You know what bro that's funny that you just mentioned Frankie Beverly's name I just saw this particular message I just got through typing on this page about this group that he was in a year or two before he started maze it's called Raw Soul man check this out whenever you have a chance go on UA-cam and pull up raw Soul live at winterland 1975 they got a track that they made call I need you and it's about 13 to 14 minutes long but man they sound just like the early Earth wind and fire from around 73 to 72 man that group is funky and I mean extremely funky nothing like the maze sound but most of the guys in this band formed maze wow believe me you won't be disappointed trust me 🤘🥁🥁🎶🎵
They had plenty of songs, I can’t even choose. This was a very good video, too bad the songs were copyrighted, I would have loved to reminisce on their songs. Great job WBPTV!!! 💐💐💐💐
being from New Orleans and meeting George Porter (coolest MF EVER), they don't have not one bad song. I have most albums they have made, and some things that they have done with others... But honestly, these guys don't have a bad song... Sissy Strut is a song that everyone musician has to know to play in New Orleans. These guy are and were AMAZING!!! R.I.P. Arthur Neville!!!!

Sissy Strut my eternal favorite!
When are you going to do a profile on Chocolate Milk, another underrated New Orleans funk band?
Mr. Art Neville had a nice 1962 Ballad written by The Late Mr. Allen Toussaint, and before The Meters, called “All These Things.”
Chicken Strut
Sassy strut that's a funky ass instrumental track ! 🤘🥁🥁🎶🎵🎶🎵
from NOLA .pure funk.thanks for posting ⚜️
The epitome of Seventies Funk, thank you for honouring The Meters! Toussaint and Sehorn were hugely influential in Southern Soul music
Handclapping Song! The Meters are one of the most funkiest bands ever!
Cissy Strut is the only song I can identify with, keep them coming man
