Thanks. You saved my money. I wanted to buy the Taupe color on Aliexpress, but when I asked "my friends" for real photos I was receiving mixed versions. One seller send the original ones and other send the fakes ones. Now I now that Aliexpress version is not for me ! Greets from Poland :)
You’re welcome and yes that’s exactly why I do this video every year as photos can sometimes hide the material but side by side on video will always show the weak points.

It will depend on the seller, there are different versions. I just got a leather black for the 15 pro and compared with the leather case I got original for my old 12 PM… looking they are identical, you only really see differences if you stare are micro details and still, the Ali one is real leather, metal buttons, the cuts are exactly like the original, even the box looks 95% original. I wish I saved my money cause the Ali one was 12 bucks and the original 50. I always check the photos from the people that received and posted the photos.

From what I can see this is the material they’re all going to use as it’s probably too expensive for the clones to use the same as Apple.
Great insightful video thanks! Question, how’s the lip on these cases? You mentioned previously that there was a significant lip on the clone iPhone 14 leather cases, one thing I’ve loved previous is how flush the official cases fit around the screen
Clones to me seemed a tad higher so have more of a lip from what I can recall, as you can imagine I’ve not used any of those cases again since that video.
I have however used the genuine one daily since and will post an update video as it’s held up surprisingly well considering it’s been used in a manufacturing environment for my day job.
Great video, probably the best video I’ve seen on fake Apple cases that thoroughly shows the pros/flaws of the fakes compared the genuine onces

Another great review, can you tell me, can you use a leather iPhone 14 Plus case on an the iPhone 15 plus? I am nor really a fan of the fine woven as it does have the same quality, etc. Thank you
Unfortunately not, pretty sure the button alignment is different and the camera housing will be different as well.
There’s plenty of other options for for cases, have a search on my channel as I’ve done a few reviews myself for alternatives.
I have the real Apple black one and was thinking the cheaper non original might be good with a different colour but you saved me a headache

Clone cases were around £10 each btw so I agree no reason they should fit that badly.

I don’t like the silicone cases as they attract too much lint and wear out far too quickly.
I got a few of the fake fine woven and also got a genuine case. I was as unimpressed with the genuine one as the fake ones so returned it. For a quarter of the price i'll live with the fakes if i need them. Apple completely cheaped out by ditching the leather cases. On a side note i picked up some silicone fakes. Clay and Blue. Better quality than the fine woven. Same wallet animation but happier to use them instead.
I’ve never liked the silicone cases because of the lint they attract, they weren’t there best quality a few years back but they may have improved a little since
Great video. Thanks for this. Personally I think the clone cases are a hit and miss. Got one for my 13 Pro max and it's solid and works well. Only MagSafe is weak.

For the older generations they were using silicone or leather and they could copy them somewhat closely.
This new finewoven material is like a plastic yarn when looked at under a microscope and I don’t think the clones will ever copy that, they’ll just use a fake suede which looks and feels awful.

Hi , just wanted to know whether the fake ones have any negative impact on the phone software or the battery life with that fake MagSafe animation ?
I can’t see how they could affect anything to do with either, most of the time the animation on clone cases end up stop working after a while anyway.
I’m watching your video after I received my case from Aliexpress, i order the leather one, the buttons are hard to pressed also the colors are darker than the genuine one, but it seems to be ok to me compared to Fine woven cases especially the case frame doesn’t look like 14 pro leather cases, excuse my English cause it’s not my native language, just subscribed, Thank you.
Genuine finewoven case is pretty hard wearing but it’s far too slippery for my liking.
The AliExpress leather cases are always too tight and the buttons feel mushy from my experience.

Seller removed the products and I really don’t suggest you buy the clones.
Just do a search for fine woven if you really want to buy them as links are always changing.

I’m actually disappointed that Apple didn’t include a microfiber lining in the FineWoven case. This would protect the iPhones from getting scratched when dirt/grit eventually makes its way into the case.
Replied on the other video.
In total, bought over 100, cases, screen protectors, wallets, for several 📱, all but 5 fit didn't fit, and nothing over $10 🇨🇦

thanks for video. Have a silicon case replica from ali. so so quality. But FineWolven case is not good. it's very hard to put iphone inside a case
If you want fine woven I suggest just getting the iron gal, copies aren’t worth it.
They hold up quite well over time (genuine) I use it when I’m at work and it still looks fine, when I’m not at work I don’t use a case on my phone.
What about the silicone cases?
I don’t order silicone cases anymore as the quality on the clones (the material used) is too grabby and lint magnet.
Generally the quality of the clones has never been very good (as you can see from my older videos).
There are plenty of people who’ve reviewed the genuine ones, not sure if anyone’s done a comparison with clones or not.
I bought the clay silicone case of a dude on Facebook marketplace. Thought everything was fine until I watched this video! My MagSafe animation shows the wallet instead of the real case animation. I guess this is a fake 😢
