Nothing is more eighties than a guy standing on a rock, with a guitar plugged into nothing, playing it like anyone can hear him. Hip thrusts were just bonus.
You forgot because you're not confronted with it. Go outside anywhere and I guarantee you never saw people dying all over the place like you would have if it were actually a pandemic. Without people wearing masks to make it seem real and the government restricting basic rights, you never would have known anything was happening.
If 3 years is a long timespan to enjoy a song, you're trying to die on the wrong hill. If a song is good, it doesn't matter how old or new it is. You just don't care, because it's GOOD.
@@Orvieta three years ago i was in a different time frame. Had a lot of bad things going on in my life. Right now the tables have turned. So yes for me 3 years is a long time
For the longest time as an 80's kid I never thought they would develop the technology to fully take advantage of the 80's sound. What is it about mixing digital and analog instruments in a song so powerful?
In comparison to the Weekend and Daft Punk I feel it Coming, the visual direction for Dream Fiend and Bad Dream Baby are equally matched. They did a great job.
I will not rest until RobotFace and Jacketflaps McGee perform a live fundraiser to save our community center. If it takes a Pandemic to produce such a masterpiece, then sirs it was worth it.
Just got a visit from the police... Apparently there is a law against abusing the Replay button... The bass line, solos, the video. In a whole league of it's own!!! RESPECT! YOUR MOVE MAINSTREAM!!! On the other hand... don't even try, waste of time :)
these guys sadly disappeared as fast as they arrived. Maybe they really were aliens, come to deliver our ear holes with some killer cosmic vibes and then left again! PLEASE RETURN TO US!
Just like "Bad Dream Baby" the first time I watched it, after the first time listening/watching this new track I've gone back and replayed it at least a dozen times this morning. Another hit from September 87!
You got no idea how much I love and appreciate you guys all of you this song means so much to me thank you do much you all need as much love back as you give! And I love you... my darlings! Side note nrw... I'm an 87 baby so I never got the real appreciation of it all but because of you...youve changed my life you've shaped it and I appreciate it thank you so much.
Guys, this is a true and unique masterpiece. Since I was born, I love listening to songs from the 1980’s. Of course, we cannot turn back time. But I’m so freaking thankful for every band that keeps these good old vibes alive through music like this.
Dispite me being born in 1996 due to my fathers likes i always listened to 80s music from my early years of childhood and since then I really like 80s music! Even when I started listening to synthwave I new I whould find some gems and this song is one of them. Amazing work September 87!
These guys might be my legit new favorite band. Bad Dream Baby was heavenly and kept me coming back to them for the last 3 years, and this delivers so hard.
This reminds me a lot of No Man's Sky, the colors of the sky, the starship, the alien birds, the cyborg guy that bears a strong resemblance to a Korvax, that holographic device, and in No Man's Sky you travels between planets, star systems, galaxies, across the universe, lightyears away...
Mind blowing, transcendent, perfection, none of these even come close to describing this masterpiece. This is it, the pinnacle of Synthwave ladies and gentlemen.
I’ve been listening to this a lot. I remember September 1987 very well. 13 years old. I left elementary school in a small logging town in the Rockies, and started at a huge high school in Vancouver. A popular show at the time called 21 Jump Street filmed at our school one weekend, and Johnny Depp used my locker in one of the scenes. So much was going on in my young life at the time, it was so heavy.
This song feels like it should be playing over a bonus ending credit sequence from an epic 80’s Space Action Comedy! You know, the main character and love interest floating and kissing and looking at the galaxy, funny clips form the movie, the comedic relief character trying to gte their attention, then making funny references, that kind of thing. Would be nostaligic magic.
i went to pick up some food today and the guy parked next to me was playing this song! I leaned out the window and asked him what it was cause who can resist a sax solo like that??? Anyways, so sweet of him for sharing the name with me, just found my new favorite track! thank you kind stranger ♥️

I destroyed replay button :D This song is masterpiece. Thanks for the song, i really needed it and keep it up guys :)
Get this up on spotify.....IMMMMEDIATLEY
This is from Dream Fiend's new album, and it should be credited appropriately, and titled "Dream Fiend & September 87" not the other way around
spotify when?
On spotify now 😁 thanks for bringing my attention to this track! It's one of my favourites right now!
Music like this, is what should be playing on our radios.
Since the weeknds new album has synthwave I guarantee you we will hear it in the radio
I connect my phone to my car with an FM transmitter... SO IT WILL BE!
Agreed.
Blinding lights too
@@ExodoPics After Hours is such a good album
am i the only one who keeps coming back to this masterpiece? goosebumps everytime
I think I've played it about seventy-five times over the last year lol.
Same here
I second that emotion.
It’s so brilliant
Yep
Nothing is more eighties than a guy standing on a rock, with a guitar plugged into nothing, playing it like anyone can hear him. Hip thrusts were just bonus.
Some good hip thrusting in their videos - in front of a setting sun, no less.
He was actually plugged into the rock.
He was plugged into the nostalgia....that's all that matters! :)
FM-84 and The Midnight make room! There is gonna be a third mega group in synthwave now!
I thought it was midnight at first.so similar.just as great 🤗
What about the strike
For four minutes I actually forgot I was living through a Pandemic. Thank you for this little piece of magic.
listening march 31 2020 lockdown!!! this keeps me going
Dennis Gruetter me too bro😭
Never has a comment resonated so much with me until now.
Wait till a real pandemic shows up before you stress.

Without people wearing masks to make it seem real and the government restricting basic rights, you never would have known anything was happening.
Synth Wave can save humanity.
I still can't believe this song was released three years ago. Damn. Still listening to it in 2024

The bass, the sax, the vocals, the video, the guitar solo. I love everything about this. One of the best new songs I've heard in a long while.
Rust 1984 totally agree.
Yup, that's the retro sounds I grew up on, funny it's making a comeback, BADASS 😎 nostalgic
I love your name :)
I like Rithme and tecnology of 80, delicious!!!
You forgot the best part: SYNTHESIZERS
The exact right amount of cheese. Aged to perfection.
absolutely
Like a perfect raw milk Camembert.
Haha. Like an Italian gouda
Haha! Aged roughly from 1987
There is no better cheese than 80s cheese!

Probably one of the best Audio-Visual pieces of all time...
Gold Star sustained irony! God tier retro nouveau 👊 ✌
In comparison to the Weekend and Daft Punk I feel it Coming, the visual direction for Dream Fiend and Bad Dream Baby are equally matched. They did a great job.
I completely agree -clean ocean air, pastel sunset and no COVID. This video makes me longing for the 80's.
epic song and video, invokes the nostalgia of the 80s integrated in this modern era of the 2020s
They heard our distress call and came back from the cosmos to rock our ears off!
That I can agree with 👍
Totally!
Best chorus vocal hook I've heard in a long time.
The saxophone is AWESOME!!!!
This song is absolutely everything what synthwave is to me. It's all in here, the vibes, the emotions, ne flow, the nostalgia. All.
💜
Absolutely!
I swear this could have been shown on MTV back in 87'
this would so much better than anything out there in 87
@@CharliesMaidenCovers Dude, we had Miami Vice, you clearly weren't there.

Just incredible

well, I think that's the idea.
is not a coincidence, watson.

Hairs standing up at those intro guitar licks and synth stabs
That leg kick at 0.42?.......u know something magical is bout 2 happen
That leg/foot move though. I watched it like ten times. 0:40
I can't handle how good this is. Y'all just entered the ranks of synth wave gods.
They’ve already been in that category since ‘Bad Dream Baby’ was released

Good stuff. Takes me back to a better time in the world.

Definitely fantastic 80’s vibes.
My favorite part has to be that jazzy pointing around 2:51. 80s AF. Love it.

Probably the first time someone achieved an official video with real 80s retro vibes.
their previous Bad dream song nailed it as well
