Took this flight from BsAs to Santiago with a friend a few years ago. We got a good deal on the flight and were very impressed by the service. And flying over the Andes in the wintertime was hugely impressive. It had been raining and snowing the day before so the mountain range had been shrouded in clouds, Luckily it was clear when we made the trip. The snow packed Andes were a sight to behold from the air. Thanks for sharing. Brings back memories. From the BsAs terminal, seeing the AC flight arriving at the gate in BsAs, to the flight board (noting Johannesburg flight; they had it back then too), to the landscape around BsAs. Remember it all.
Awesome video! Most people only show the flight but you did above and beyond and showed the drive to the airport, the plane arriving and much, much more!
in 2017 i might go to chile, in 2014 I took Air Canada from London Heathrow to Toronto, Canada then went down to Santiago using the plane again. reallylove the air canada
I can understand why you loved this flight. It sounded like you were the only one in First Class! From how you described all the other features, it sounded like a fantastic flight. I've heard some horrible things about Air Canada, but I've also read and heard that if you fly an airline outside their domestic territory, you do get a better experience, because they want to impress their international guests. It certainly sounds like it. I wish your videos were longer, though, because it's all over far too soon! I've listened to other videos you've made, and I can tell you fly a lot. Keep 'em comming. Thanks.
I absolutely loved both destinations. Beautiful countries. I highly recommend a visit. I am working on video montages and should be posting those soon. If interested I have tour guide and hotel recommendations :)
SDMullis i really love the video when the aircanada 777 came to montreal i got to see it up close it is really cool the inside is really nice i loved it glad you had a good flight on the plane
WOW Fantastic video! I noticed the pilots shut down one of the engines most likely to save fuel. Do they refuel the aircraft in Santiago or do they straight to Toronto?
It is an amazing aircraft no doubt. However, in my opinion, there is nothing like a Boeing 747. It is beautiful plus I prefer four engines, especially when flying over large oceans.
I'm surprised Chile and Argentina allows a foreign carrier to pick up pax in one and drop them off in the other. Usually there's a no local traffic rule.
It is actually unusual for foreign carriers to have this ability but I guess sometimes all parties can come to an agreement and have reciprocal rights, etc. There is a fancy term for it, "fifth freedom", I believe.
actually no, they cant pick up pax from argentina to chile , the whole trip is this : pax going to argentina get out ,those going to chile stay in , those going to toronto go in with lay over in chile , and pax going to chile get out , and other get in those who go to toronto
I did not know they were even operating this route! Very cool :) The only negative aspect is that you shouldn't upload everyone of your awesome vids at one time! Now you probably haven't got any video material left ;)
mautu ioapo air canada b777.300er /buenos aires to sangtiago thonk you youtube videos in my loaptop compter thonk you goodday by now mautu ioapo thonk you 28.3.2015
You’d think as a courtesy to locals that AC would commence announcements in Spanish in this case, not English followed by French then finally Spanish dead last. Piss poor etiquette. (I’m a Canadian btw.)

Very cool video. Such an amazing view of the Andes around Santiago. A dream of mine is to visit both places.
Wow that was a smooth touchdown in Santiago, I only noticed when the spoilers went up
Excelente video!!!

Really nice view of this awesome looking 777! Liked a lot!!
Thank you !
excelente video, thank you !
Great video!
This flight is part of AC's YYZ-SCL-EZE service.
Great video - thanks
Nice video. Is there any food and drinks service on this flight?
Drinks, but no complementary food. The flight's only 1 1/2 hours long.
Gameflyer001 Wrong. Drink service + sliced fruits + a sandwich (usually turkey or chicken sandwich).
FANTASTIC!
you flew FIRST class on this flight?
What was the reason for flying AC and not LAN on this route?
Nice video and good weather. which is the duration of the trip?
Was it a very short flight from Buenos Aires to Santiago or you edited the video ?
listen to that engine sound during spool up to t/o power :-) woooooooow
The engines´sound is amazing.
Good Video :))
Thank you!

22:33 that shadow got me haha. an airplane with EXTREMELY long nose gear
What are your thoughts on the Boeing 777-300ER
It is an amazing aircraft no doubt. However, in my opinion, there is nothing like a Boeing 747. It is beautiful plus I prefer four engines, especially when flying over large oceans.
I did this journey on a 763...much nicer in the 2-3-2 layout and seated in the head row behind the FC bulkhead.
I'm guessing the flight is EZE-SCL and then on to a Canadian city. It just doesn't seem possible for a foreign carrier to operate a domestic route.
AC flies this route as part of its YYZ-SCL-EZE routing, so this route is already part of its flight plan.
Gameflyer001 So this must be the return leg then back to Canada?
Yeah.
Sorry! Im quite slow Lol
SDMULLIS, that the engine is GE90.
3:01 why there's an engine off?
If I'm not mistaken, they usually shut down an engine to save fuel as they taxi to the gate.
no food?
No drink or food? =O
is the 777-300er big?
not as big as my
Jared Allen yes
Maravilha!!!

AC has 5th freedom rights on this route, especially because they fly from YYZ-SCL-EZE.
actually no, they cant pick up pax from argentina to chile , the whole trip is this : pax going to argentina get out ,those going to chile stay in , those going to toronto go in with lay over in chile , and pax going to chile get out , and other get in those who go to toronto
@@liotaps5049 DONT LIE!!

Good point but I actually do have a few more videos from this trip to post. With my busy schedule I have to upload whenever possible ! Thanks !!
This route is part of their Toronto-Santiago-Buenos Aires flight.
at 4:28 What is LAN?
Air Canada used to do 5th freedom flights from London to India.. London to France.
and so on
Why pilots shut down left engine so early?
Some airlines encourage their pilots to taxi on one engine to save fuel.
amazing views! but no service in BC? Air Canada should improve!!
yes its 5th freedom
Next time if you wish to come to Argentina, Fly on Aerolíneas Argentinas New Airbus A330-200. And also try flyingh in Austral Lineas Aéreas
Argentina have various Fifth freedom air flights.
Was a meal served in Business Class?
nice :)
The big 777-300 makes A330s and 767s look small, I thought those TAM and LAN aircraft were A320s, then I realized they were A330s and 767s
Up grade
danielnyc20 not more. they keep flying with B763ER. B773ER just in the Summer and high season's.
ElAviador Austral que?
GE90!
The Holy Ghost is an evil ghost

So no food service on the trip? sux lol
hjjhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
