i absolutely LOVE the cerave daily moisturizing lotion. i tried the jar of it because they didn’t have it in store when i went in, and it was NOT as good at all. plus you use your fingers and dip them in the jar which is contaminating it. i don’t think i’ll ever get a different moisturizer other than the cerave pump moisturizer😭😭
I love it too!! The cream is a lot heavier and more occlusive, so I could see how you might not like it. I mostly use the cream for barrier protection when I go snowboarding or on my super dry shins in the winter. Btw if it's just the jar packaging you don't like, they have a travel size that comes in the tube format!
I have got dry and sensitive skin i have been using cerave daily moisturising lotion for a while this has done wonders for me my skin feels moisturised throughout the day
I tried the CeraVe moisturising cream and it have that matt finish and I felt my face still tight I really didn't like it, is the lotion also have that or not?!!!!
I am binge watching you videos! They are so helpful and I really need these videos and this one is perfect for me. I have sensitive skin and my forehead get pretty oily
HI BEAUTY 1. YOU ARE SO PRETTY. all I did was stare at you haha. 2. can you do more expensive brands bc i am so so so so sensitive i cannot use anything with more than 5 ingredients and the brand I loved just ended (silk therapeutics hyrda rich cream with only 5 ingredients!) i am willing to spend $$ for my skin to not freak out!!
Hey! I wanted to ask a question regarding skin types. I’m having a struggle finding my exact skin type and I’m in need of helppp. I tried the cleansing method to help find my skin type (where you cleanse and wait an hour to see how your skin feels without any product). The results showed that my skin felt tight (especially around the nose, it was a bit flaky) (and around the mouth area, like the upper lip and around the lip and nose area), my forehead was regular Ig, not too oily or dry really. My cheeks were normal to dry I’d say. When I smiled, they felt tight. Those were all my results. However, during the day, I notice that my forehead and nose get really oily. Like I will swipe my finger on my nose and forehead and I will feel oily residue. However, on my cheeks during the day, they fell typically regular I’d say. But.. I have most acne on my cheeks (specifically the side - next to side burns). I’m so unsure of what skin type I have. If you can help, that would be amazing!! Thank you💞🦋
Also to add one thing.. I feel like I might be combination skin. Where my T ZONE gets oily (except the chin ) and my cheeks are typically normal with minimal tightness (when I’m wearing moisturizer). I still have no idea. And I’m currently only washing my face once a day due to not keeping track with my skin as well as not drinking a lot of water and eating like two times a day (oatmeal for breakfast and something greasy for dinner) if that helps figure out my skin 😩 THANK YOU !!
Hello! And you might have combination skin, combination skin is where you have different skin types throughout all around your face it’s totally okay just try using combination skin type products 😊
@@weeniejr4231 Hello! And you might have combination skin, combination skin is where you have different skin types throughout all around your face it’s totally okay just try using combination skin type products 😊
Hi Cathy! I'm a huge fan of your channel and I wanted to ask you a little question. Lately I have been breaking out alot and I have used different products so I know it's not a product I'm using. Should I go to the dermatologist?
Hey!!! Did you introduce a ton of new products at once? Especially actives like bha or retinoids? That can sometimes cause some temporary issues. But if you can see a derm they can look at your skin and recommend more specific and targeted treatments for you!!
I stated skincare about 2 years ago and my skin was fine, then I started noticing that some products would irritate my skin and I immediately stopped using them. Now I feel like my skin has gotten more sensitive over time and I can’t even use the products that were once good for my skin :(( I really don’t know what to do because my skin gets worse and worse no matter what I do, why should I do? (I don’t know if anyone sees this because this video is pretty old but please I need advice😭)
I’m sorry to hear that! My skin is also super sensitive and I love the Vanicream moisturizer. I found that staying out of the sun and using the most mild products helps me the most. I hope that helps you as well!
I have dry skin but don't have sensitive skin as such in that it can tolerate fragrance, essential oils and alcohol without any issues as they are in my sunscreens and a lot of my moisturisers are fragranced or have EO. But my skin reacts to strong products like acids, like I could never use glycolic acid or anything more than mandelic acid actually. So I think my dry skin makes it react to strong products, but not to irritants. LRP Cicaplast is my favourite face cream
I really love the Laneige water bank moisturizer. What is your opinion? Also I have issues with some moisturizers getting clumpy on my face, I don’t know what causes it. Any idea?
Hey I wanted to ask, is it okay to sweat after finishing skincare and applying everything on the face?? Like after I apply moisturizer, sometimes my face sweat alot because it's summer here. So do I have to clean it? Or keep it like this and let the air dry it?? Cz I can't really wash my face after I've just finished my skincare. But will the sweating cause any acne??
Yes, it’s normal depending on the product and or your environment. Ingredients like cetyl alcohol used about a certain percentage gives you that sweaty feel. Don’t be in rush, after your skincare routine, relax and allow it air dry before stepping out or getting active/busy. If there’s anything to clean, just dab instead of wiping.
short answer: yes! caveat: but I'd recommend you wait until the ascorbic acid serum has dried down before applying the moisturizer and monitor your skin (just in case)
Short answer, yes. Longer answer, best to wait between layers. 1 min if you don't have time, or when the first layer dries but ideally longer. Apply SA first, then niacinamide.
hey, well i don't know if this is a stupid question but i have oily skin so i wash my face several times a day, but when i use skincare doesn't i wash it all off? so can i still do that?
Watch dr shereene idriss hylauronic acid. She is on youtube and explains why it is an overky hyped ingrediant in everything and actually takes moisture from youre skin because thats the closest thing to it can be inflammatory and not a good idea for sensitive skin. But dont just take it from me : ) check out her video its very informative :) good luck on youre skin journey :) and life journey :)
Agree!!! To be clear, I was not suggesting to put lactic acid & other exfoliants on extremely sensitive skin and conditions like rosacea! I should have made that more clear 🤦♀️
Hey yusi! sorry to disappoint you but that doesn't mean hydro boost gel-cream (fragrance free extra dry version) isn't great for sensitive skin. if it works for you, then that's awesome!
I love how in depth you go into the products you show on your channel
Just started skincare myself last month! Looking forward to this video as a guy who is completely lost lol
