That fret noise (not buzz) is really iconic of a jazz bass, for some reason its always the fret buzz that has a different tone to it when playing different basses, its weird man, but this ones got it
I watched this video at least a dozen times. Finally I got one of my own!
Cant play it at work, so I'll just watch Anthony again.
I just bought one of those on Amazon, but I'm not sure if this one is an original Fender, I mean, the bass looks pretty good, but when I looked closely at the logo on the head, it looked like some kind of sticker, but I had to observe it very carefully because it's not very evident, in fact if I take photos or videos it's not perceived as a sticker, however I'm afraid that this is not original, can you tell me what the logo is like in your bass head please? I would really appreciate it, thank you! 🙏

I'll try to remember to look but if I remember it is a decal as must fenders are.
Have you tried registering it on fenders website.

Just bought one 3 days ago, it’s got some weight to it, the necks pretty chunky but the sound is incredible and the case is really nice.

I’ve owned one of these for nearly 2 years. I took off the pu and bridge covers, but I’ve left it stock aside from that. My favorite bass.
I should have bought this, very unique original sound

Can you compare this against 60s American Original Jazz? Maybe it’s just me but the tone here sounds much better, even compared to your 60s AO Jazz demo video

I really like them both!! This one seemed to have a little extra punch ( that's something I notice consistently on the stacked knob configuration) - Anthony
Leo designed the covers for a specific purpose.
At great cost they were manufactured and distributed WITH the covers.
he just hated the look of the pickups

Very nice although in 2006 I bought a 60th anniversary Fender Jazz Bass and now they are releasing a different bass of the same name?
2006 was Fender's 60th anniversary. 1946-2006.
In 2010 we got the 50th Ann. Jazz Bass, in 2011 the 60th Ann. P-Bass, etc.

Stack knob is like a 60-62 thing right? And the fingerboard binding didn’t come in to mid-60s…is this kinda like a best of the 60s style instrument?
Stack knob was 1960 - Mid 1961. I believe you are correct on the binding. Yes, these are close to the American Original Series which you could consider a "best of" series. Thanks for watching - Anthony

I got a american original 60’s and those head stock have stickers as a logo same they did back then
The sound is wonderful which amplifier are you using?
He's uses a rumble combo amp.
FENDER,,have captured the musicman,,,,and every other bass,,good or bad?
What is that black thing doing on the pickguard? This bass is awesome btw.
that's a "finger rest", because back in the 50's and 60's most bass players use to play with the thumb and "grab" the finger rest with the other fingers. look at pictures od Brian Wilson.

I’m quite new with bass, what do you mean by “tall” frets?
@@ShazShaun It's the "crown" height and width. How much of the fret is above the neck and how wide it is. Check the Fender website.
Ho God, not another "new" fender Jazz bass.Will they please just stop!!
Keeping both PU covers on a Jazz is impossible - not enough room in between the 2 to play in that position.
Fender has to do away with that full sized
