The most insane combo uses bladegaurd inside a Impulsor. It's a very cheesy way to play but in high-stakes tournaments that's the name of the game. Basically with the assault vehicle rule you can move the impulsor, disembark and move the bladegaurd, but then you won't be able to charge since the Impulsor made a normal move. I take both, victrix has the bodyguard rules really strong with the heavy character ultra chapter and they are really tough while being good anti horde unit thanks to their many attacks D1. Bladeguards are more lethal with D2, a bit less tanky but still TOUGH and in units of 5 are more efficient with an apothecary and transhuman since the unit most of the time don't get killed in one turn. Question (sorry, kinda new to 40k)
If I'm in proximity to multiple units that provide buffs (for instance, a judiciar, a chaplain, and a bladeguard ancient), do I choose which buff, receive all of them, or is it situational whether I can receive multiple?
Many thanks. Love your channel.
You would receive all of them. Units that can benefit from multiple buffs can be very strong in 40k, but do be careful not to spend too much on buffing characters - you still need the right balance between actual threats and force multipliers.
huh, they've got 3 wounds?
Can you do a video on the Company Champion?
Those Blood Angels numbers don't make any sense in the 'Damage Output' section. They'd kill way more Heavy Intercessors than that.
Add like a million hammers and these guys are just Stormcast Eternals.
I have a unit of 5 and they alwayd just die. I can't seem to roll higher than 2 whenever rolling their saves.
How do you move them across the field? Like do you put them on point or do you try to "flank" with them and let something else take the damage.
Get some new dice brother
@@91rumpnisse I try to use them as a screen for other units like Erradicators, or characters like the judiciar.
Their storm shields SHOULD make them tanky and survivable, but my bladeguard hate me lmfao.
@@pinoarias8601 I think you´re pretty much inviting them to get focused by your opponent. They might have Storm Shields, but that doesn't make them invulnerable. I dont think the intention with Bladeguard is to "Tank" damage.
Put them in an impulser and move its 14 and then get them out to force ya enermy to react to them in your chosen ground so ther not fsceung all the guns but are threating enough to have deal with
Imagine yellow ones with fists and shields
Or black and white ones with a claw and a shield.
My favorite primaris model is the gladiator
Unsurprisingly, Imperial Fists offer little to nothing for Bladeguard. That chapter and the Crimson Fists need a significant overhaul.

how to use them in ultramarines army ?
5 bladeguards, 2 victrix, 1 apothecary and guilliman are a threat you can't ignore when it's supported by the ultra strong gunline.
Deathwing blade guard…. Enough said
I'm thinking of using 5 of these bad boys in my Deathwing detatchment. Wish I had more money lol
@@lemanruss7218 run a unit of five and another of four sometimes and sweet Jesus the ancient makes them an absolute blender
You mean the cheaper Custodes?
The Custodes are appropriately priced, 1+ save 3+ invul and T5 are worth the points you are paying for
@@atlas6538 Cant there never be a 1+ save since a 1 is always a fail?
@@Aa-tg3fr but it does ignore -1 ap since -1 ap is still a 2+
Is there any point in taking them with the Victrix Honor Guard? I'm a new player so sorry if the question is stupid
I play 5 bladeguard and a unit of victrix as a spearhead with guilliman while my ultramarines gunline support them and weaken the serious threats I face to charge and kill with less risks. You can even add a redemptor or 2 to have someting really threatening, with a whirlwind support for fight laston an ennemy unit !
@@Guem2856 Thank you for your reply
@@Guem2856 Sorry to have another question but is there any point in taking OUTRIDERS into the Ultramarines army ?
@@Huhuhuanaszazimazla ultramarines are good with units that want to continue shooting, I would switch out outriders for eradicators or hellblasters since they have the fall back and shoot chapter tactic as well as the super doctrine active when the tactical doctrine currently active. Ultramarines are more of a gunline chapter, they don't want to be tied down in combat except for their dedicated close combat and even then it might be better to use vanguard veterans. Using outriders you might outpace the rest of your army and since most of your units should be gunline they won't have much support.
@@Huhuhuanaszazimazla I play 3 outriders since they're good for theatening ennemies backline or meatshield tank/ blocking units. You don't want ennemies to reach your gunline, I like to put them on a side and use them to force the ennemy to fall back to defend an obj or use them as blockers. You also have as ultramarines a strat that makes you able to fall back, shoot and charge again which is good with outriders. They're not top tier, nor required but thay may be used well in some situation thanks to their mobility/toughness per point. Though, you might wanna have 150 points for something else.
These guys are pretty bananas 😂
The pretty bananas are Custodes tho
My neovolkite always does work.
Judiciar fight last ist not an aura...
Stormcast Eternals in your 40K.
the marine unit making me feel bad for my 1d3 damage custodes....
I wonder how easily they'd convert into Cabal from Destiny...
almost useless? Haven't found any rule specifying wolf guard except the packleader in Blood Claws...
"You can't be wounded on anything more than a 4+" is the opposite of transhuman physiology, right?
Somebody remind me why I play Imperial Fists..?
Because you're a masochist who loves painting everythign yellow? ;-)

yes
there's really no reason these should have 3 wounds except for "it's new and primaris, now gimme yer money ya git"
It's cause Indomitus was trying to give marines better melee options granted the vanvets are still good at 2w but the jumppacks help a lot making up for that
@@FiveStringC fair enough, but Indomitus or not - they need to be downgraded to 2 wounds for the entire marine line to make more sense. It's also possible that I'm partial to VanVets because Blood Angels.
With Kor'sarro backing them up in the assault doctrine they are just blenders
If blenders were also bulletproof
And ran like Usain Bolt on 9 lines of coke
Aggressors work so much better than these
yo dude - im really livid about maloghurst being out of stock the day the preorder came out. My reaction is - wtf how hard is it in 2021 to use printers to produce quantities on demand? But if GW wants to keep trolling customers like this I am more and more inclined to go for the cheaper 3p (3dprinted) remolds of forgeworld stuff. I dont game just paint, and i wont pay ebayers more than the 33quid it was sold for (by princible - since i couldnt go see foo fighters due to ticket resale.. so im happy to crusade against these people) . talk about gaining customer fidelity.... Would u mind representing my pov or atleast looking into maloghurst preorder debacle? whats the excuse for clickbait profits this time?
I was so annoyed after like an hour being sold out
Too slow for BA.
