There are many components to doing a pro job. One resource I found which successfully combines these is the Magic Container Plans (check it out on google) definately the most incredible info that I have ever seen. Check out this amazing resource.
NOT well laid out. Bleak, nothing to make it fun. Certainly kitchen for one! Bed not even as good as a loft. Not cozy. Wish you didn't use BAIT to get viewers....just be honest instead.

I like this house better than most; like the efficiency of putting plumbing in one zone, a big money saver. Well conceived and executed.
as an architecture student i really like tiny houses. It's helps me having a better understanding of " space ". I learned that a single square meter can helps do many things. In tiny houses, space have to be multifunctional. But in this one , i don't think the space is really optimised. i feel pressured without even getting inside.
That ottoman should be taller, so that it can support the bed without the cushion, which should be removable. Otherwise, that cushion is going to end up 1/2" thick within a month.

Or the bed could just support itself by having a hinging system that simply rotates into a vertical position under gravity; can even double as a shelf if you make it L-shaped in cross section with the ability to retain objects on there.

It's called that because they were first made and used in the Ottoman Empire. The Middle East is responsible for far more of our modern world than a lot of people are willing to admit.
I had to down vote this, not because it wasn't nice, but because it sure didn't live up to the hype of "The Most Cleverly Designed Tiny House." There is no couch or comfortable place to lounge, no place to put a TV and no place to eat. Sorry, but there needs to be a bear minimum of comfort to make these tiny homes work and this one didn't have it. Also, that built in ladder looked really hard to climb.
I'd be very surprised if they manage to sell more than a handful of these. It honestly doesn't seem designed for real people.
Can you imagine climbing into that high sided tub? All it takes is losing your balance one and your foot goes straight through the composting toilet less than half an inch away.

seats murph to bed so the other side can fit a tv. that black thing is what again?could fit a bi-fold table frm ikea. tiny fridge could extend to the ground for half fridge.the entire area beyond toilet/kitchen is fail.
also did anyone else notice the the "main bed" was on a huge slant when it was resting on the bench

For someone like me, that can't use a loft, this is perfect. I love the entire concept. You sure can see the workmanship in this one, and it's wonderful. The only thing I would add would be a table, to hang on the wall across from the large bed, to set up at the bed, with those 2 other bed pieces being extra seating. (smaller of course) Perfect for getting together for a meal with friends. Oh, and make drop down legs for the bed too Living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, and bath. OUTSTANDING!!!!

The idea of a small house I feel tends to make you spend more time outside than a big home dweller. That is better for the human spirit.

I particularly love the big bed ; a great break away from the cramped loft (You could actually attach a fold out desk/table to the Murphy bed panel that you could use when you aren't sleeping) The only thing I'd like is a bigger fridge but this is amazing !And I love the little reading or sleeping nook above the kitchen ! truly inspired !
Yeah, the bed situation does need to change. I'd add some sort of supporting brace to the wall, or fold-out legs to the bed to keep it level.
Why would anyone let alone 400plus peops dislike this vid? This tiny house is clearly well thought out and adorable.
I like that the plumbing was thought out and back to back. It really helps in the separation of the two areas.
Just a little tip for you guys:
most of the people who are looking into these video's or just looking up information about these houses useually aren't your reggular guy alraight. They know their shit and they know why they would want a house like that. These people don't care where the bed is, or how big the bathroom is. They care about the electrical, the sanitairy, the build quallity, options and pricing, maintenance and expandabillity! Maybe you could make more in debth videos covering these topics in the future as they are things people really want to know. Thanks!

While this particular house is probably kinda pricey because of the luxury appliances & finish, the structure itself is relatively cheap.
Compared to other tiny house layouts I have seen, this doesn't have the storage or lounging space that others do. There seems to be a lot of unused spaces. But I love the paneling type work and the kitchen couteropts.

I really liked this video and I could see my husband and myself in this tiny home. With a few tiny tweaks we could be resting with our feet up, drinking sweet tea. Enjoyed the video.

I love the idea of a Murphy bed instead of a loft bed.
Except it uses a cushion on one side for support, so depending on the weight of the person sleeping on it, you could be uneven.

I think it needs legs or definitely something sturdier to support the bed. But a definite requirement to be able to move the furniture out of the way.
This is one of the nicest and best I have ever seen. So clean and functional, gives a good feeling of airiness.
Finally...a tiny house design I love. The light wood interior is awesome for its Scandinavian vibe. Best feature and most common sense bed solution is the Murphy bed. I personally can't imagine navigating a ladder or narrow stairs when I wake up in the middle of the night.

My question is how does one get in the tub? I mean the rim is nearly waist height on the designer. So either you would have to sit on the edge and swing your legs over, which doesn't seem pleasant because the tub is wood, or would have to get a step stool.
I could move in right now. I'm danish so the "Scandinavian style" soothes me fine (though a lot of Scandinavian people doesn't actually live like that😊). Downsizing, solar panels and caring for a cleaner environment is the new black and hopefully it will stay like that for many years to come.

I usually don't like tiny houses without a large loft or bedroom but this one I really loved with all that storage and practicality. The bathtub is my favorite part of this.
I love this home, it is perfect that the main sleeping space is not in a loft and love the wood and the great use of limited space. Brilliant work!
My favorite parts of this build are the soaking tub and the horizontal murphy bed! I appreciate not having a loft bedroom!

Some very unique features, drawer refrigerator, bathroom / kitchen division, vertical murphy, panelized building process.I guess the layout and finish follows my taste. Probably the best tiny I've seen, perfect setup and materials. Good job people.

I would like tho float an idea...maybe do an episode or two differentiating full time RV living VS Tiny home living i.e. cost differences, longevity of the two different types of construction. I think many people look to full time RV living because its relatively inexpensive and immediate but find out that inexpensive many times translates into shorter longevity.

Yeah I like that idea bc we are moving away from tiny houses fulltime to how to monetize more than just the fantasy of it-although fantasy is a fabulous marketing and sales draw. Many of us will be doing long term travels in these-just taking the whole paradigm back to it's original function, albeit farther distances or swankier weekends without kids-work-obligation-I am inspired myself on how we are in a unique time when so many ages of humans are alive and we can empart and share knowledge-human emotions - and when expressed as creative endeavors- all designers are artists of a more precise caliber.
I've read a lot of the negative comments here, and while I agree there are some problems, there are also some great ideas here!
The Murphy bed is ingenious, though leveling the bed to true horizontal is a MUST. Easily accomplished by lowering its swing-point a few inches or, as I suggest below, using appropriate-length flop-down legs to support it instead of the cube-seats. Speaking of which, better seating is a MUST -- put a sofa there.
Here's an idea: the Swiss Army Murphy bed. Design the Murphy bed to have a flat-screen TV permanently mounted to it so it can be a TV wall when up; have flip-down legs when it's down. Build a flip-down desk that can used when bed is up, with a computer storage compartment in the wall to the left of the bed for easy deployment for desk mode; lose the worthless rocker and provide a real nice office chair for desk mode. By day it's an office space, dinner table, and entertainment wall, and by night it's a bed. In the wall above the flipped-down bed, put storage compartments. The biggest problem by far with most "tiny" designs is a severe lack of storage. Without storage, you get a very cluttered, stressful, unsightly living space, and everything out in the open collects dust.
Other than that, love the deep tub, but it needs to be more durable than wood. And it's obvious from the video that that stainless steel siding is a bad choice (rust stains already). Other than these things, I really like this design!

For the murphy bed: love the view from in-bed, looking up through the tall ceiling and out the windows to the trees.

Here we have a New England salt box in New Mexico replete with a Scandinavian wood cabin style bathroom equipped with a deep cedar Japanese ofuro style soaking tub and a Swedish style composting toilet.

I like the tub a lot , that's the best feature along with the solar panel - though all the wood paneling appears raw, unsealed/varnished - not a potential problem ? also the silver chrome outside - would it not get super hot in the summer /sunlight?

There is a lot to like about this home, but there are several details that could be improved upon. Several have mentioned the bed that sits at an angle making it unusable (I can see myself rolling over my wife in the night) and this needs to be redesigned, I can think of a couple solutions off the top of my head.
The cabinets in the kitchen being open as they are would drive my wife insane, and if you move the home while living in it would be catastrophic. You would have to pack up everything before moving, this negates the point of a tiny home on wheels. I agree with others about the need for a freezer, though the drawer fridge is a good idea. I know people like to think they are providing ample storage, but this kitchen could be made to be far more efficient and increase storage much more than it is. I am a design takes a back seat to function kind of person. I think you can have both, but it takes a good bit of thought to utilize the spaces at their maximum.
A last thought about the overall structure (even though it is by no means a last thought), has to do with aerodynamics. I know this house is made to be parked by all the design choices, but the front of any tiny home on wheels should not be made as an air ram, flat and unforgiving. This is something I have thought for many years, since I have been following this movement in tiny living. The space at the front of the trailer comes to a V form which can be used in any number of ways for added storage, with the benefit of reducing drag when pulling these behemoths behind a one ton truck.
Some people do, and some just complain. One group is useful.
Some just go along, while others think about making improvements for safety as well as convenience, I have to believe you're a go along type. Critical thinking makes the world a better place to live, too bad so few take the time to think about improving upon an idea. I was not trying to be insulting towards the builder, but instead give input to a fellow builder. Sorry you felt like I was "complaining".

Ya Don. A very thoughtful look at the overall design with good suggestions for future improvements. Not easy to always get it right in such a small space. This tiny house though has some very interesting design points.

Right!!! So glad I'm not the only one who isn't a fan. Perhaps it's one of those things where the builder is trying to get in on the tiny house action, without really know what they're doing? I don't know, but something isn't right.

Bed configuration is a great idea. All made and no loft. Much better. You can get up in the night and use the facilities w/o going up and down stairs.
I’m addicted to watching tiny house tours. This is probably one of my least favorite. There’s no room to give it any flare or make it cozy. It would ok for a week or so but I could never live here long term. Just my opinion.

That bed is on a 45 degree angle. The whole design just seems to be poorly put together. I'm sure the construction itself is fine but it definitely doesn't merge well together.

Yea, the bed should have some (built-in) properly leveled support. No one sleeps a good night on a slanted bed. I should know it, since I once slept in a tent that I mistakenly set on a sloped area... I felt worse than a zombie, next day.

Not sure about 45, but it is really tilted. The cushion is not doing good job for supporting. Use a solid support.
I actually like it. Efficient and clean design. No clutter. you can make it your own, you can decorate it the way you want.

I dunno... I cant say I like the design trade-offs. the bed especially... and a vertical ladder to a loft... not good. Kitchen long and narrow isn't all that functional to me.

I think the tiny house is perfect. Very clean and everything was streamlined and useful. I love it. I would love living in this house but I would add some warmth and personal items. The basic home though is awesome

It's usually due to how difficult it is to implement properly. Even in this video, the bed is not deploying level. It's a bit of a challenge for a first time installer to put them in correctly. The other issue is a limitation of the types of mattresses you can use. You cannot exceed the spring rating or it'll have a tendency to open for no good reason (too light will make it hard to open), and you're also height limited based on how close to the wall the pivot is placed. That said, you need to know exactly what you want/need before you install it.

I am a fan of the way the bed is build to take less space, and you do not need a high ceiling or permanently room only for a bed.
I like the loft better because it is not too much work to take away the bed every single time you wake up or sleep and you can have guests and sleep at the same time.

Ok this is hands down the best modern design for a tiny home
I like the murphy bed. I saw a youtube of a New Zealander who moved the kitchen to one end of his family's tiny home instead of the typical (as here) galley along the wall. The result made the home seem less narrow. I'd like to see tiny homes with fold-down (for travel) awnings. In the southern US, an awning above the doorway provides some pleasant shade.

Like the Murphy bed and don't see it as a problem if it's level. Seeing the design here can't image it's not. Spacious! Never enough storage. I would have ran another whole shelf on top of the day bed for even more storage.... clothing or books. That would have allowed the book shelving to left to be used for more closet storage.

This is the nicest tiny home I have ever seen, perfect! Love the walls, kitchen, bed, loft, exterior, bathroom especially the wooden tub, the only thing I would add would be a large open out, let down from the ceiling on cables table with folding chairs stored on top...

They don't tell because the price is over $500,000, if it was reasonable they would tell. Not worth more than 50k IMO.

A lot of nice ideas. I like the kitchen sink and drawer fridge. The common plumbing wall ran in the wrong direction. Take the same amount of space and split it in the other direction. 8'wide is enough for an excellent galley kitchen with cabinets on both sides and 3.5-4 feet between work tops. There is never too much storage in a tiny house -- just because it's in the kitchen, doesn't mean it has to be for the kitchen.
This would be my favorite tiny home design as well! A great interview with a great designer/builder. I like the low-maintenance exterior--even if it is a bit too 'industrial' for some natural settings. The kitchen and main sleeping areas are just right for real, full-time living close to town and food shopping resources.
I wouldn't want the wood heater between me and the door. None of the windows look suitable to use as an emergency exit. Another fire trap

Very clever indeed, except for those open cupboards and bookshelf. I can only imagine everything falling all over the place on the first turn.
These really are not meant to move. They're constructed on trailers mainly to avoid zoning laws and such.
Chuck Glenn. Unfortunately, the zoning laws are very prejudiced against tiny houses going on a foundation. I think they want us living in debt for forty years -- it's good for the bankers.

When your bed is at a 45 degree angle and you fall out in the middle of the night and then realize you're too weak to climb up the extremely difficult ladder to get to the reading nook to go back to sleep, so you end up sleeping on the hard floor instead of just building a comfortable loft with an easier ladder to climb in the first place and ditching the un-level bed.
Note to self: I like the outside, it is a very modern futuristic look. I like the idea of putting kitchen and bathroom plumbing right next to each other, very smart. I like the murphy bed to save space. I would prefer all the wood painted a brighter color though. And no soaking tub. Sloped roof for solar panels also a great idea.
Not for me. Need more of a bedroom. And the living room is far to minimal. Not much to sit on really.
These places always seem designed to show off how clever the creators are, and not as places where people can actually lead real lives in comfort.
I converted a 1.5 car garage into a living space with a loft above and a full bath room and kitchen. It was plenty of space to live and move around and super comfortable. even had a heated floor in the kitchen! Pity I sold the house before taking many pictures of the place.

......yeah totally agree it would make sense to have the bed in the loft above the bathroom and to have a lounge/dinning room area where the bed is now......and to do something about echo in the bathroom (wood paneling instead of the Acrylic would probably solve it) that would get really annoying after a while.

Although some think it old-fashioned, I really like the look of the pine wall cladding.
