I don't see how a bipod would affect harmonics with a free floated handguard, which is sort of the point of them. If it did, so would your light, laser aiming module, and whatever else you'd put on it.

The only time a bipod would effect harmonics is if you're barrel is bedded into the stock or its attached to the barrel. Otherwise there's no pressure to cause the harmonics to change. That's just bad information being said. Bags suck. There's no adjustments to be had without adding another or squishing things around to get the gun in the right position. After every shot, it needs some adjustment (my experience). I highly doubt the little amount of fiction caused by the bag really reduces felt recoil. I've never noticed anyway. If it does, it's hardly anything. Bipod for me. They're definitely quicker. And if you're going to practice what you're going to shoot with, I don't think anyone is taking a Caldwell bag out in the field hunting, or in a combat situation. They're going to use a bipod or a tree.... or just offhand.

I prefer using a soft, frameless backpack because it's what I'll carry when I hunt. Bought 2 canteens so I won't have to use a bladder. A bladder will vary since I'd be drinking from it and change the pack dimensions and feel. Looking for feed back.

    Precision shooting calls for both.

I shoot in 200y precision match & I have found a plateau with my scores. I can’t seem to improve any further. & there is room.
Tried, rest, bags & bipod & am finding I shoot about the same from all 3.
Now it’s time to seriously review what I, the shooter, am doing fundamentally.

Normally when a bipod “changes the harmonics” it is because the stock is a cheap plastic mold or wood that isnt glass bedded, and loading the bipod results in the stock pushing on the barrel. By the time recoil travels through the stock, down the bipod, interacts with a surface, and then comes back up into the rifle, the bullet is looong gone.

I’m a new shooter looking to get into precision shooting.
What’s best to zero in my rifle

I kinda want a bipod, but ehhh, my AUG can't have one attached... & my Hellion has a weapon light/laser up front under the barrel so there's no space left if I want to grip from under the barrel.

Smh, should have paired that aug with a tavor x95 instead of the hellion
