If you are building a conventional surf rod, then yes the same concept applies. We suggest moving your stripper guide a little further out from the reel when building on a long surf rod. If you are building a spinning surf rod, then we have a video on spacing spinning rod guides as well
This is true! That's why guide tubing is so useful. Mike uses them to slide the guides up and down the blank until he finds the best layout. He is also using a thicker string to illustrate the line and make it more visible for the video. In reality you would be using a much thinner line like braid.
Mike Thanks fo anotherr OUTSTANDING video!!! You instruct and DO NOT over sell the products you offer.
Mike is the man! If you haven't taken a virtual or in-person with him, it's a must.
This is a great break down of deflection and spacing one of the best mud hole videos I’ve seen. Keep up this series I love it
Is it the same concept on surf rods?
