The Brady Bunch house should now be put on the National Registery of Historic Homes, and be preserved for all time.
@bubhub64~That's probably in the works... The house was built in 1960, and "The Los Angeles Conservancy" is an organization in L.A., that champions the moving forward, for houses and buildings, to become placed on the list, of the National Registry of Historical Landmarks...Even without the "Brady Bunch" tie- in, it's the best thing that ever happened to this house, renovating it to what it should have been in the first place... A perfect example of "Mid-Century Modern" architecture... Restoration of "Googie" and "Mid- Cent-Mod" (1933-1965) building and houses, or some experts say specifically the years between (1947-1957) has only been a thing/interest /trend since the early to Mid 1980's....⚛
Or crash a plane into it, like at the Pentagon.
I agree with you, I am 63 years old and The Brady Bunch was one of my favorite shows, that house should be preserved and also the house where the Exorcist was filmed in Georgetown, in DC where I live
I think they did it.
Absolutely! ❤
I love how they light up and open up when they start talking about Robert and Florence.
=)
L K IKR I loved that
👍
They haven’t even mentioned Ann B. Davis as a remembrance of her on this show!
Me too.
Robert Reed. #1 Dad. Forever in our hearts. ❤️
He really was the ideal Dad.
Jesus, Maureen looks fantastic for 63
In full makeup like she's wearing here, and good lighting, she could pass for late 40s.
Still crushing after all these years
Maureen McCormick ☀️💖
This is actually a really lovely idea. I hope they make the house into a little museum - so many people, not just in America, grew up on this show.
I love that idea!
& it could have a gift shop, that sells replica props. Like a horse statue, at the bottom of the stairs
@@JPMJPM Someone did it with the "A Christmas Story" house in Cleveland that was used for the exteriors, since it had so much "looker traffic". The same had been true of the "Brady Bunch" house (LOTS of "lookers"), so, now that the interior has been redone to fit the show (which was A LOT of work, watch the HGTV show/after-shows), it makes sense to do the same.
The neighbours would never go for it
So nice to see these actors together again. The BB was such an iconic show and part of my childhood. I loved Stephen’s reaction in the beginning.
Well if netflix can revive full house for a few seasons why not revive brady bunch for a season or two
It won’t happen. First, it had ALREADY BEEN done..with the Brady Brides..also, don’t forget the Brady Variety show... the Brady Bunch has been milked SO MANY TIMES..that cow 🐄 has to be put out to pasture.
@@rvpstudioscanada3991 waaaaaay overdue to put that show out to pasture.
“I don’t know what to do with these feelings.” Me neither, Stephen.
I'm Australian and they were a huge part of our childhood. Ahh the 70s where for art thou ? 😭
I think that anyone in their 50's..and 60's..the Brady bunch has a special place in their hearts...a place in their childhoods that was pure n innocent..
...Thanks B B..I'm 57.
Yes and thanks to international syndication people in their 30's and 40's grew up with them all over again. They exist in a feel good bubble that just can't be popped 😊
I'm 55
Myeyes..great age.huh
Jerzygirl..that one when the frogs jump into the pizza and on the girl's head on Greg's hot date...always makes me laugh...
Jerzygirl...you know greg... marsha..peter..jan..bobby..cindy... .honesty is always the best policy...at the end of every episode...😄
OMG I LOVE THE BRADY BUNCH, I GREW UP WATCHING THEM, IM 58 now great memories, love them all, thank you Colbert for having them in your show. blessings.
All of us who grew up with the Brady's were so lucky. Childhood was idyllic years ago. Wonderful to see them all together, and Marcia is still as beautiful, inside and out, as ever
=)
Only the childhood on those types of shows. My reality from the 70's was in the housing projects with a step-father (former marine corps) who beat up my mother, beat my brothers and I regularly, and was having sex with my sister beginning at age 13. Let's not forget the racial tensions leading to a race riot on the Junior High school bus, and the drug abuse, alcohol abuse, groups of bullies (now known as gangs), poverty, and the crappy school system. Now there's REALITY!!!!!
@@gregGould
Many different realities. I'm Black and loved the Brady Bunch. I grew up in a Black middle class community in a family with a hard-working father and a stay-at-home mom. Such was the case for most of the kids in our area. A lot of people would think a community like ours never existed but it did. Loved coming home on Fridays and watching the Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family.
Christopher Knight is 61 but looks about 20 years younger.
He does!
nongthip So does Marcia
@@em.415 Why is it always about Marcia?
Marcia Marcia Marcia!!!
He definitely does not age
Right??!! So hot!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
A lovely group of people. They still look wholesome and loving as they did on the show. It’s sad that the rest of the cast has passed. God bless these kids. 😘
It will be sad when the Brady kids start passing away. But we all age!
Mike Lookinland still reminds me of that lil hyper, rambunctious BOBBY BRADY!
Nice to see them all together again!
I was looking for this comment! Yes! He's still enthusiastic, bright-eyed little Bobby!
Apparently he and Susan were best friends during the 6 seasons and have stayed close.
Greg touching Marsha’s back to reel her in.. she was about to become an emotional wreck!
They look well although Cindy looks a little tired and maybe been through a lot but I always liked Cindy. She was such a cutie ...
Wish them all well. Rare for a near whole cast to reunite.
I’d love to see them all as guest stars in an episode of a TV show (Law & Order?) playing themselves.
Not reel her in--- give her support. It was a rough moment for her.
In this case.. She needed to be "reeled" in!
Greg did that so we would see it and think he's a caring guy. In reality he has talked so much smack about his T.V. siblings, I'm surprised he was invited! He's an egotistical turd. Thinks only of himself.
Cindi DOES look tired. A new haircut might help. She been rockin those heavy bangs with feathered hair for a while. Similar to 1980s bon jovi hair band days
It was wonderful to see all six of these amazing actors again. Feels like yesterday watching them on tv.
Lmao Eve: "It's really boring"😂😂 lmao she's a gem 💯♥️♥️♥️
Eve looks good❤
Yeah so so boring
Canadian's watched the Brady Bunch too they get renovate an experience with being a bit bigger, a bit older, just a lovely idea, I hope to see the renovation on TV soon, its nice to see people getting along so well!
Wow! I cannot believe this year marks the 50th anniversary of the Brady Bunch.
ABC had a real gem with this show.
@@georgemaster9271 ..I couldnt stand the B.B . Watched one episode . Prefered the Adams Family.
Sean Powell I hope MeTV does a retrospective of the show,if ABC doesn't do it first!
I’m 66 and loved the show as a kid. My daughters loved the show when it came out in syndication. They mixed up the words to the theme song and couldn’t believe I knew the right words. A few months later we got the internet and they looked it up. Mom got ‘em one this one.

HAPPY 50th Brady bunch 🌞
Alice the housekeeper along with her beau Sam the butcher....gone now but not forgotten...
Yeah, I am still trying to figure how a middle class family affords a live-in servant.
The impact the interior of that house had on me is huge!
I remember it perfectly, they did a great job.
I studied Architecture;)
=)
Yeah we all wanted to live there. Imagined it to be in Sherman Oaks somewhere in the hillside, what you say upper-income area near where I lived at the time. And not far from where it was.
Damn this makes me feel old ,the 2 younger boys used to come in my brother inlaws hobbie shop and race slot cars with me when i was 10
Funny how Mike Lookinland looks the oldest of all of them.
My youngest cousin went bald in his 20s. It’s so odd to see him without his hair when he still has a baby face and that same goofy laugh as he did 40+ years ago.
I think he went through substance abuse. That can increase a person’s age. I remember him getting arrested in the late 90’s for drinking and driving.
Sam the butcher called him "Shrimpo" and he never got over it. =(
I wonder if he ever got any taller lol
Well basically they are all fairly close to the same age . Jan and Greg doesn't look like the fountain of youth either . And Cindy looks like she just got out of bed Lol.
They all look great. And this had brought them closer again.
I feel the same as Stephen. These were the super-mega stars of my childhood. And they'll maintain that status in my life forever. Maureen is still so lovely.
I had a crush on Marcia Marcia Marcia, in 1972 when I was 10 years old.
“Because we’re a lot bigger.” Oh man l. I laughed and cried.
Global00Vintage Same here. I definitely got choked up while Marcia was talking. And laughed when Jan said her home videos of NY were boring. Gosh, what I’d give to see all 6 of them land great staring roles on different comedies. I could totally see Cindy on The Connors. Bobby, too.
All the Brady's are very HUMBLE! 💖👍 that's why the show was sooo especial!
Yea we love the Brady Bunch! A lost era feels like found again.
I am 64 years old, & still digging the whole "Brady Thing". So very cool...what they did to that house in North Hollywood!
Great memories. I'm 53 and I'll still sit and watch an episode if I'm surfing through and see it on.
What a great idea to bring that house into reality. How often is the sweetness of days gone by recreated with such attention to detail and the actual players involved. As they restored that house, they restored a piece of all of us from a time we so often long for. They exist in a feel good bubble that just can't be popped 😊
Of course she gets to sit closest to Stepehen, of course she gets to talk the most, and of course she want to buy the house. It's always MARCIA, MARCIA, MARCIA!
The Brady Bunch movie and its sequel is hundreds of times funnier than the series
Love your statement LOL Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! you just made my day thanks
Andreja Calibri 😂😂😂
Marcia - if you're gonna bitch, spell it right ;)
@@MissLizaMay I have a friend named Marcia but her name is pronounced mar see a. Her father named her after Rocky Marciano
A brilliant move by the network. Smartest investment HGTV EVER made. So much free publicity and in forms like this segment - that you can't even BUY.
Agreed.
I loved the idea to get them all together again to help build that house. It had to be a really fun and emotional experience. Fun to watch, too. I think the series is a perfect 50th anniversary tribute to the show.
Five Seasons and only One Christmas episode! Classic episode though! At least they made *A Very Brady Christmas*
I'm kind of partial to the Hawaiian trip with the idle, spider and Vincent price. I also like the Grand Canyon vacation.

Those were the days my friends, I thought they’d never end...
Drinking tea with the Bradys... just like I did 50 years ago!
It's great to see them all together and they all look great.
With all the negativity in the world.. America being divided politically..socially...economically.. this show ACTUALLY brings people together no matter whether you are rich or poor..Democrat or Republican or Independent...doesn’t matter your social status...race or religion. What HGTV has done for the community has brought people TOGETHER... as a COMMUNITY.
I love how some of them still have the same exact voice. :)
I find it a relief that a beloved tv father didn't turn out to be some sort of creep
He died of AIDS though.
@@strawberryseason So? He was a good human being & like a true father figure to all of them.
Wow! Turned it into a real house of Brady!
Where's cousin Oliver? God, cousin Oliver was the "jump the shark" moment for the Brady Bunch.
I just want to say thank you to you for showing them and to them for showing themselves
I wish we could get reruns of the Brady Bunch so that I could share them with my kids
All I know that the Brady bunch episodes are all on Hulu last I checked
Breanna Perkins thanks 🙏
Sad that Florence Henderson died in late 2016, Ann B. Davis in 2014 and Robert Reed.
Robert Reed has been gone a long time. Since 1992.
No one gets out alive.

I saw Maureen McCormack at the local Fatburger in Westwood Village while attending UCLA in the late 70s one night on a munchie run.
cool story bro
...So I started up a conversation and we have lived happily ever after since.
I love how they are all still so close, and how they all turned out so well! Having great adults on set (and I assume, at home) makes a big difference!
And the band played the theme. So cute.
Happy 50th Anniversary to The Brady Bunch.
i just am cryyyyyyying
Christopher Knight was Always the handsome one to me..young or older☺. He still looks good.
Yay!! The brady bunch!! I love that show.
I think I'll take a walk outside now, I just can't stay inside all day gotta get out and play It's a sunshine day.
Whose job was it to hunt down orange Formica for the kitchen counter?
Wow, that was beautiful to see. God bless and keep them.
I always wondered why the Brady's had that staircase when they OBVIOUSLY lived in a one story house. The outside doesn't even match the layout on the inside.
LOL, true!
It's hard to believe that "The Brady Bunch" first aired on television 50 years ago today!
Bittersweet to watch these folks. They really seem to care about each other & their departed co-stars. Still, I kept wondering why nobody mentioned Alice? She was a mainstay of the entire show & easily my favorite.
Yes! Alice was my favorite. Her delivery on humor was great.
My favorite, too.
Alice was too "working class" for the show - the writers even made her boyfriend a butcher. Pffft! I'm in my mid-50s too and always wondered where are the people of other ancestries were in the Brady's town. Even my little Canadian hometown had, just to name a few, Native Canadians, Sikhs, people from the Caribbean, Greeks, and Far East Asians including many Japanese people
The 1974 episode called Kelly's kids where mike and carols friends were to adopt a boy and than adopted his two best friends who were asian and black. I remember a few blacks kids in various episodes when they were at school, I always loved seeing the hairstyles. The Brady's never had friends for more than one episode. They stayed in that house and backyard most of the time with each other.

I appreciate their honesty with their hands on support of the renovations. Lots of folks dont realize that many of them had difficult, challenges after the show: drugs, finances, and finding work.
Its great to see ALL 6 kids ALIVE AND HEALTHY after all these years.........
Yes, unlike Different Strokes.
True, poor Todd. But the actor who played his step brother Sam is still living.
Marsha Marsha Marsha.
Sure, Jan. 😏
Not the right spelling but..
lol True Bruce - but a lot has happened in the 30 or so years since I watched even a re-run of this show... But I remembered the final period to my ellipsis!
OH MY NOSE!!!
Rest in Peace Florence Henderson and Robert Reed.
Carol and Mike Brady
Came here straight from the "Very Brady Renovation aftershow" clips on UA-cam. 👍
Why is it that I feel that the world was so much simpler during this era ? The Brady Bunch was one of my favorites.
Kristine Kristine and Peter That’s Nostalgia talking. It was on from 1969-1974. Simpler? Vietnam, early Watergate, counterculture, Woodstock, Stonewall Riots & beginning of Gay Liberation, Manson murders, the key years for radical feminism. The reality of those years was a far cry from the fantasy of the Brady Bunch.
I think it felt like a simpler time because we were children. Our parents shielded us from the bad stuff that was going on.
Bringing back so many memories... love it!!!
Oh heck. I still love them!
Awesome! Super fun to see them now!!!!!!!!!!!!
I grew up watching the Brady bunch. It's nice to see them all together years later.
It's so wonderful to see the iconic Brady kids all together again!!! They are as wholesome today as they were back then! It's great to know the Brady home still exists and has been restored! Are there going to be any tours of the home? I'm especially a fan of the last season in which Jan blossomed into a gorgeous young lady! Being a middle child, my all-time favorite Brady's are Jan and Peter. I proudly own the last Brady Bunch season on DVD!!!
I actually met Sherwood Schwartz before he passed. That man definitely deserves to be in the Smithsonian.
That's pretty awesome! I loved The Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island so much, and still do. He did some other iconic shows, but those two are just legendary.

Awesome to see the Brady kids in 2019 even though Bobby looks older when he was the youngest on the show.
What a "Twilight Zone" experience it must be to sit and have a conversation with all the adult Brady kids.
Bobby looks like Uncle Giggles from The Flintstones.
Bobby looks older than everyone.
I didn’t know Seth Macfarlane was a member of the Brady bunch

Sure, Jan. 😏
Marsha, Marsha, Marsha
The only lyric I remember is 'the youngest one in curls' but the show is iconic
Lemme try... (this is off the top of my head from what I can remember)
Here's a story
Of a lovely lady
Who was raising up three very[?] lovely girls
All of them had hair of gold, like their mother, the youngest one in curls
Here's a story
Of a [something] fellow
Who was raising up three young boys of his own
They were four men, living all together, yet they were all alone
Til the one day when this lady met this fellow
And they knew that it was much more than a hunch
That this group must somehow form a family
And that's the way that we became the Brady Bunch!
I don't think I've heard this song in over a decade and yet I'm pretty sure that's mostly correct!
@@alexperaza9475 Close my friend :) "Who was Bringing up three very lovely girls" and
