The Jackson branded tuners on their USA guitars have been made by gotoh for 20 plus years.
yup!
I really enjoyed your presentation throughout the video. Talking in review videos are very challenging to most of us and seems like you are a natural at it. Wishing you much success in the future with your channel 👍🏻
as an owner of a custom shop BC Rich Beast, 2 Japanese Monster Beasts,a Japanese DBZ Bird of Prey, a Dean Stealth, and a Japanese Grover Jackson RR24… This is the first modern guitar to get on my radar other than a custom Moser!
I love how you cut to the chase and immediately played Bodom 😂 good call
9:28 100% yes! For heavy price points, all guitars should have locking tuners and stainless steel frets!
Agreed!
Jim Root, Slipknot, Jackson Dinky, Ozzfest 1999...made me save money for a Jackson DK2M in 2007. (took a few years as a kid)
I've been a fan of Jackson Guitars since the mid 90's, but sadly never owned one cause they're really expensive here in Brazil!
The King V and the Soloist are my favorites shapes and I totally agree: army green and black hardware is a killer combination.
Hopefully Jackson finds a solution to this so their guitars are more affordable brand new in your country!
want one!! Patiently waiting for different colour options in the HT
Unfortunately, you might be waiting a while as it seems like Jackson only has a select set of colors for their production models
Have a MIJ '92 Jackson Fusion SS Takeuchi FR bridge SSH with hot rails. All original and still going strong.
🤘
When you were playing the clean tone i heard a little bit of aic, rooster i think,my next guitar will be a jackson, total metal machine
Good ear! Yes these are great for metal and other styles as well
Yeah the relaunch has been super tempting to jump on..
They're great guitars if your budget accommodates for their price!
What is that first riff you played on the rhythm tone. Sounds familiar.
I think it was in your face by children of bodom!
Try the 24v battery in there. It makes that 81 something else. Specially for lower tunings
Yeah it woke the 808s up when I tried it. Guitar is with the owner but maybe I'll revisit that idea with another guitar in the future!
I have a video with the 24v mod and 808s on my channel as well.
I couldn't believe how acoustic it sounds on a clean setting with it dialed back . How? Right out of the box you can definitely make noises like Metallica . Anyone on the fence should go ahead and get it . I did have to add the spring they supplied to it's Floyd Rose to lower the strings , but after that it became absolutely perfect .
Active pickups are more versatile than most people think they are. Metallica tracked cleans with EMGs for years aswell, so if they can do it then I'm sure the average player could as well!
Epic QOTSA No One Knows appearence
Thanks and good ear!
@@EricMorettinthanks! Saw them live last week and it was awesome!
@@DaMustaine nice! I saw them years ago at a festival and they put on a great live performance.
Killer Jackson, sound demos were not real amp were they?
Price is very steep
They cost way too much
That's fair, although it seems like this is the average price for a USA made guitar now
@@EricMorettin doesn't make it a fair price.
all usa expensive, actually a bargain compared to other inferior brands
@nategin9009 it's just how it works man. 2500 is normal
It's 'normal' now. But that doesn't make it a fair price...whoever keeps commenting and deleting lol
needs reversed headstock
That would be so sick
I am sorry $2,500 not cool!! I am a person that doesn't expect something for nothing. I do own custom Warwick basses that are very pricey. At the same time, I knew what I was getting!! I can't see spending that kind of money on custom shop prices that are not custom shop guitars. Don't get me wrong. I like Jackson but I think they are a little late to the game.
It's expensive for sure, especially for an off the shelf guitar. But some people want it, and don't want custom which is totally fair. It feels and sounds fantastic, and the build quality was awesome. To each their own of how they'd like to spend their money, as that is all contextual/situational to the individual. Love a good Warwick custom bass!
Where can I get a custom guitar with same specs for that price? Even in my country you have to play minimum over 3k for guitar with such specs if you custom order from a local skilled luthier who builds custom stuff. Of course the brand name on head stock costs extra, but it applies to all bigger guitar companies, like Gibson etc. Hell, even PRS S2 series start at 2,3k here so yeah. Getting a neck through guitar made in US isn't that cheap anymore for real.
$2500 isn’t a custom shop price lol
@@bucknasty69 For some brands it may be, or at least this may come close to where some custom guitars can be for the price.
@@joekkez93 Kiesel might have some guitars similarily spec'd for a similar price to this, and they're made in USA. There may be some other brands like Charbonneau and Guerilla as well
Honestly, it looks no different that 100 others. Their all the same at this point. Strat style or Dinky. Still. it it makes feel like it plays better, then it does.
The tuning stability are horrible on Jackson headstocks without locking nut.
The nuts on these are cut at an angle to compensate for the headstock.
Jackson cut the nuts on these at an angle to compensate for the string angle.
It's a js with better hardware because of black headstock
Far from a JS series
Take it to go get plucked at a licensed dealer.
Do you mean Plek'd?
Great video but you repeat yourself quite a bit…
No guitar is worth more than 500 people pay for it is the problem
