@@RJTheBikeGuy in that case, thanks bro, finally saved me from the super annoying and terrible scratching i’ve been putting up with for like a year every time i used wired headphones...as well as the eventual visit to a repair centre. much appreciated

oh my god, you're godsend. fixed my samsung galaxy a8 audio jack with q-tip only, didn't even use alcohol. thank you sooo much you saved me from a trip to the repair shop!
You my friend are awesome!!! Lol I bought for earbuds because I go through a lot. I plugged in the first earbud , started scratching, now I'm using the second earbud. I was going to throw it out as well but saw your video and fixed the problem instantly!! God bless brother, have a blessed week
This really worked great on my phone. The problem was where it wouldn't play audio in the earphones but it did play on the speaker. I used rubbing alcohol and it worked.
So I had apple headphones and I thought it was broken so I threw it out. I just buy new apple headphones for 35$ and it turns out it's my aux cord wtf.
Thanks you so much (I just used water and it worked) I spent ages saving up for a decent pair of headphone and when they started sounding scratchy I was so disappointed but this helped so much
my issue is it creates that static/scratch sound for everyone but myself, I can't hear it but everyone else can. I even bought a new controller today and it's still doing it, meaning it's definitely the headphones and not the device I'm plugging them into :(
The rubbing alcohol didn't work. However, I did purchase the electronic contact cleaner from Home Depot. I had to use the included straw to spray into the headphone jack and then used a bristled floss to clean it. I waited for the headphone jack to dry (
@@RJTheBikeGuy Oh it worked for me btw. It was really helpful! I found the video on this website under "Auxiliary Port Issues" www.headphonesty.com/2020/07/hear-static-in-headphones/
Thanks for the q-tip tip I watched one guy use a ballpoint pen and a cotton ball confused me and since you had an issue with alcohol I used my ArctiClean thermal paste removal Kit I think it was just as good what you used.
Just use a thin film of dielectric grease on the plug. When it makes contact on the inside of the jack, it will coat it. It will protect against oxidation.
With my new lg g4 I can't use any headphones because it's "staticky" and if I plug it in like 1mm less than when it would click, the audio is fine but only when I hold it and even the slightest movement will cause the audio to go bad, it's not the headphones, it's the phone, because they all work fine on other devices except this one
The worked on a Victor Reader Stream Classic. Tried alcohol first and it didn't last long as you said. Then I tried contact cleaner. Took me about an hour but finally removed the static. We'll see how long it lasts.

Over the past 3 months, I've had two pairs of headphones. Both have turned staticky, and impossible to use. I do new headphones, and then in less than a month, they turn staticky. At first, I thought it was a wire problem, but now my second pair has gone staticky now. I'm not sure if it s just a coincidence or I have a dirty headphone jack. If I clean my iPad Minis headphone jack with rubbing alcohol will it break my iPad? Please get back to me quickly.

Hey i need help my phone’s aux is buzzing and when i use the q tip or apply alcohol around it and did all the steps that was said in the vid, it still buzzes can u tell me how yours worked?
@@nutbuster4204 i tore a little bit of the cotton off the q-tip and twirled it around my device's earphone jack, to clean it out. it could possibly be your earphones that are causing the buzzing?
I think I pulled the wire too hard then now it sounds so trash that static noise was gone when you twitch the jack it's like it was already on lowest audio quality level so it can't go lower.
On a hand-me-down smart phone, I thought the plug hole was faulty, this was on a phone where the previous owner had never even plugged headphones into it. I just wasn't pushing the jack in hard enough at the end when it's nearly fully inserted - there's an extra little snap that feels like the last 1mm of plug and it needed pushing quite hard to get the jack in properly. I suppose it's just because it's never been used before. It's going to get used now 🙂
@Aru Iqbal I only used cotton buds/cotton swabs, and then remove some cotton of it so it would fit in the headphone jack. After that, I put it inside and twist it for like10 secs. I hope it helped you :) have a blessed and nice day.
