As you know I ran the old 27 and and 76mhz. I hated the long antennas. I had bought a expensive receiver trying to get a little extra distance. I don't remember which one. It was a JR receiver that went with my transmitter. It had a longer antenna then I was used too lol. It was in my buggy 10 minutes at the track when I flipped it at my track and ut got caught in the fence and ripped it out. Lol. GRRRR. So I put the original one back in lol.
