Drain your tofu with a paper towel and a can on top for about and hour to get water out. I would marinate or stir fry tofu as it absorbs flavor. Also it airfrys very well!

Thank you so much! I’ll try that! I’m crossing my fingers that I can get it right this time. What do you love to use it for?

I make tofu so much that I asked my hub for a tofu press last holiday season. I always buy extra firm tofu. I also press it for at least 20-30 min. If you don’t have a tofu press. Wrap in paper towel and place between plates. I have marinated my tofu like any meat. But I find tossing diced tofu in cornstarch with my seasonings of choice and shallow pan fry outside of any veg. Then adding it to the dish to combine. You can even marinate and bake until super firm. But cornstarch gives it a nice crispy bite.

I drain my tofu and then cut it into cubes and toss it with a bunch of soy sauce and powdered garlic. Then I fry it on my griddle with some oil on each side until crispy. I also like to make a tofu scramble with it. Put some butter in a pan and crumble the tofu in there and add soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and any other seasonings you would like. Saute that for a bit until some of the moisture is cooked out and then add some nutritional yeast to it. You can eat this as is or add it to breakfast burritos as a replacement for scrambled eggs. Just make sure you taste the scramble as you go and add what you think it needs. Maybe more garlic powder, some seasoned salt, etc.

Pressing your tofu to get the extra water out ,then marinating it overnight gives it so much flavour ....if you want crispy tofu roll it in cornstarch before baking or air frying.

Drain your tofu, pat completely dry with paper towel to get water out. If your stir frying/ air frying we use potato or tapioca starch to lightly coat it. It also helps it gives a little char color. I recommend the firm / extra firm tofu

Check out the recipe from "it doesn't taste like chicken" for baked tofu bites. They are delicious and super easy/cheap. You can eat them as is like nuggets or put them over a salad

I fry my drained and pressed firm tofu cubes first in about 2 tsp of oil; when crispy add 2 tsp of soy sauce to the pan and continue frying until all the sauce is soaked up. These last a few days in the fridge and can be used in stir fries or braised dishes or even in sandwiches.

Flourishing Miranda uses a lot of tofu on her channel.. and she gives different ideas on how to season it to make it taste good. Corn meal will make it crispy.

I brought sweet Potatoes to Thanksgiving this year. The recipe used cornflakes on top which made a great topping with crunch! I think the cornflakes were mixed with sugar and butter prior to topping the potatoes. So good!

Personally I have acid reflux so the extra water content helps me a ton and I can make a nice salad with cucumbers and carrots that won’t bother my stomach ☺️ It’s nice and crisp and delicious too! It does have some vitamins in it but not as much as romaine, which is also delightful.
