Good job on yard bird. Boy I remember in about about 68 when I was 5 I hated holding that bird to cut his head off. What memories. No running water or toilet. We blessed today brother.
Been there done that
What a great video! I truly appreciate you taking the time to show how you cooked Edna! I thank all those veterans that are out there along with myself who's a veteran!
Perfect Timing!!! Thank you Kent Rollins!!!
Thank you John for watching
Love the background scenery, the music the cooking, great entertainer kent, thank you all for sharing you, with us, Gods love to you all
One of my favorite parts of a real Mexican family restaurant, the mariachi band, and the repeated chorus of la cuharacha and the chicken dance... when they were little my kids loved it, we would go every couple of weeks. Every time I hear that song it brings back a smile. Bless you and yours Kent, great video as usual.
Thank you for watching
These are truly some great videos. Always entertaining. Keep them coming and God bless you both.
Thank you for watching and God bless you both
Looks juicy and delicious! Can’t wait to try it. Thank you Kent and Shannon for making another awesome video.!
Thank you Anthony for watching
Mr. Rollins, I have begun telling the Chefs I encounter during the day to check you out. One guy today was baking sweet potato corn bread. The boys in Cleveland have been shifting toward southern style cooking. I know one good ol boy who loves to hunt and cook rabbit. He has traveled the world and competes in chef competitions. He serves the wealthy elite, but he is down to earth.
Thank you for watching and for sharing the videos
Good to see you both and the puppy dogs , God bless you all .
Thank you for watching Randy and God bless you as well
Definitely going to have to try this!! Looks amazing!!! Take care, stay safe and God bless!!!
Hope you enjoy and God bless you
The Beagle did not like Shannon eating. "All bites are mine!" says the Beagle.
Maxid1 LOL I thought the same thing

Love my Pit Barrel. It's a rib making machine but what it does when I'm smoking a whole chicken is just magic.
Love that you included the pets and that you recognized our servicemen. God bless you and your wife.
Thanks Jane and God bless you
That barrel method looks pretty effective! I like the spices you used. Edna looked great
Good cooker it is
Love your videos, also love my pit barrel cooker. Been using the PBC for a couple years now.
Good cookers they are
I’ve never seen one and am amazed how simple yet so effective they are.
I will be getting or making me one of those.
I've been a cook for 20 years. 16 of those years to present day, have been spent on offshore oil rigs as a Campboss in charge of the catering crews. Feeding 200+ men 4x a day.
480lbs of ribeyes a week.
4,000 eggs per week,
180 lb bacon per week.
230lbs chicken per week
160lbs coffee per week.
250lbs of pork per week.
Extra supplies for hurricane season.
and ..well...countless rolls of toilet paper. And countless meals & memories.
I've never tackled cast iron cooking in full force. I've made roux & cornbread in cast iron skillets, grilled & smoked plenty of meats over charcoal and wood, but never dutch oven cooking.
Watching you and Shannon these past few months has really inspired me to up my game and take more interest in cast iron cooking. It's fun, and taste better!
I'm sure you've probably forgotten more about dutch oven cooking than I'll ever live to know or remember, but the skills, techniques, & experience you folks have, has taught me a lot about what I didn't know or know how to do with cast iron.
Ya'll are humble, smart, and ya'll definitely love what you do. Sometimes starvation makes good food good. lol. But the best ingredient to make it better than good, is love. And that's exactly what ya'll put into every meal my wife & I have seen ya'll make.
Thank ya'll for everything you & Shannon do Cowboy Kent. We just bought the cookbook and are very excited to try out some of those fine recipes and tips. And read those tales from the trail.
Take care and keep those videos coming & we'll see ya'll down the UA-cam trail.
~Ryan & Chx
Thank you for watching Ryan and keep on cooking my friend and be safe

Kent, I'm a cook from southern Brazil (the mountains of Serra Gaúcha), and I fell in love with this channel the moment I found it. It's maybe my favorite cooking channel. The calming nature of the combination of simplicity, good taste, your accent and the humanization of food keep me coming back. I don't have much else to say but please keep making these videos.

This looks soooo good. I have been watching something on your channel every day since I found your channel. It is such a peaceful and heart warming thing to watch, with all the news now a day, and after I pray and watch the news, I have to take a break, and I go to your channel ❤ thank you so much 😊
Looks delicious! Always look forward to your videos and learning new things with you Kent!
Wow, over 1500 likes the first day of posting. I knew Kent was awesome :)
Thank you for watching
Y'all need a I like my food to bite back shirt, I'd order that.
Thanks for the birthday present cowboy Kent! Have smoked many a yardbird but have always used my own home made BBQ sauce. Have never tried a rub but will do this rub as it sounds very tasty. I make my own charcoal, mostly oak and hickory but some maple as well. Turned sixty four today so though I have a neighbor with chickens where I buy my eggs I could in theory steal one but have gotten a bit slower at running and would likely get caught! Will have to wait until I go to town and buy one I guess. Any day you put up a new video is a wonderful day! My hat is off to you and the lady. You are both a National Treasure. Many thanks from East Ky.
Happy Birthday my friend and hope you had a great day
Us veterans wont forget you! You are worth serving for...
Thanks for watching and it is our honor to give y'all respect and tell you thanks every chance we get

A pretty ol' girl indeed, looks tasty! And I like that smoker too, I could get so MUCH meat in there!
It'll hang 8 racks of ribs at a time
*sniff* it look tasty
Why do vegans exist
@@BeanMachine360 The meat eaters need examples of what happens.
Watch the mouth cowboy!
@@Passionforfoodrecipes id make a more meaningful reply if this made any sence
Kent, love your show. I have a recipe for you that is primarily from the ILL / IND area. Pork tenderloin sandwich. You can find a few examples on YT, but it's basic. Take a pork tenderloin, cut a 3/4" slice and pound it out to twice the size of a hamburger bun. Salt / pepper, dredge in egg / flour and fry. Serve with onion, mustard, lettuce etc. on a bun. Pork in ILL is almost as good as the beef. I think you're viewers might like it. Good luck.
Sounds good, thanks
Thanks Cowboy Kent. Shoutout from Morocco, North Africa.
*sniff* i wish i could cook like cowboy
it looks SOO TASTY
thanks for the idea
ima get to nabbin some of my neighbors birds

My wife and most of my family is grossed out by the little Pin Feathers. The tip that your momma used to do by burning them off, is the best tip that I heard in a long time. I'm definitely gonna use it. Thanks and a Great Video Cowboy Kent.

As usual a great video. Glad I’m still here to watch. Had quadruple bypass 6 weeks ago. Was able to watch a few videos right after surgery. Though not terribly hungry, Cowboy Kent was the first I watched. Had to keep up with what you’d been doing. God bless Kent and keep cooking.

My friend , so good to hear from you , brother , learned so much technique on the ole smoker ,from you ,and thank you for that ....but you seem an awesome guy !
My grandpa didn't have a tooth in his head. I don't ever recall seeing him eat BBQ. Every type of meat I ever saw him eat was fried, and he lived to be 90. I guarantee you that he would've loved your smoked chicken. You've inspired me to smoke one up. Right after I do a tri tip roast on the smoker. Beef is number one! I promise you chicken will be next. Take care and be safe. Vaughn
Thanks Vaughn

You guys are awesome. Thanks for all your videos. I just ordered that smoker. Been watching your videos for a long time. Catching up. Kinda binge watching lately lol
Love my Pit Barrel smoker. Using this Labor day smoking some brisket.
Great smokers they are
Love the PBC. I like the fact that you run lump in it. Lump always has a better flavor and less ash.
For sure
Always entertaining! I'm going to try this rub. The chicken looks delicious!
