I could not stop watching! These movies are like a good book I can't put down. I want to watch and more. Beautifully done!!! Bravo! Captivating, intellectual, cultural, stunning. Thank you Patrick Voillot. I will buy many pieces from you and only you!
What a detailed information on cultured pearls! Admirable! Highly informative & a joy to watch. Unlike other videos on Tahitian pearls, you are so frustrated watching them talk & talk without detailing & showing on camera what they are talking about. Others should learn from this video about Tahitian pearls!
Living creatures being used as breeding machines trapped in tight steel wire forever. It's their only purpose in life, all for you. Why do we treat God's creatures like this? It's a horrible industry.
So nice to see how these beautiful items are made in nature. I have a pearl bracelet, black ones like these, and now I like them even more than before. Thank you for sharing this!
It is reassuring to see that those who farm, create and process the pearls also love them. Our jewelers only think of money. There is no inherent appeal for the gem itself.
I am stunned at how 1950s the narrative. It wasn't discovered until the 16th century? In the Oriente? Come now, surely someone involved with producing this has some kind of modern education. Tahiti was settled by ocean going pacific peoples around the time of the late roman empire. Europeans were very late to the table.
@tanyajuli, you are absolutely right! Tahiti was discovered by the brilliant Polynesian navigators ca. 2000 years ago! However, the narrator doesn't say that Tahiti is in the Orient. The Orient is mentioned when the human fascination by pearls is discussed.
I really love pearls to not knowing that they comes in so many different colours I use to thing accept of white other all are fake but thank you very much for this knowledge I fall in love with this black pearls really wanna do the farming of pearls

Wonderful 🤗 Arent there any large baroque pearls to find. A default from a natural inclusion, Light colour large drop or large oval with a little caracter, i want one. 🤗
Truly, the most stunning and classic of all for the mineral deposits found thus far on earth. Positively proven aphrodisiacs for women and the surest sign of taste and a discerning eye among men. Perfection incarnate to the most powerful gem brokers in the business. Keep your emeralds and sapphires the only mineral in the same class may possibly be white jade. Diamonds cannot even compare to the unquestioned majesty of a set of 10mm tricolor opposing shade pearl's suspended four inches above ANY woman's breast cleavage.
Why did the narrator include the false grain of sand makes pearls theory? Jeremy Shepard has repeatedly said that sand in not how pearls are made. He even says it in his CPAA class Pearls As One.
Beautiful documentary however the narrator need so learn how to pronounce the capital of Tahiti, if you re going to do a video , at least pronounce things correctly.
Why play Hawaiian steel guitars/music ? This isn’t Hawaii-5-O. Where’s the pulsating Tahitian drums & uku??? What insulting ignorance . Pathetic butchering of island names too😱😱😱😱

It's really weird seeing these beautiful gems poured out of bags and trays like glass marbles.
Reminds me of John Steinbeck's "The Pearl".
"Paris in 1925 was a continual party", not just victory in WW1 but also unrestricted cocaine had a lot to do with it

Its not thaiti.its Tahiti!!🌴🌊🌞
.if Haiti has pearl then why so poor.
I didn't know how cruel pearl production really is...
That is true. It made me sad how many lives of these oysters are sacrificed just to feed the greed of the jewelry industry.
@Jason Adams , that is already in the agenda.
if it hurt, why did it not scream ?
@@ztuzar163 They don't have vocal chords...
@Jason Adams Did the magic man in the sky tell you that himself?
Why play Hawaiian steel guitars/music ? This isn’t Hawaii-5-O. Where’s the pulsating Tahitian drums & uku???
