 2021 is to write my sixth book. I'm hoping to have it done by summer, which I'm going to have to hustle to do, because I'm a slooow writer. For motivation, I'm hoping to book an airbnb in the spring, and treat myself to a little writing retreat!

I Love your idea of reading a daily devotional, and not checking your phone first thing. I'm on my 3rd year doing this, and it has been a big boost in making my days flow better. I too have struggled with perfectionism. Trust in the Lord's timing, and I send prayers that this is the year you welcome that little babe :) LOVE YOU

I've read 50 books this year instead of 24 which was my actual goal and the most important tip is to replace your time on the phone/computer with a book whether you are waiting in line, being on a bus, or just before you go to bed. That increases the total reading time a lot! Readathons are super helpful too. I did the O.W.L.s magical readathon, the Adventures Through Wonderland readathon and Christmas at Hogwarts readathon and I just hope that Bookroast comes back with a magical readathon in the new year or I just do her old ones... And since you are also have a goal of digital detox. Cal Newport had an "Analog January Challenge" which I want to do next year again. It consists of five elements: read, move, connect, make and join. Here are more details: www.calnewport.com/blog/2019/12/31/__trashed/ - not sure if he does it for 2021 too.
My top 5 goals for 2021 are:
1. Get back into a workout routine
2. Practice self-compassion
3. Visit the Wizarding World in Florida for the first time
4. Invest more money
5. Reach 1000 subscribers on my UA-cam channel - but since I cannot really influence that: Upload 52 videos in 2021 ;)

I hope 2021 brings you all that you wish for and require. I recently finished The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and it is fantastic. It held the spot for my favourite book of 2020 and then I picked up A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles... just finished it and love it even more than Addie LaRue! Highly recommend.
