Using the Bare Essentials Bra Drafting Method for Custom Bra Making by Jennie of Annie and Myras

- The talented Jennie McKern from Annie and Myras (www.annieandmy...) has worked out how to customize a bra cup for custom bra making by interpreting the drafting method of Bare Essentials. She did some video clips and I compiled it into a video for my UA-cam channel.
I had the pleasure of working with Jennie last month on the release of her pattern the Grace Bra. We worked closely on the grade of her pattern and I even created my PolyPattern Bra Grading course (courses.porcel...) from her pattern. Be sure to check out her pattern (www.annieandmy...) and watch how she changes the pattern for a customer.

I haven't been able to find a comfortable bra since the 1970s. I'm a very new sewer. I'm still at the basic pillowcase sewing level. But eventually, I hope to fit and sew my own bras so that I can, at last, have comfortable bras.
I would start with simple lingerie items such as panties. They teach you how to use some of the materials. A bra is a complicated animal to sew. You can certainly practice to increase your skills, but I recommend buying a thrifted bra, taking the parts out that you can use and use scrap fabric for the first time you make one. Then it won't be an expensive learning experience.
@@Porcelynne , thank you!
