    Good preaching is merely a reinforcement of truths in the Bible, not new revelations. Well done Pastor David for this amazing lesson. Thanks for the special role you have for the edification of the BOC.
    On a different note, would like to know how to submit a Single question for clarification. Thank you.

    You are correct. That "we" in Acts 16:10 got me, lol. I have been studying that book for almost 50 years, 23 in right division, and never gave attention to that! (And, I am sure there are many things I have yet to see)

    I certainly would have missed out on a lot had I not seen this. As you neared the end, I can really visualize how God has purposed things in both heaven and earth. I especially took notice when you got into how each disciple chose how to go in to their dispensation. How Luke and Paul blessed each other's ministries. One may wonder why the disciples who chose the earthly kingdom instead of joining the body of Christ ( heavenly), but Christ chose them for that purpose and they knew it. I hope my words made sense. I have a hard time finding the right ones to use. God bless

    Excellent lesson! When reading through Acts again recently, I was struck by how the writer seemed to be including himself in Paul's gospel. Also, I think Ephesians 3:5 provides another piece of this puzzle, where other apostles are mentioned. These cannot be those of the kingdom gospel, for why would they be given revelation of the mystery? Eph 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
    It seems to fit very nicely that these apostles are likely Apollos, Silas, and Luke.

    Thank you Sir David for another sermon help to edify the Body of Christ to counter the false doctrine spread in Christendom today. Please include me in your prayers that God will enable me by His sufficient grace to speak boldly the message and the power of the gospel of grace here in my community in the Philippines.. God bless you all with grace and peace, Bryan from Mindanao, Philippines.

    If we are part of the body of Christ and he will sit on the throne of David forever, wouldn't we be here as well, being Christ's body?

    Had to be a challenge for these kingdom church members, who, after having obeyed the law of Moses for some period of time, to agree to follow Paul in his ministry and stop the practice of the law, start preaching to an audience (Gentiles) that they are not under the law.
    Another passage that comes to mind regarding Paul vs. those of the circumcision:
    Romans 15:20 KJB _Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:_
    Would seem to me that the book of Luke was written only by the historical time of the contents of 2 Timothy, as Luke could not be able to say he had perfect understanding (under the context of working with Paul) until the last of Jesus' revelations to Paul had been given and spoken by Paul, at the end of his life.
    Luke 1:3 KJB _It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,_

    Great message ! Gal. 2:7 the word "of" is the key! It is not the word "to". Big difference. If words matter.
    Again, this message is clear and easily understandable.

    Brother David-Powerful sermon that got me thinking.
    In Eph.4: 11, it states the gifts , one of the them apostles. Since these gifts ceased( 1 Cor 13:8), couldn’t they possibly revert back to the kingdom program?

      You talk about the workers ( Barnabas, Apollos, et.al) that “transferred ” to grace from the kingdom program. Since the gifts ceased (one being apostles ) , and the faith was now perfect(1 Cor 13:10), isn’t it possible that these guys reverted back to the kingdom program ,after the knowledge of grace became perfect ? ( Romans11:29)

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  9 місяців тому +4

      @@d0cn0tes Anything is possible, but we are not aware of any verse that would suggest such a thing. Moreover, it seems contrary to God's purposes in transferring them to the body of Christ. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. Grace.

    Since you argue from Acts 14:14 that Barnabas must be an “apostle” to the Body of Christ, since the apostles to Israel are fixed at 12, how do you reconcile this with Galatians 1:19 where “James, the Lord’s brother” is reckoned with “the apostles”? Is James an apostle to Israel or to the Body of Christ?

    • @ColumbusBibleChurch
      @ColumbusBibleChurch  9 місяців тому +1

      @stevenhayes1611 Good point. For certain, James is not an apostle to the body of Christ, but this raises the issue of the number 12. I will have to study and think about this.

      @@ColumbusBibleChurch James can't be one of the 12 - his belief that Jesus was in fact the Christ, was after Jesus' resurrection and it was Jesus Himself who proved it to him post-resurrection, wherein James was not a follower of Jesus during His earthly ministry, just like Paul, who also is not one of the 12. James became a "Little Flock" contributing member, his inheritance the earthly Kingdom. All to say, "the number 12" is not at issue; James' apostleship does not "tip the scales" of "12". 🤗👈 A hug and a smile for you today, Pastor David, from Oregon!
