- In this weeks video I will be smoking a whole chicken using the Pit Barrel Cooker or PBC. I will be turning it into pulled chicken which I think is the best way to do chicken on the Pit Barrel Cooker.

This is a recipe I really love. It is quick, easy, and always come out great. This is a perfect option for making a delicious chicken salad as well.
A lot of times I smoke a whole chicken on the pit barrel cooker and use it for chicken salad for my lunch during the week. I highly suggest giving that a try.
The pulled chicken in this video would be great for a BBQ chicken sandwich though. I use a fantastic mop sauce to finish the chicken that adds phenomenal flavor.

Can you direct grill the skin to crisp it up? It would be good to cut that up afterwards and mix it in.
Yeah having some crispy chicken skin in with the pulled chicken would be great
any changes you would recommend if you would want to slice rather than pulled?
The only difference I would make is around 45 min before the chicken is done, I would flip it over to try and get the skin to crisp up.
That skin is rendered. Not crispy but not chewy either.
