It's also funny that Peter's eye color can't stay consist one minute there hazel, next their blue. Also the fact Pete isn't even bothered about it is just like he's aware of editorial at this point like he's saying; "what's gonna screw me over this time?"
I stopped reading Spider-Man after the Brand New Day crap, and it's damn near always made apparent that was the right call. I'm thankful to have grown up reading the better stuff in the 80's and 90's.
Brand New Day has a lot, I'll say it again: a LOT of solid stories. Some of the best modern Spider-Man are from there, and they're not even huge storylines, just some great two-issues adventures. People don't like it because of One More Day, and I get that, yet Brand New Day gave us some timeless Spider-Man content.
I'm thankful I grew up with Marvel's All Ages line Marvel adventures where they didn't need to add unnecessary drama into Peter's life. They actually let him be happy with his girlfriend Chat.
The comic has been tanking and Marvel knows it. I think they’ve asked Wells to speed up his run (similar to what happened to Spencer) because they’re gonna pull him off and hand the reigns over to someone else. The only question now is whether the editors will continue to enforce their own notions of how Spidey should be, or will the next writer get more free reign.
I actually really don't mind Peter just revealing his identity to Kamala. I really love the superhero duo of Spider-Man and ms. marvel. But about what peter said, no. That's just messed up.
Instead of giving MJ powers to tread more useless ground, they should instead just go all in on her and Peter’s relationship if they want something to do with her
Oh but you see, that would make sense and require writing the characters to actually be in character...We can't have that! How will Marvel create drama for the sake of drama, and keep Peter as a forever sad boy if they have to write the characters in a way that makes sense!?
@@kenkaneki3867 We understand that. The thing is, many people (myself included) just don't consider the post One More Day stuff to be canon. It's clear that Marvel is writing the characters out of character to serve their editorial mandates, so why hate the characters when Marvel is clearly the problem? As far as we're concerned, these recent issues are just a bad dream that Marvel refuses to let people wake up from. Post One More Day MJ isn't MJ. Post One More Day Peter Parker isn't Peter Parker.
So that awful out of character line is most likely intended to be an Easter egg to long time fans. It refers to a story from waaaay back in 1984's ASM 248, The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man in which Spider-Man visits a terminally ill child and reveals his identity to him.
What makes that line even more … weird, is the fact that the fan film Spider-Man: Lotus came out recently and that adapted some of that storyline. Talk about a major coincidence.
Marvel: Peter Parker most stay young! That's what the fans want! Zeb Wells: They also love poor writing! Marvel: THEY DO??? Zeb Wells: Yeah! Marvel: Do they also love break ups that come out of left field and make no sense? Zeb Wells: That's their favorite part!! Marvel: You've got the job! Spider-Man fans: FIRE ZEB WELLS!!!!!!! Oh, and for the love of God, just makes Peter grow up!!!!
The whole "I only do this for kids with incurable diseases" bit is absolutely awful and not something Peter would say at all. Like you said, I hope they go back to the status quo. But, I honestly think it could take a pretty long time, unfortunately. So, I'm not gonna keep my hopes up too high
They are starting the turn Peter Parker in the comics into his MCU counterpart. Despite the negative impact it had on his friends and family. That variant of Peter Parker literally had to erase his identity from his universe just to set things right.
If there's anything that I learned from Zeb Wells's run on Spider-Man, it's that Brand Synergy can be sometimes a blessing and a curse. However, seeing it here is a curse! I just hate how Wells is making Peter Parker like his MCU counterpart although that version has matured into the Spider-Man we all know and love! I swear to goodness if Marvel undoes the beautiful and sad ending to NWH, I will keep on ranting non stop!
Peter revealing his identity to Ms. Marvel has the same vibe as Peter revealing his identity during Civil War, and we all know how THAT went. Actually, now that I think about it, Spider-man’s identity hasn’t been played as a big deal for a while now. I kinda wish they would bring that premise back, it’s such a spider-man staple in the early comics.
They just casually off panel kill Madame Masque. Granted she was not the biggest character in the world, but she's been around for over 40 years and was an Avenger for crying out loud.
So basically Marvel said to Zeb Wells, write Spider-Man as out of character as possible and Zeb Wells decided to regress Peter back to his Ditko era attitude, a time when Peter was a complete selfish jerk, wow I called that commitment, Great job Zeb Wells
Your right about peter never saying that out loud... the incurable disease thing. I was like he did that in the 90s series though. I was just smh at the comic. Zeb wells has too GO! 😂
Out of the three things you said I agree 💯 percent! Please let us see more of Peter and Felicia on a date, a normal date without danger. Don’t give Mj powers or a costume! And how is ms marvel back, and why is Peter said that line to her? Great video keep it up 👍🏻.
Felicia’s character had grown so much since their previous serious relationship and in one fell swoop Zeb Wells negated all of that with zero character development and a breakup for the dumbest of reason. Terrible. There just aren’t any stakes and zero to care about in this series.
Spider-Man in the comics is starting to turn into the MCU. He can't keep his secret identity a secret to anyone. Norman Osborn knows who he is, Felicia Hardy knows who he is, Captain America knows who he is, The Avengers know who he is and now so does Kamala Khan. The only ones who don't seem to know Peter's identity are the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. Despite the fact that Peter is normally really close to both teams and has friends. They are the only ones who don't seem to know who Peter is.
I've got one good thing to say: I like Felicia's outfit in the main story, it's something I wish I could pull off. And of course, I still like the art throughout, though I feel like Romita Jr's career has been irrevocably tainted from this association.
What I didn’t like about the breakup was that Felicia said that because Peter didn’t tell her to not steal. My problem with this is that this used to be one of *the reasons* why their relationship never lasted. Peter would try to have changer her ways, but Felicia is a thief through and through. Essentially Peter tried to change her, and she didn’t like that. So now the one time he isn’t trying that, Felicia believes that their relationship is pointless and meaningless. Thanks Marvel. Also nice to see Marvel having Felicia take relationship advice from someone who’s wedding went to hell, and from the previews we’ve seen, who’s relationship is going down the drain.
Ironically Peter revealing his secret Identity is a retcon since thank to a body swap story back in the All-New All-Different era they knew each other Identity
I was more excited to see your review rather than reading the book, I enjoyed the actual wedding story but was so annoyed they broke up Peter and Felicia
Maybe Peter's reaction to his break up isn't so weird, after all. If I had gone through what he has when it comes to relationships, I would probably be desensitized to sadness too.
Wow the one INTERESTING thing about current spiderman and they took that away batman damn near married catwoman and hes FAR more strict than Peter Parker smh Miles is dating Starling the granddaughter of Vulture and they still make it work why tf are they so edgy with Peter amd Felicia???
I'm collecting these issues, but at the moment don't really have the time to read them, so I appreciate your summarizations and commentary. Sounds like right now is not exactly a great time to be reading ASM.
Well, I mean... Peter Parker did say "My therapist says beating up teenagers is good for my self-esteem." once before, so... I think the line about "kids with incurable diseases" isn't that far off. Another thing, it's honestly INCREDIBLY common in comics to just slap the logo down whenever a character is talking about a certain team or character. Like... That's a thing that's happened for decades. Now, of course, those two little bits there being said... Holy fucking frozen over hell do those two things not excuse the terrible writing. Zeb Wells has written some fucking amazing stuff before, like Carnage USA, Avenging Spider-Man, Dark Reign: Elektra, Nova, Venom: Dark Origin, Anti-Venom: New Ways To Live, and some other stuff that proves he's a very good writer and can write Spider-Man perfectly and understands the character, but this... Like, a lot of it is chalked up to Marvel editorial, but some... I just wonder if he's purposefully writing it terrible, or if he just ran out of ideas?
Wait...they BROKE UP Peter and Felicia!? I'm not really suprised persay but I thought it would've lasted a bit LONGER...jesus what was the PURPOSE!!!???😂🤦♂️
Same here. And ya know what fanfic writers like me do? We actually oh I dunno LET SPIDEY BE HAPPY FOR 5 MINUTES. Something Marvel editorial staff are too scared to do
I’m curious. Was the 9:25 joke(?) a reference to the Spider-Man 90’s show episode? Because that’s what came up in my mind when I saw that text (it probably isn’t).
I feel like they just gave mj powers so that she could be her own superhero, understand what it's like, and then come back with peter. The comic's clearly been trying to make paul and mj fall apart: not only where the readers not show anything about why they're in love despite multiple chances being given; the kids, at least i think, were only used as a way to separate them further, i dunno if it's just me, but when i think of the kids i just think of paul, not mj, it could be because they were introduced that same way; abruptly and with no notice, but i think it's rather the fact that they want the kids to have as little interaction shown with mj, lessening her connection with paul as we see it. Anyone remember mj giving the kids a hug? I don't, and as far as i remember, i can only recall paul doing it, or at least; the panels when paul did it were more memorable, not to mention that when the kids got thano's snapped; paul was whom hugged them. Also, doesn't it seem kinda weird that the kids CLEARLY were ment to be "biologically manufactured" (sex, it's sex, it's a stand in for sex) by paul and mj, yet they were said to "be adopted"? I think that Zeb wrote the kids, got a death threat from editorial once they realized, and changed it as casually as the lil girl's name. As far as we know, this is all editorial's or some villanous, mustache-bearing "🧐" higher up (while laughing and saying "you'll never stop me!", Ft.ridicously long top hat) Doing, because they know that if they pull this kinda bullshit, they will make fans miss the old stuff. Like, remember in the 60's when people saw a glimpse of a superhero that "tasted" like a golden age one? People missed captain america, and having this market be filled by a lack of him made them realize that, that's exactly what i think happened here, they know that changing and pulling this 90's-like bullshit will make people nostalgic for even the worst parts of Spencer's Spidy, but they forgot that they put an actual human being to write the comic, one that (sadly for marvel) requires payment, so they have to let him write his stuff (with the classical editorial bullshit™ of course) but they're clearly making him hurry, they're more than ready to kick Wells outta the door so they can have their next Spider-Man fanfic where (surprise!) The green goblin comes back. I know i might sound like im wearing a tin foil hat, but that's the only logical explanation i can think of.
Also Marvel: Let's make MJ a superhero and make Peter Parker out of character multiple times! Zeb Wells: I don't know if that's what the.... Marvel: You want the job or not? Zeb Wells: Uh, yes. I'll get right on that.
9:25 I…I honestly can’t believe bro actually said that…nah man 💀. This is why I say “screw the comics” and that Miles Morales and Peter B. Parker from Spider-verse are the canon versions of these characters. At this point I’d rather have Peter retire happily and have Miles take over or something if it meant we were gonna be avoiding all this garbage…and there will be more next year.
I just hope that by giving Mary Jane powers and turning her into a super hero, means her and Peter interact more and more and is the start of rebuilding their relationship, and "paul" turns into nothing but a background character and disappears forever. or is found to be the villian of Wells's last story, because I don't think we're done with the Rabin story. and my theory is "paul" added "something extra" when he gave Mary Jane the device, something similar to what Rabion used the 2 kids for. plus we still have the 3 skulls to deal with.
Considering Paul lied about everything he ever told Peter and MJ, was responsible for genocide (even if by inaction, and we only have his word for that - and again he’s a liar) and he’s still the only one who knows what the 3 skulls even do (and for some reason, has never told MJ, so that’s another lie by omission - meaning he is STILL lying to MJ despite her claiming he doesn’t), making him a twist villain would be so easy to do.
It is funny how every bad run (and that's all we have had going back to Slott) gives us at least one good thing. This horrific run gave us Peter and Felicia. Then, Wells took it away. But at least we have Rek Rap!
Spider-Mna is a supporting character in his own comic. "ASM" is a vehicle to launch more girl uber bosses/girl power characters who over the decades have failed multiple times. Will Ms. Marvel being part of the X-Men be successful? Probably not. Are X-Men fans excited about her character joining the team? I've followed Spider-Man for 56 years. I'm tired of seeing Peter Parker being a sad sack who's completely unsuccessful and a complete failure in his personal life. Zeb Wells has expanded this to where Spider-man has been humiliated and deconstructed as a character. It was always Spider-Man's successes that resulted in Peter Parker's failures. Isn't it time for a change? Giving MJ powers and making her character Jackpot is stupid. Her storyline won't last forever either. Remember because of MJ's time in the other dimension she's older than Peter. That might be retconned when the next writer comes along, whenever that is. Here are some ideas about what the next 25 issues bring if Zeb Wells is still around by that point. 1. Michelle the lawyer or Ms. Marvel becomes Peter's next love interest. 2. MJ and Felicia start dating. Or because MJ gets powers and she's disgruntled with Paul, she breaks up with Paul, and she and Peter get together as a power couple. Then some major event happens where she loses her powers probably because her comic isn't selling and is cancelled. Followed by her and Peter breaking up for the sixth time in their History. 3. The "Gang Wars" saga is a slow burn like everything else taking 25 issues to resolve itself. Peter saves Felicia because he realizes how much he misses her and he truly loves her, they get together and plan to get married. Then the next writer ends their relationship. The 1st part under Zeb Wells will never happen. The storyline I'd like to see is from one of the video games where Felicia had a son (a real son) and kept it a secret from Peter. The son is now 13 years old and develops his Spider powers and Peter trains him. That's the Spider-Boy plotline I'd like to see. That also would never happen. It's nauseating that after 61 years of this comic, Peter Parker can't be successful, or be happy in any way, shape, or form. He's still unmarried after 16 years of OMD and BND. He's always broke, can't afford his rent, has to live off his aunt or have friends provide him a place to live for free preferably, doesn't have a permanent real job, always has problems with his relationships, and per "ASM #31" hosts a bachelor party in AC drinking water the whole time. Peter is a big spender, LOL! As Spider-man fans aren't we sick of these same themes through 7 volumes of this comic? What woman would be with him, no matter if he's Spider-Man or not? Handsome or not? Let's be realistic, I'm a SpiderCat fan, but why would Felicia go straight when he's a constant failure in his life? Would Carlie Cooper, Mockingbird, Silver Sable, Michelle the Lawyer, Ms. Marvel, Silk, or even MJ be with him when he's in a constant sorry state? It's terrible writing on all these so-called Marvel writers. I'm not saying end his challenges in his personal life, but come on. Even Superman and Batman have sons now. Why not Spider-Man? Peter is supposed to be an intelligent and competent scientist. That's who he is, but we don't see that anymore in his comics consistently. Between Nick Spencer and Zeb Wells, this theme has been non-existent, and it's a tragedy. Give Felicia or MJ a reason to be with him. Let him become successful, not at Tony Stark level, but have him have a great job on what he loves to do. Felicia would come back in a heartbeat if she saw him being successful, living in a nice mansion or house, and seeing him with someone else like Silk. I don't want to see him in a relationship with Michelle the Lawyer or Ms. Marvel. MJ, Felicia, or even Silk would be my choice. Why Silk? Because she's bitten by the same Spider. Her character would have to be written differently. The "Gang Wars" saga might take the Spider=Man character in a completely different direction than I listed above and Michelle the Lawyer is probably going to be his new love interest, but as I always say, " Beware of Characters stating they're the boring friend." She'll either become a villain who's misunderstood in this comic or will be involved with Hammerhead or some other Spidey villain. ASM is a terrible comic and I don't understand how Spider-Man fans are buying this comic. I watch UA-cam Channels' reviews and read the synopsis of the issue on Wikipedia to keep up with the character, but "ASM # 31" is it for me. I don't care what they do with this character. I may return a few issues into the new writer's run or when there's another reboot and Vol. # 7 starts in 2025 or sooner. It's truly a shame how this comic has devolved to this point.
Just give Peter BDP and suicidal thoughts while both allies and enemies attempt to break him out of this destructive cycle to no avail. Finishing the arch with a civilian child with an open heart cheering up Peter on a personal level making him reflect upon his old innocent optimistic life. Which I'd have this kid as a little brother like character that's almost like each other's crutch over mj and cat.
Cause marvel writers are shit compared to dc in comics...Miles is dating Starling, the vultures granddaughter and they make the PERFECT duo why cant they just do the exact same with Cat and Peter??? It makes no sense its like they know what the fans want but call this "keeping it interesting"
Perfect I can't wait to see how a writer better than zeb wells (probably Frank Miller) will delete all this shit and make something better with the next run
Well this is supposed to set up the Gang War and have seen the Godfather trilogy because I guess this wedding and Tombstone being like Marlon Brando, you forgot to mention Madame Masque being killed the woman in the golden mask who is usually an Ironman villain and Hammerhead never got the spotlight, I hope that MJ doesn’t become the new Scarlet Witch in Dr Strange 2 where she is completely obsessed with those that never existed and why is she still with Paul because the kids were the reason why she left Peter. Spider-Man is bad at everyone which maybe his thing is obsolete
Me: *sees the current state of Amazing Spider-Man comics* well that sucks Also me: enjoys my own headcanons with other peoples, and sticks to things like shows, games, and movies instead What I'm trying to say is I know how much of a mess Spider-Man comics have been but I don't bother having a look at them since what's the point? In a nutshell Don't like it don't look at it
I wish the writers would get fired already and bring in a new one that knows what they're doing. Maybe write a story where Miguel O'Hara and Spider-Society go into the points in time to erase all the crap story arcs like "One More Day", Gray Goblin, Ben Reilly's death, Mary Jane's miscarriage from ever happening...
Saving his face for kids for incurable diseases isn't too horrible. Just because he knows they will soon die and take his secret with them doesn't make it an insult.
@kharijordan6426 Yes, that is completely tone deaf and it reduces the time Peter has actually done that as a cheap joke. He would simply never joke about children with terminal illnesses in general.
@@CyreseParrish Ok.......I see where your coming from..... maybe...and this is something I'm just guessing now.....he was just making a statement?. Looking at the sentence.... what is the punchline? It doesn't have one...or at least I don't see one. If someone finds it funny I think it would be funny in the sense that Peter always shows his face to people he trust and not only to sick kids. A "yeah right" moment. Tone death..... implies that because the kids are dieing he can't ever say he shows his face to them. Which....is not true. He is allowed to say that. It's not an insult....so why would it be insulting? It's not even a joke.
Fans when looking back at Dan Slott and Bendis: Perhaps I judged you too harshly 😢 Edit: Peter revealing hus identy to Kamala is kinda wholesome. The only ones I believe who should know Peters identity in the superhero community are the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. Spider-Man has never been particularly close with the Avengers and on more than one occasion The Avengers have ruined his life. Only have to read Spider-Man and Avengers team-ups from the 60s and 70s and how they mistreated him and didn't want him to join the Avengers. Things would improve in the 2000s with Spider-Man joining the New Avengers. Forming close friendships and relationships with the group that eventually led to Peter into revealing his identity to them. The Good - Luke, Jessica, Matt, Logan, Danny, Echo, Clint, Jessica Drew, Steven Strange and Jessica Drew. The Bad - Tony Stark Peter's identity reveal towards the Avengers would be a double-edged sword and backfire come the Civil War storyline. In which Tony Stark managed to convince Peter to reveal his identity to the entire world... Which would turn out to be a publicity stunt for the pro registration and negatively backfire on Peter's life. Which would lead to One More Day.
I don’t hate MJ having powers, I hate just giving them to her. If you make a change like that, do something. In every official Marvel property where MJ gets them it maybe effects her life for like a few minutes, then she’s just herself but with powers. If you want to give her powers, give her the full likely shitty experience.
Readers: As much as we want Peter and MJ to get together. Felicia and Peter work really well together it’s a nice breath of fresh air in this sewage waste of a comic. Zeb Wells: People enjoying bits of a Spider-Man comic. Oh hell no we can’t have that break them immediately. @@shawnperry1583 either way it’s a garbage read. I would say that Atom Eve is a rip off of MJ with her red hair and her being popular. Paul should always be shoved to the side. Preferably off a bridge. Not by the Goblin though. He's not that important. Stilt man. Stilt man can kill him. Preferably after revealing him to be a defective Peter clone.
It says a lot about Spider-Man when his movies and games are doing better than his freaking comics HIS COMICS! His freaking place of origin is doing terribly
Felicia didn't steal anything while she was with Peter except that sword from Limbo what writers was thinking that doesn't make sense how they can ask what doesn't even happen!?
Need them to reveal that the Peter we've been seeing in this run is actually just a really successful clone that replaced Peter, and Peter was just chilling somewhere. Or burn Marvel to the ground idk
@@LewisFilmsProductionsI'm seriously just waiting for the reveal that Paul is actually Mephisto, using some power to keep MJ fixated on him, and took on this false identity to try and keep Peter and MJ apart because he saw that they got WAY too close to tying the knot again in the previous run...I mean, it'd still be a really weird plot twist to learn that the Devil is sleeping with MJ to keep her from having a Spider-Baby, but I honestly would not put it past Marvel at this point.
It seems all very incoherent to me. I just don't know where it wants to got, what it wants to accomplish, it feels like they're just throwing random shit on the wall
I've heard things about Spider-man comics in recent years and they were not good. Personally, I am not reading comics, but I am curious about how they work if someone is kind enough to explain me. So, this is, apparently, the disaster of the run, right? Q1: Why despite so many people being upset with it the writer still was not replaced on the project? Q2: What happens once the writer is replaced? Is the story reboot or does the new writer has to work with the story that was left to him by the previous person? Even if that is a mess? Q3: Was this particular series rebooted or is this the original series that started a few decades ago and lived through multiple writers?
Literally HOW?! HOW DO YOU GET ANY WORSE FROM SPIDERMAN GETTING COCK BLOCKED AGAIN AND CALLING HIS (was Peter and MJ married before this?)... AND CALLING MJ "LIKE A SISTER" LITERALLY HOW?! i havent watched the video yet Edit: oh thats how, this man just cant get a break, poor guy would probably have it rough in heaven
Honestly marvel should just move on from Peter Parker for a while and just develop Miles Morales though the comics and fixing his character in the comics instead
I hate how they flex the fact that Kamala Khan is now part of the X-Men. Not in my headcannon. And Peter/Spidery would never say anything about revealing his identity to incurable diseases. That is something he would at the kindness of his heart. God, these writers.
7:43 I don't know why people still care about deaths in comic books. They stopped mattering since _Death (and Return) of Superman_ in 1992. You know characters will come back, one way or another. The only deaths we know are permanent are Uncle Ben and the Waynes, and even so they're subject to change depending on multiverse shenanigans.
At this point Marvel just need to do their own "DC Crisis" and reset 616. They need to stop with these pointless "shake-ups" like Ben being a villain AGAIN, Ms Marvel getting hit by MCU synergy / Inhumanphobia, and...uh Paul.... Better yet, Marvel should actually let people who understand the characters write them.
Maybe its time for us fans to be the writer and show how the "writers" how a proper story is done right Tbh i was never a fan of ms marvel so her being dead i wouldnt mind

They are gearing up to replace both with miles mark my words
Yeah she is pretty underrated villain
Wait… W H A T ?

"I usually save this for kids with incurable diseases..."
....WHAT THE FUCK PETER?
So basically Marvel said to Zeb Wells, write Spider-Man as out of character as possible and Zeb Wells decided to regress Peter back to his Ditko era attitude, a time when Peter was a complete selfish jerk, wow I called that commitment, Great job Zeb Wells
Even then, Peter had qualities that he still has today. Those qualities have all but been removed
Yeah this is a big mistake because it staring to appear that Peter Parker has Peter Pan syndrome
I am pretty sure that the fantastic 4 knows who he is. Wolverine also knows who he is.
Whose wedding went to hell?
Ironically Peter revealing his secret Identity is a retcon since thank to a body swap story back in the All-New All-Different era they knew each other Identity
I think that some crap happened that made her forget.
Yeah especially the whole Across the spider Verse thing
Damn one nice thing about this they destroyed. No even SpiderCat is ruined. #completedestruction
I'm collecting these issues, but at the moment don't really have the time to read them, so I appreciate your summarizations and commentary. Sounds like right now is not exactly a great time to be reading ASM.
No it’s not great, I’ll make sure to let you know when they’re worth the read 😂😂
9:25. The darkest, uncaring, and totally hilarious joke ever
Well I wouldn’t say hilarious but yeah dark indeed.
I think it mainly editorial because the regular Spiderman stuff is fine outside of MJ stuff
Wait...they BROKE UP Peter and Felicia!? I'm not really suprised persay but I thought it would've lasted a bit LONGER...jesus what was the PURPOSE!!!???😂🤦♂️
Just make spider-man a skrull since most of what he says is so out of character, it would make sense that it’s not Peter
Brand synergy with the MCU. They introduced a new character in this issue by the name of Michelle, not to be confused with the MCU.
This is like saying to people to put out the fire. Pours gasoline instead. XD
Spider-Man comics are so bad I stop reading them, and this is why I read spider-man fanfiction 😑
Same here. And ya know what fanfic writers like me do? We actually oh I dunno LET SPIDEY BE HAPPY FOR 5 MINUTES. Something Marvel editorial staff are too scared to do
Fanfic spiderman is honestly a better read then the current spiderman comics.

I’m curious. Was the 9:25 joke(?) a reference to the Spider-Man 90’s show episode? Because that’s what came up in my mind when I saw that text (it probably isn’t).
What were the writers thinking? What disease does Kamala have?
Lol I remember your response after I sent you that panel that pretty much just destroys the kid who collects Spider-Man
Also Marvel: Let's make MJ a superhero and make Peter Parker out of character multiple times!
Zeb Wells: I don't know if that's what the....
Marvel: You want the job or not?
Zeb Wells: Uh, yes. I'll get right on that.

Bro I knew Peter FUMBLED with black cat, especially after seeing her give mj a super suit
Milee most current run isn't half bad and at the rate we're heading with Peter as spider-man, miles can takeover 🤷♂️
Can’t wait for JJJ Betty Robbie and Aunt May to get powers
Lmao yeah
MJ's relationship with Paul only shows that women actually love evil men and not the good ones.
@@SuperBatman1939Paul and Mephisto are in bed together, if not the same person. Watch.
Kamala doesn't wanna hang with Miles anymore I guess lmao
Incredible and amazing how they fucked it up again and again
You know at this point I think I just gone fully numb when they’re beating a dead horse using a sledgehammer
Yeah
Just give Peter BDP and suicidal thoughts while both allies and enemies attempt to break him out of this destructive cycle to no avail. Finishing the arch with a civilian child with an open heart cheering up Peter on a personal level making him reflect upon his old innocent optimistic life. Which I'd have this kid as a little brother like character that's almost like each other's crutch over mj and cat.
Just read the Miles book. I hear that one is great.
Only in comparison. Its mostly just a bunch of rehashes
I mean if Batman & Catwoman can work , why not spider & black cat
Cause marvel writers are shit compared to dc in comics...Miles is dating Starling, the vultures granddaughter and they make the PERFECT duo why cant they just do the exact same with Cat and Peter??? It makes no sense its like they know what the fans want but call this "keeping it interesting"
That's one of the most insensitive things I've ever heard, holy shit....
The only way to save Spider-man now would be to reveal that Paul is actually Rek Rap and have the book become The Amazing Rek Rap and Spiderboy.
A fight between a modern day Spider-Man writer vs Reverse Flash would be an epic battle
Peter just can't get a break
I know right…
Perfect I can't wait to see how a writer better than zeb wells (probably Frank Miller) will delete all this shit and make something better with the next run
9:25 has the same feeling as shadow saying "disgusting black creatures get out of my sight"
At this point this dialogue sound more like a parady of itself

In a nutshell Don't like it don't look at it
I wish the writers would get fired already and bring in a new one that knows what they're doing.
The Bad - Tony Stark
Peter's identity reveal towards the Avengers would be a double-edged sword and backfire come the Civil War storyline. In which Tony Stark managed to convince Peter to reveal his identity to the entire world... Which would turn out to be a publicity stunt for the pro registration and negatively backfire on Peter's life.
Which would lead to One More Day.
And everyone in the avengers forget his identity?
