- Here we go into The Curecanti National Recreation Area. This is my second time Thru, headed in the opposite direction though. I don't remember it being so beautiful, glad I got another chance to ride Route 50. Pushing further west into The Rocky Mountains, starting to think about the town of Montrose, getting closer and closer to The San Juan Range. Stay Tuned everybody, many adventures to come. Catch you on the highway.
Colorado is so beautiful!!!! What a great experience, thanks for taking us along.
It really is! Thanks for watching, many more adventures to come.
Colorado Rocky Mountain High the landscape is overwhelming and Breathtakingly beautiful. I definitely see how you want to take your time. Don't shortchanged your self as you go further west lots to absorb along the way. Videos are uplifting keep them coming. Be safe outthere
Colorado is just amazing, always taking my time and especially slowing down in The Rockies.
Absolutely incredible! So beautiful
Thanks, Tim. I was really dragging my feet in Colorado. Cant wait to go back.
@@TravelingThru222 I bet. One thing I’ve always loved about being a photographer/videographer is when the trip is over I know I get to revisit those places again when I edit.
Finally something to watch on a rainy Sunday night in Boston! Enjoying your trip!
Whats up Boston? Glad your enjoying the videos.
Fishing Boston harbor for stripers right now! Suns out!
It was super hot when i went through by the bridges, but that detour from montrose to gunnison was some of the best road ive ever been on on a motorcycle. I can't believe im watching someone do it on a bicycle!!!!
Yes it was! That was a great ride. The views of The Black Canyon where stunning. Looking forward to going back. Thinking about getting a Ruckus.
Love your vids, keep them coming!
Thanks! Will do!
Yet again another great vlog well done mate
Thanks for watching.
The Gunnison/Crested Butte/Curecanti area was my favorite in Colorado. I caught massive Rainbow Trout in the Gunnison River while camping up in that area. This footage brought back fond memories. I live in Rhode Island and haven’t been out that way since 2006. Safe travels to you! Going over Monarch Pass must have been intense!
Very cool! Colorado is a great time. Great to finally get to Monarch, its very awesome up there.
Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
Thanks for watching!
I just love your videos and always looking forward to the next one!
Thanks, Keith. That means a lot. Trying to get better adjusted with the cameras and audio, I've made some upgrades, so hopefully better quality footage in the future. Thanks for watching.
Drone is unreal💯
Yep, more to come.
"No camping... unless you have a bike." I read that too
Sometimes you have to read between the lines, these rules apply for skateboarding as well. Thanks for watching.
so much of Colorado I have yet to explore. thanks for showing me some new places to check out next time im back there.
Theres so much out there. Every time I pass Thru Colorado I seem to just scratch the surface. Always leaving more for next time.
That was pretty awesome. Drone footage was nuts. Take care, Al
Thanks, you too! Drone is out of sight.
Very beautiful bro!
Thanks a lot!
You can be thankful you didn't have to deal with the rain we had in Pa. 6.65" in York PA. Would of been a bad time to be stealth camping, Keep on riding & safe travels.
Yeah, that sounds like a night of stealth camping in a Super 8. York? Ive been meaning to get to The York Heritage Rail Trail for years now. Stay dry.
Fucking cool man! Just fucking cool….
Like Clint Eastwood gliding through the western landscape.
Great vid Pale Rider
Thanks, Rick. Love it out west. Pale Rider is one of my favorites.
@@TravelingThru222 Because you’re pale, right?
Curecanti pretty sweet
Curecanti no joke
Aslam u alaikum and hi dear bro love respect from Sindh Pakistan 🙏❤️
Thanks for watching.
Great drone footage!
Colorado is top.
In which month was this filmed?
Hey, had a great time in The Curecanti, I rode there in May 2021.
Lived in co for a few years and everything in that state is EPIC I should have stayed but you really have to be in a solid tax bracket enjoy bruh
I feel you, I lived in Denver, Nederland, and Leadville for a bit, traveled all over the state and just love Colorado. I should have stayed as well, Im thinking about moving back out there. Might have to sleep under a bridge though.
@@TravelingThru222 Pueblo is popping, it's starting to feel the wallet strangled hold like everywhere else, but it's still affordable compared to the rest of the state. People sleep on Pueblo, but just this weekend for labor day weekend I camped at 11,000 feet and fished high mtn lakes, and offroaded all in Pueblo County/Custer County. Then came back down from 66/36 degrees to 88/58 degrees and biked our bike path along the Arkansas River. It offers affordability, and amenities (art, museums, movies, shops) without the traffic. If you want big city you can drive 37-45 minutes to Colorado Springs. You have skiing at Monarch in under two hours. We get all four seasons, have rivers, creeks, lakes. Denverites talk smack, but we have none of the traffic issues, parkings issues, less homeless issues(we do have some), and highway 50 offers everything I70 does. Plus the State Fair, and access to southern Colorado wilderness that hasn't been overtaken by people. For reference I've been from Alaska to the Florida Keys and the majority of in between. I find myself staying here ended up buying a house. As much as I thought I wanted to be in South Carolina/North Carolina the humidity, bugs, and lack of BLM land persuaded me to stay in Southern Colorado.
What a beautiful thing! Wood love to be tagging along:) was curious about the time of year? N how er you liking the Brooks?
I rode through The Curecanti in May 2021. I have been riding on that Brooks Saddle for 8 years. With 18,000 miles, countless trails, and 36 states on that saddle I don't think ill be changing anytime soon. Love The Brooks.
Nice!!
💚😐👍
Thanks for watching.
Hey Mano, I am traveling to do the Greenbriar River trail in WV on Sunday. Will I be ok with my gravel bike or should I take my MTN bike? I see you have done that section so I really value your opinion.
Yeah man, Gravel bike would be adequate. The trail is really well maintained, crushed gravel. Lots of campsites, some with shelters. Hope you have a great trip.
@@TravelingThru222 Thanks! That bike can make more miles more comfortably. Have safe travels. Really enjoying your clips!
Looks like zero road shoulders in places. Share the road" how is that working out?
Highway 50 had great shoulder, then I switched to route 96 in The Curecanti, thats where the shoulders seemed to disappear. However there was some road construction at the start of this route, and they had a stop light. So it was pretty quiet roads until the line of cars came through every 10 minutes or so. Narrow shoulder can make things hectic from time to time, but any day in Colorado is a great day.
Just wondering how many flats on your entire trip
Zero flats. I was running schwalbe marathons, I won’t tour on roads without them.
