Much ❤ to the Von Erich family! Kevin is from my area! I grew up watching them as a kid and wrestling against Ric Flair! Wrestling at the chase at the Checkerdome was the best thing to go see as a kid! much ❤ to St. louis old school wrestling!
I was crying all through the movie, but then again I knew I would be. Kerry Von Erich was the first person I ever saw wrestle barefoot & I was hooked! Grew up watching him, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes (amongst others) "wrassle" on tv. Had to cuz my uncle & all my male cousins did so religiously every Saturday! So glad the surviving son worked through the family trauma & is living his best life with his huge family in Hawaii. ❤❤❤
I'm glad the story got told on the big screen. But, after already knowing the story, I knew this was one I wasn't going to see. The story of the Von Erichs is just tragic. All that death, man it's just a lot. But the second oldest Kevin Von Erichs is still alive with 4 kids. Two of them are wrestlers carrying on the Von Erichs name. So some goodness in there.
Not knowing the Von Erich’s before watching I went into this film very optimistic… after I watched it I called all my siblings like I never wanna lose you 😭😭
Yeah, this movie is really sad. I knew about the story before the movie because I’m a wrestling fan but when you see it really tragic.the von Erich’s all of the brothers are dead except for one he lives in Hawaii now
Considering that this was a very real & true story how they portrayed everything in the movie was great. I've never been a crazy fan of Zach Efron but he definitely nailed this role.
@@THEDOORIZCLOSED I’m cryingggg. I actually love HSM the first one not the rest. It got annoying after a point 😭😭😭😭 especially when they decided to have the third one premiere in the movie theaters. Like Disney what is thisssss!!!
This movie is really a sad film. The Von Erich family, a wrestling family who were very popular in the wrestling world during the 1980s and WCCW. They also had another brother named Chris, who didn't appear in the movie due to the director or producer expressing that the family already had enough tradgedy.
Such a tragic story, seems the family curse was real 🙏🏾. The movie was very well acted though. Glad to know Kevin is alive & well, he is still married to Pam & his family lives on through him.
Zac Efron was incredible and should have gotten an Oscar nod. I can't even think about the film without tearing up. That scene when Kerry meets his brothers just wrecked me.
When my husband and i watched it We thought at first it was going to be a movie about JUST wrestling Turns out it was a whole. Family tragedy It was really sad and i cried through it But the brother who survived talks about the massive family he has now With his children and grand children
Man, yeah. I was not ready for how heavy this movie was and didn't think I was actually going to finish it because of the length and not being a huge wrestling fan but it sucked me in and tore me up. 😢
I've never seen this movie. So, I sat here trying to figure out why Marvel would make a sad superhero move, and then I realized I was confusing this with Iron Claw with Iron Fist.
The 2 sweetest parts of the movie is when Kerry arrives in the afterlife & is reunited with his brothers & he meets Jack Jr. & the part where Ross & Marshall tell Kevin that they’ll be his brothers after telling him it’s okay to cry.
Oh yes, I saw this in the movie theaters with my mother. It was so tragic beyond words. The actors really did their part and Sean Durkin the director really did his part too! I’m mad it didn’t get more accolades because it was a real tearjerker!
Went to go see the movie the first week and Jeremy's character and the ending BROKE ME the most! When his son said he'll be his brother, I had to slide down in my seat in tears
I really enjoyed the movie. I wanted to watch it in the theaters, but missed the opportunity. I think all the actors did a great job. If you’re a wrestling fan, especially of 80s wrestling, you should definitely watch!
I saw this awhile back not knowing the history of the family and I was shocked at the horrible luck they had!!! I loved the movie though, highly recommended !
"Well, and now I'm dehydrated." That is the only way to describe how you feel after this movie. I called my Sister, who I talk to just about every day anyway, just to say I love you.
It really was heartbreaking and had the nerve to come out in december like what df. I watched it months after Christmas so i wouldnt feel depressed before
As a huge wrestling fan I’ve always heard about the Von Erich curse. Now as for drugs and pills that was very common in the business then. I’m so glad wrestlers today aren’t indulging in that stuff anymore.
When I tell you this movie had me in MY FEELINGS!! And Zac Efron was acting DOWN! Definitely listen to the podcast Behind the Bastards. They have an episode about Vince McMahon and they touch on the Von Erichs a little bit.
They had another brother that the movie didn’t talk about. He committed suicide at the age of 21 and Kevin (the surviving son) found him with a hole in the back of his head. I can see why he probably didn’t want to have that death in the movie.
the Von Erich’s had a curse put on their family! Mike, Chris Kerry, & David all 💀 themselves! Kevin Von Erich still is involved in wrestling and “Lance Von Erich” was a fraudulent “cousin!”
Lol I work for a theatre chain so I see basically every movie. This movie took me ALL the way out last year. Thought it was about wrestling and drugs going in and boy was I wrong.
Wrestling is a really sad industry. As someone who used to work at WWE i can honestly say this is a business that attracts people with a lot of trauma, myself included.
The Von Erichs were actually 6 bros irl. 3 of which committed suicide.... helluva story... they're a wresslin dynasty.."i used to be bro but im not a bro anymore" took me clean out when i watched...his poor heart must ache daily 😢😢💔
This is a real life story. It's such a traumatic movie. The Von Erichs
Zac was incredible in this movie. I had not occurred to me that he was that talented.
Much ❤ to the Von Erich family! Kevin is from my area! I grew up watching them as a kid and wrestling against Ric Flair! Wrestling at the chase at the Checkerdome was the best thing to go see as a kid! much ❤ to St. louis old school wrestling!
You’re from the Dallas-Ft Worth area?!
nah Kevin was from Belleville Illinois!
I was crying all through the movie, but then again I knew I would be. Kerry Von Erich was the first person I ever saw wrestle barefoot & I was hooked! Zac Efron should’ve gotten an Oscar nomination for this.
Absolutely agree. I'm used to seeing him in like High School Musical and Hairspray but he did his thing with this.
Ikr. He was amazing!
Yeah, this movie is really sad. I knew about the story before the movie because I’m a wrestling fan but when you see it really tragic.the von Erich’s all of the brothers are dead except for one he lives in Hawaii now
Great movie. Efron should have gotten an Oscar for this.
They was the Kennedy of professional wrestling
Yea as a wrestling fan this has always been such a sad and scarring situation
Considering that this was a very real & true story how they portrayed everything in the movie was great. I've never been a crazy fan of Zach Efron but he definitely nailed this role.
Yeah i finally forgave him for high school musical after this movie fr tho lol

Yes, I loved watching Kerry aka Texas Tornado on Saturday mornings😢 I could not watch the movie because I already knew the ending. So sad...
Grew up watching the Von Erichs 😢 the whole family was a staple in wrestling
Zac Efron was incredible and should have gotten an Oscar nod. I can't even think about the film without tearing up. That scene when Kerry meets his brothers just wrecked me.
I watched them wrestle as a child & remembered how this unfolded.
This movie was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It was just heartbreaking 💔
This movie made me legit hate the father
What did he do?
What happened ?

We thought at first it was going to be a movie about JUST wrestling

It was really sad and i cried through it

Omg can I tell you how accurate this is! That last scene had me crying! I have two sons who are young so that hit me like a brick!
I've never seen this movie. So, I sat here trying to figure out why Marvel would make a sad superhero move, and then I realized I was confusing this with Iron Claw with Iron Fist.

It was too much. I didn't know how the mother was still going. I thought it was Efron's best performance, should get a nomination
Oh yes, I saw this in the movie theaters with my mother. It was so tragic beyond words. The actors really did their part and Sean Durkin the director really did his part too! I’m mad it didn’t get more accolades because it was a real tearjerker!
before I'd be like why you crying at commercials.. today I cry at everything😢😢
The ending of the movie was beautiful with the way they portrayed them in the after life
I was apart of that movie as the character #johnnyx100
Went to go see the movie the first week and Jeremy's character and the ending BROKE ME the most! When his son said he'll be his brother, I had to slide down in my seat in tears
Sounds like a curse because goodness gracious. How could so much premature death follow a family?
yup
The dad imo. Haven’t watched it but generational trauma comes from parents.
What was even sadder it’s all true😢. I watched them wrestle here in Dallas with my parents.
The von Erichs was big back then. ❤ This was a good movie. When I first saw their were making this I was so amped.
The true story was even sadder.
I really enjoyed the movie. I wanted to watch it in the theaters, but missed the opportunity. I think all the actors did a great job. If you’re a wrestling fan, especially of 80s wrestling, you should definitely watch!
Yeah this one was truly tragic. I saw some of their life story on the doc the darkside of the ring. The movie I barely made it threw it.
I saw this awhile back not knowing the history of the family and I was shocked at the horrible luck they had!!! I loved the movie though, highly recommended !

I have been putting this off. Thanks for confirming it might be too much for my emotions. Thank you Kev.
"Now I'm dehydrated"😂😂😂
I couldn't watch it. Zac should have gotten oscar nomination.
It's too heart busted to watch.
As a huge wrestling fan I’ve always heard about the Von Erich curse. Now as for drugs and pills that was very common in the business then. I’m so glad wrestlers today aren’t indulging in that stuff anymore.
I knew what was going to happen cause it's a true story, and I still cried at the end.
i’m an only sister to 3 brothers and this movie had me spiraling. the thought of losing one of them is horrible.
This movie done took all of Kev tears ☹️
When I tell you this movie had me in MY FEELINGS!! And Zac Efron was acting DOWN!
Definitely listen to the podcast Behind the Bastards. They have an episode about Vince McMahon and they touch on the Von Erichs a little bit.
Sad sad true story! My dumb but watched it at the theater 🤦🏾♂️
I’m sorry this is too funny 😭 I can see myself sobbing too loudly getting kicked out lol I’m never watching it, personally
Kerry took his own life after getting back to health after losing his leg. David was one that didn’t
I’m never watching this movie so I have to hear everything secondhand lol
You know this is the story sorta of the Von Ehrichs from the wrestling family.
They had another brother that the movie didn’t talk about. He committed suicide at the age of 21 and Kevin (the surviving son) found him with a hole in the back of his head. I can see why he probably didn’t want to have that death in the movie.

The von erichs yup. Living up to the name of wrestling royalty can be taxing
Amazing movie though
I sobbed my face off in the cinema.
I cried so much it was like a bee stung me
I don't have sons and i don't have brothers, but I've watch the movie a few times now and that ending scene destroys me every time.
It's really sad
Wrestling is a really sad industry. As someone who used to work at WWE i can honestly say this is a business that attracts people with a lot of trauma, myself included.
This movie sparred many ppl from bein even more devastated. Look up a UA-cam documentary on what they left out of the movie
Watched it in the theater with some coworkers…we were all sobbing for last 10 mins of the movie
I think the real story is even more sad

Awww no! That's the wrong movie for you to watch Kev!!!
I'm familiar with the story - very sad and traumatic what happened to this family.
Great movie about breaking generational curses!
🤔🤨
I stopped the video, I'ma watch it this weekend and come back.
Agreed now watch graves of fire flies.
I cant…
Now I gotta see this smh.
Like the Carter family geez😢
You need to read about when the living son had talk his own father out of taking his life years after the fact
Bro cried through his pores.
If it makes anyone feel better the surviving brother is living a happy life and his sons now carry on the Von Erich name
It really was
Kevin gets into wrestling arc next? 👀
😬
even worst is the real life story
Hey kev small chance you might be interested in wrestling shoot videos. They arent all sad but great stories and entertainment.
Ain't you a wrestling fan? You never heard of th legendary Von Erichs?
Yea…
My Brother wouldn’t care. He’s going to say rent is due. But I’m not watching this movie.
First. And I'm a wrestling fan
I couldn’t watch it. I love the Von Erichs
