--- About this pattern ---
The basis of this shawl is made with single crochet stitches and is worked from side to side with increases/decreases on one side. It has a beautiful leaf border on the bottom inspired by Virginia’s love for nature.

I was born with a (benign) tumor in my face. For more than 22 years my doctors did not know what it was exactly. In 2017 I did a second opinion and got diagnosed with an ultra rare condition. I immediately started searching for other people with this condition.

It’s so hard to find decorative edging with crochet.
I’ve got 3 scarves in progress (2 of them the Jaycee butterfly) right now (I don’t need more WIP’s - works in progress), but I’m DEFINITELY going to have to start another one just to do the edging on this one. Lovely, lovely, lovely ❤️❤️❤️

Dear Wilma i need to ask you something. If i use thinner yarn and hook size 4.. in the middle of the scarf, where we do the pattern without increases or decreases, how many rows should we make ? In order to have the same size as yours ? How do we count the rows if we use thiner yarn ?
So when you say from 107 to 151 we make 45 rows of 1 single crochet ,how do we count it to make it bigger in a way that our border will fit correctly in the end ??
