    My mother in law said something to me once that has stuck with me. We were talking about worrying and she said that worrying about something was an insult to God because it was like you were saying that you didn't trust or didn't feel that He was capable of handling it. I hadn't ever looked at it that way before and found it very profound and helpful.

      A lady said to me once. 'You worry too much. If you worry about the past you worry about things that you can't change. If you worry about the future you worry about things that haven't even happened yet. Never forgotten it either ❤

    Recently just discovered this channel and God is so good. I grew up in a christian household so I always knew God. However I had so much questions and I knew there was so much more and there is. I’m 18 and in college currently and I just ask for prayer as I hope God can begin to use me to help show the word to my generation.

      Sending prayers, Deshawn! We can share the ways that God has worked in our lives, and trust that God is leading them all very carefully on their own spiritual journeys. Blessings to you!

      Yes I hear you about wishing you might have found it sooner Anna. Perhaps the things you were learning in the meantime will serve you well on your journey. God does seem pretty spot on when it comes to timing, at least when I look back.

    This is going to be one of my favorite episodes of yours ... ever! All of this hits home.
    I struggled with near constant anxiety for much of my life. Finally, in a moment of complete despair, God led me to notice how a Catholic friend calmed himself by saying rosaries. I decided to come up with my own prayer list, which included what I had available in my memory at the time (Lord's Prayer, Serenity Prayer, 23rd Psalm, and "I trust you Jesus." from the Jesus Calling devotional book.)
    Long story made short, as I started to repeat these lines anytime I noticed the problematic thoughts, the demons backed off!! I now sleep through each night, and awaken in peace. Anytime I sense the darker entities wanting to "feed," I start saying the prayers again. I really think this is why it's so important to "pray without ceasing." It allows God's spiritual immune system to do its work.
    p.s. All that led me to find Jerry Marzinski's work, and he led me to this Channel. Talk about Divine Providence!!
    p.s.s. I love the casual setting for this video (sofa/chair.). 🙂

      Divine Providence strikes again, Kelli! That's lovely to hear.
      I, too, (Chara here) have come up with a list of ideas/prayers to run through when I hit the wall of fear or paralysis or anxiety. I love how you put it -- it allows God's spiritual immune system to do its work.
      Thanks for adding to the conversation here -- and glad you like that cheerful furniture!

    I watched this live last night and was captivated. I felt like I was meant to hear it. I was thinking about how my father had been ruminating lately in a spiral of negativity and regret. Someone from his nursing home called me yesterday to say he was adjusting well and was very happy. It seemed like such a contrast to his mood a few days ago. Then early this morning the nursing home called to say he died in his sleep. It is sad of course but I am moved that he had a break from his mental burdens yesterday and felt some joy.

    • @offTheLeftEye

      Oh goodness, Jennifer. What a story. Our hearts go out to you as your father transitions from earth to heaven. So touching that his last day or so was free of the old regrets. The stories of angels being near at the end of earthly life are incredibly powerful! Blessings to you at this tender time.

      My mother lived with anxiety and a negative outlook most of her life. It was hard to be around her for any length of time. One day her nursing home called me to say she kept insisting to see me so when i got home from work I went over there.
      She had this idea that "something happened "but couldn't explain anything more. I put it down to her dementia and said I would stay with her until she calmed down, which she did. The out of the blue, she said she wanted to die. I asked her why and she said " because I know it will be peaceful ". This was weird because I knew she had zero belief in God and thought anyone who did was an idiot.
      Then she went into some half sleep state, but at one point got agitated and said that there were bad people in the room. I couldn't see anything but made a show of chasing them out, which satisfied her. The room got very peaceful then and I totally tuned into that. I DO believe in God and I know the peace that can come . And then she died. I was left with that peace. It was so deep I just sat there for 2 hours before I told the staff she had passed.

      @offTheLeftEye  11 днів тому +1

      @ Wow that is a powerful story! Truly precious that you could witness that shift and even help her by chasing away the demons. Bless you for being patient with her gradual acceptance of the afterlife. Thank you.

    Hey guys. Love you guys. I have been having lots of dreams lately with a conundrum of evil characters, they express anger, they express hate, they express coercive control... and yet there is a solution to why there is a problem to their foray... can't help but thinking of Swedenborg and his suggestion of angelic guidance for all. The evil offers a dilemma and the angels offer a solution. I like to think that this is true. Thankyou for giving Christianity a sanity.

    Curtis and Dr Rose have done it again. The timing of this ‘lesson’ airing is epic. Evil Spirits exist as Devine Spirits exist within all of us. It’s up to us to recognize, accept then replace evil (thoughts, bad intent) with angelic spirits. That’s not easy every day. That’s not easy weekly! Your laughter, wisdom and direction are so powerful. Thank you. Thank you.

    This was excellent. The fact that Satan knows when we are worried and then the worry develops into anxiety, and anxiety develops into health and mental issues is actually easy to spot once you know what to look for. This is why God tells us to rejoice and to show gratitude towards Him. Worry is UNBELIEF--plain and simple! It's also self-centeredness, because our mind is continually on self...and not on how God is going to see you through. You are telling God that you don't believe He can handle your situations. So many Christian easily confess that they are worried and anxious. This says so much about the person. When they say that, I know they have grown little in their spiritual development. Yet they tell everyone and speak just like unbelievers. All this does is bring more of it into your life. I am not like-minded with these individuals. If you are going to grow, you must be self-taught because the church did not make it their mission to teach the flock.

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  19 днів тому +2

      Yes, l.g. -- Believing and trusting in God is the ultimate antidote to worry and anxiety. I think it's part of the human condition to struggle with this, but we can ask God to help our unbelief.

    When I've had a troublesome situation, and I start to go over and over it, repetitively, I write it all down. That way I can let go of it, knowing that I can come back to it if I need to, but it allows me to let go of it for a time. It gives me the time to detach and then when I go back to read it, om not attached to it anymore.

    I feel like you were somehow listening in on a conversation I had yesterday and have made this video especially for me 😂 I have been tormented by this for years and years. I can’t see a way out as it has such a firm grasp on me. It has worsened with time and I barely sleep now. I lost confidence in God recently - I have had decades and decades of bad luck and can’t, at this stage, work out what ‘good’ is hidden in His relentless challenges. You’d think eventually he would roll me a couple of sixes. I think this lack of confidence has allowed the demons to thrive even more than they used to.

    During the "pandemic," my son fell victim to deep spiritual worrying and paranoid thinking.
    I refuse to follow this path, I don't worry about what I can't change.

      @ An increase in the number of people dying year on year. WW1 was pretty bad, I know from backpacking people still visit the cemeteries in France.
      An exert from "The Hill":
      >>>‘Huge, huge numbers:’ insurance group sees death rates up 40 percent over pre-pandemic levels
      “Death rates are up 40 percent over what they were pre-pandemic,” said Davison of OneAmerica’s group life policy holders.
      To illustrate just how severe the current death rate is, Davison said a 1 in 200-year catastrophe would likely only cause a 10 percent increase over pre-pandemic deaths.
      Even more alarming is where those death rates are hitting, with Davison saying it’s primarily among working aged people between the ages of 18 and 64 who are covered by OneAmerica’s group life policies. The insurance company says that’s similar to what the rest of the group life industry is seeing and is consistent with CDC data.

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  20 днів тому

      That is perhaps the hardest scenario to deal with, Blackdragon. God is not the one who hurts children. He allows human freedom, and people sometimes choose terrible things. God is working at all times to protect the spirit/soul of the child and of all of us. Perhaps you can come up with some action to take to address the issue, without letting the feeling of revenge just eat you alive. Asking God to help you deal with these feelings, to take them away and help you move forward in a productive way, is a practice that some people find helpful. Blessings to you and your children.

    People make mountains out of molehills. Then they cause actual trouble. So what do you think is a healthy level of concern? And are things like "Trust in the Lord with all your heart" or "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself" really meant to make you not live in reality? "Don't worry, nothing bad will ever happen." I thought that the point of it was kinda the opposite, so that you don't believe in false convictions and self-fulfilling prophecies, therefore preventing you from becoming self-righteous because of those things. You know, because self-righteous people don't live in reality. That's why they make mountains out of molehills, and cause actual trouble.

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  19 днів тому +1

      Like so many issues of being human, Purnu, it's a complex question! Swedenborg (on whose writings this channel is based) emphasized that we need to take responsibility for our lives, and not just stand there with our hands hanging down, but in the long run, we can't control everything. So believing that some kind of Benevolent Force is working toward our highest good -- no matter what the current situation looks like -- can be a comfort.

    A good example of the 3rd trap SE3626. It is like Jesus vs the Pharisees. A Pharisee might think: "What? how can all I've been studying and believing be wrong? My lifetime of works and devotions are wrong?" Yet there was one, Nicodemus who saw and acknowledged Jesus. Anything in this world can be an 'End Trap'. Religious beliefs, spiritual knowledge, academics, careers, family and etc. A true man servant to God do not have his own mind or thought, or seperated from God's thought. He possess not his own self but the self of God. A true humble and submitted servant can be turned and manipulated as God wishes. But a self centered person cannot. He cannot unwind, unlearn, abandon his own ego and things he pride himself in and with.

    There are 3 distinct processes that go on in the brain (the home of thoughts). Thoughts are not created by the brain they are received in the brain that is then observed by? The answer to that will become apparent to everyone eventually. The pointing here is that the observers (you and I) are not the creator of thoughts, and likewise remembering is not something you do. You may believe you do, but there is no evidence known to you or anyone else how we do anything. We know that the brain is connected to the body and its actions, but there is no explanation of how you run the show, just an assumption. Effectively, we believe we are all doing something (in control) that no one knows how they do it. The illusion has been unravelled ❤️🙏Ramanamma Who? Author and 21st-century confirmist

    • @Who2youtoo
      @Who2youtoo 19 днів тому

      @offTheLeftEye I appreciate that I am privileged to have a map as it is of the mind/body machine. The brain receives quantum data, and this comprises imagination, creativity, and guesswork. The other process that appears to be going on is data, which runs the body and includes heart, breathing and aches and pains, etc. These are explained to us personally by God in the form of us or ourselves. The voice we use outwardly and inwardly is God's voice. It is you he is talking to, but you think it you talking to you. These 3 activities in the brain cover everything that we think of as human. It is difficult to understand, but humans are not even a sentient being. All humanity is a false identity. We are souls from heaven, not humans going to heaven because we've been good. Once you really know this, it is game over. But it is the end for everyone so at this time we are woken but don't leave. I cross my fingers every day and hope to die. It is the truest mantra a soul can have. Love and wisdom to you all and your families. Ramanamma Who?

    I’ve watched about 20 of these videos and I’ve been praying for discernment about it because there is so much focus, not on God, but the truths of swedenborg. I felt drawn to read “The Great Divorce” by CS Lewis. I got the end of the book where it’s talking about the importance of walking by faith and when he wakes up from this dream not touting it as absolute truth-that God is not pleased with Swedenborg. It immediately opened my eyes. You guys should be quoting the Bible. Not Swedenborg. Jesus is the way, the truth, the light, no one comes to the Father except through Him.

    • @offTheLeftEye
      @offTheLeftEye  21 день тому +3

      Hello, Liz! I'm so glad that you turn to God in your search for discernment and clarity. Actually, every video of ours is very focused on God, because that was Swedenborg's sole focus, but since the way we (and he) speaks are different than traditional Christianity, I can understand why it doesn't seem that way all the time. Just as people will cite Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, etc, but know that the focus is the Lord, we cite Swedenborg and yet consider the source and focus to be the Lord Jesus Christ. I don't know how far you got into this video, but the end result is all about following Jesus's instructions to not worry, and to instead put our trust in God in order to be protected from worry.
      I LOVE C.S. Lewis's books! Regarding "The Great Divorce", I (Karin) don't have a copy on hand, but from my memory of reading the book years ago I believe it is not God that isn't pleased with Swedenborg, but rather C.S. Lewis the author who seemed to be irritated with Swedenborgians that he knew. His story "The Great Divorce" is actually very, very aligned with what Swedenborg wrote about the choices we make about good and evil, and the results of those choices in the afterlife. And "The Screwtape Letters" are very aligned with what Swedenborg learned and witnessed about the tactics of evil spirits.
      Swedenborg knew from direct experience, and extensive Bible study, that Jesus is the one God of heaven and earth. In his writings he mostly calls Him "the Lord", so sometimes people think he doesn't talk about Jesus enough. Anyway, I just want to clarify where we're coming from, but I absolutely hope that you follow your heart and conscience in seeking God, and that you don't follow this channel unless it seems to you to be aligned with your heart's beliefs. God bless!
