We played Benfica, Barcelona & Bayern Munich on route to winning it the champions League. Since the structure of the Competition changed we've qualified for it more times than you have.
Even so nothing gives you greater satisfaction than actually seeing your team win trophies when you're alive. I doubt you've ever seen Liverpool win the league in your life time. I have the luxury in saying that I was able to witness my clubs most successful period where as you cannot.
