- Hey Everyone,
In this video I finally finish off The Curecanti National Recreation area, and headed west to Montrose Colorado. I ended up catching some snow coming over Hermits Rest, which made for and interesting downhill. I found a stealth camp at a church outside of Hotchkiss Colorado, it wasn't the greatest but the sun went down and needed to stop somewhere.
From Montrose Im following The Umcompagre River South up into The San Juan Mountain Range. The San Juans are why I came to Colorado this year, In search of Americas Most Dangerous Road. Stay Tuned for many more adventures. See you on the highway.
Best episode yet, You have a great attitude, dude.
Great, glad to hear. Its important to stay positive out there, seems like everything is working against you sometimes. But honestly, I love the beating and I expect it, I never have thoughts of giving up. Thanks for watching.
I made my Wife watch this with me on the Big TV and explained i need to do this too. Than I went to Wal-Mart on my bicycle and picked up some groceries.
Your videos are an inspiration. Keep enjoying this tour and thanks for sharing it with us.
That is awesome! Hell Yeah, man. Load that grocery getter up. If you need any tips for planning a trip, let me know..... and Yes, you need to do this too.

Glad you enjoyed it!
The long anticipated snow episode! Heck yeah! Amazing scenery again.
Hell of a great time, wicked hill bomb. The scenery gets better and better around every corner out there, The San Juans are really spectacular, its my favorite range in Colorado. Much more to come, if you don't believe me just ask my lag time.
Epic dude!
Didn’t I see you riding a thermal nuclear missile in Dr. Strangelove?
I’m glad you loved to tell the tale
Kubrick is one of my favorites. Dr. Strange Love and How I learned To Love The Bike.

That was freezing cold but must have been awesome going down that hill!
The route you choose to take will be breathtaking I bet. The million dollar highway.
The view from the Black Canyon was insane!
The Black Canyon is Amazing.
I loved that downhill.... for a while.
I went through that area a couple of years ago in a car with a friend. Ive been dying to ride through there ever since. Perhaps next year I'll find the time to make it happen.
Beautiful area, I hope you find the time, you won't regret it.
Awesome! 😎🔥👌
Thanks 🔥
I love the Delta CO area, believe it or not, they have a very good cycling scene there. I follow a facebook group called DAMBikers or Delta Area Mountain Bikers and have met up with a couple of them when I go to that area. Delta is also home to my favorite coffee shop in the state, Doghouse Espresso, I recommend the Mayan Mocha.
Awesome, Ill have to swing by The Doghouse my next time Thru.
Great video dude love it
Glad you enjoyed
"This is not the place I'd drink 6-7 beers." (15:56)
Words of wisdom.
Haha, watched it to the end, my man.
@@TravelingThru222 got to. Sometimes the best stuff is at the end 😉👍
i'm pretty sure i almost have the exact same setup as you. I love the trek 520. I just finished watertown, ny to Niagara Falls. Round trip it was 500 miles. My next trip will most likely be san Francisco to los angeles which is just shy of 500 miles. The ride all along the coast should be very beautiful. Keep riding.
Niagra Falls, nice place to end, I bet that was a great trip. I rode form San Francisco to L.A. a few year ago. The PCH and Route 1 are amazing, L.A. is pretty easy to navigate on the coast, lots of bike lanes, signs and bike paths. You will have a blast.
@@TravelingThru222 I just wanna say thanks for picking my comment to reply to thanks I appreciate it. Have you done bike packing? If so what do you think of trek 1120
And yes it was a fantastic trip. If you haven't you must ride the Erie canal trail. You must have heard of it
@@mathkriston44 I was actually talking about The Erie Canal Trail today. Albany yo Buffalo, I have researched it in the past and I will Absolutely be doing at some point in the future. Easy to follow?
@@TravelingThru222 there is a website for it called empire state trail and it goes from buffalo to Albany and Canada to new York city. The area between Syracuse and Rochester is stunning. So much greenery.
31:39 Great Video! Here's an algorithm boost brother.
