- This chocolate salted caramel tart is absolutely amazing. A buttery almond crust, gooey salted caramel and bittersweet chocolate ganache, all garnished with salted crystals. Chocolaty, rich and buttery, a perfect treat for any occasion.
Ingredients:
Makes about 6-8 servings
Almond Chocolate Sweet Pastry
1 1/4 cups (160g) flour
1/4 cup (30g) ground almonds
1/4 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup (50g) sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 stick (110 g) cold unsalted butter, cut into small (1/2-inch) cubes
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1-2 tbsp ice water
Caramel
1 1/2 cups (300 g) sugar
1/2 cup (100g) water
1/2 cup (120 g) heavy cream
5 tbsp (70 g) unsalted butter
1 tsp salt
Chocolate Ganache
1/2 cup (120 g) heavy cream
4 oz (120g) bittersweet chocolate, chopped
Garnish
sea salt crystals
Directions
1. Prepare the sweet pastry. In a large bowl mix flour with ground almonds, cocoa powder, sugar and salt.
2. Incorporate butter to the flour mixture, using a pastry blender, a fork or a pastry processor, until crumbs are formed. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them in. Add water and incorporate into the dough. Wrap it with plastic, knead slowly to form a disc and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
3. On o floured surface or over the plastic wrap roll the dough to a circle with about 1 1/2 inches larger than your tart pan. Lift up the rolled dough and place it on a greased 9 inch tart pan. Remove the edges and refrigerate for 30 minutes before baking.
4. Prick the dough with a fork, line a parchment paper over the dough. Fill with dry beans, rice or pie weights.
5. Bake for 15 minutes in preheated 350 F (180C) oven. Remove the weights and the parchment paper. Return to oven for another 10 to 15 minutes. Allow to cool before removing from the tart pan.
6. Prepare the caramel. Place the sugar and water in a medium heavy bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat, and cook without stirring until sugar dissolves and gets a caramel color.
7. Remove the pan from the heat and add the cream. It will bubble a little bit.
8. Cook for about 1 or 2 minutes stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until smooth. Remove from heat and add butter and salt. Stir well until smooth.
9. Let the caramel cool slightly and pour over the chocolate crust. Refrigerate for about 4-5 hours.
10. Prepare the chocolate ganache. Heat the cream in a small saucepan. When the cream just begins to boil at the edges, remove from heat and pour over the chopped chocolate. Let sit one minute, then stir until smooth.
11. Pour the chocolate ganache over the caramel. Spread it evenly and refrigerate for another 2-3 hours before serving. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes and serve.

I'm so glad these cooking channels without talking are starting to take off!!
eeveelover416 is so relaxing with the music
eeveelover416 they have vegan versions on a channel called Peaceful Cuisine. His stuff is great and you will fall in love with the guy in the channel.
I get superstressed by the music for some reason :P
we can mute it as long as they write the ingredients on the screen, we can't do that if they talk only
Yeah but the music is hella annoying
I followed the recipe 100% and got 100% result as the video
Thanks a lot
That is one of the most beautiful desserts I have seen in my life.
I want to bathe in that caramel sauce.
TheDodgerReid haha:) sounds good
TheDodgerReid :'D :'D :'D
Kappelin have fun getting it off
Good luck with the hospital bills! (:
Suicide by caramel.
My whole mouth just filled up with saliva.

Rachel Green's reference? 😆
Finally made this tart yesterday, it turned out great! I never thought I would ever be able to make caramel at home, but it was so easy😧
really ? how did it turn out? was it salty ?
Daniya Kamal Yes, but it could definitely use some more salt - I just love the salty taste along with caramel😋
SC on scale one to ten how salty was it for a dessert?
Daniya Kamal It depends on how much salt you put. I added a little more salt than what it says in the recipe, and even that wasn't too salty. Just go try it out😊
Daniya Kamal Oh, I forgot the scale. I'd say 1 or 2. Since the amount of salt is so little, you don't get a salty taste inside all of your mouth the way you do when chewing salty food for instance. But you just taste a few tiny salt crystals here and there, around "your teeth" for instance, if that makes sense😄
I made this about a week ago for my girlfriend. I was feeling super lazy and bought an already made Oreo pie crust :) It worked well - I made it crispier by brushing it with egg whites and baking it before putting in the caramel. While the flavor was phenomenal, it was super dense and super rich. A very small thin slice with vanilla ice cream is much better than just eating it plain like a slice of pie. Thank you for this receipe, I enjoyed making it :)
@Aurore Aurore stfup 😂
That chocolate base makes everything amazing! Sandwiching caramel between two chocolates is the best idea ever.
Maya Larks Oh thank you Maya.. I agree with you.. that caramel between chocolate layers is totally divine.. one of the best discoveries I made lately:)
Home Cooking Adventure This is a little more complicated than I'm used to doing but I'm going to have to try this.
never watching ur videos at 3am again lmao
am watching at three too

thank you so much for the measurements in cups and grams and the written instructions some people dont bother. i really appreciate it
really delicious
I've made this tart once before and I swear it was one of the best thing I've ever baked in my life. I'll be making it again this weekend. Can't wait! Thks so much for this recipe 💙
Just wanted to thank you for inserting the grams. Sometimes it gets confusing when it comes to converting cups into grams😄
this video is everything! chocolate, soothing music and quality filming, makes me feel so happy :)
Ohh man. I'm drooling already and all's I've seen was the picture at the beginning. I love these flavors!!
I made it and, strangly enough, it looks exactly like yours! And tastes delicious, so thank you!
Love the editing and how simple the recipe is, +1 sub!
Is it bad that I want to lick the screen right now???
+Sarah Christophers no,not at all
Sarah Christophers 😀
no, it really looks good
Sarah Christopher
i want to lick the screen too it looks too tasty
This is definitely the most delicious-looking tart I have ever seen! The caramel is such a rich colour!
That looks absolutely delicious. I've been searching for a good recipe and most looked too complicated. I will definately use your recipe. Thankyou
omg , this looks so delicious .
This did somEthing to my body that I don't even think is appropriate enough to talk about but WHOA- that looks incredible. I don't even eat dairy or gluten but I'm determined to recreate this!
So, I just realised after years of baking as a european that you can't just convert cups to grams through math and that it depends on the food... logically! Because sugar takes up more volume. Omg this explains so much
I've rarely seen something that looks that delicious!
mmmmmmmmmm straight to my hips !!
Arlette Demol tell me about it 😩
I'm relieved to see someone who actually scoops out/shakes out everything from the containers. I get really bad compulsions when cooking shows don't pour/scoop/shake all the contents out coz I just think it's super wasteful to not use everything you prepared.
Effie Gabrielle Blakely yea I feel like going right into the screen and scooping out the bowl. But I guess they do it just don’t show it in the video .
@@SammysCakery I know right haha I'm from a 3rd world country, so wasting stuff is out of the question.
I know what I'll be making for dessert at the next family dinner. Thanks for posting this, looks incredible!
darchie1018 Good to hear that. Let me know how it turned out for you.
i'm totally in love with your recipes, i tried out some of them and they were just amazing , thaaanks a looot
Just made this yesterday and it turned out great :)
Erica Ross So glad to hear that:)
I've just started making tarts and I'm definitely trying this one, looks amazing. And... it doesn't look too difficult to make either, I suppose you just have to allow a lot of time for all the cooling off.
cheekysmiley Yes, you have to let it cool...but it allows you to do something else meanwhile.. go outside.. solve other issues... and then just finish the tart. It is quite easy, hope you will try it out.
I just tried the chocolate tarte yesterday for my boyfriends birthday... At was simple but so amazing! Thank you so much for the recipe!
Looks delicious :-)Thank you for this recipe!
my life won't be complete until i cook this...omg, it looks delicious *---------*

1 ovo
1-2 colhere(s) de chá de água gelada
Caramelo
1 e 1/2 xícara (300g) de açúcar
1/2 xícara (100g) água
1/2 xícara (120 g) de nata (vende no pote)
5 colheres de sopa (70 g) manteira sem sal
1 colher de chá de sal
Ganache
1/2 xícara (120g) de nata
120g de chocolate amargo, cortado
Enfeite
Sal Grosso
Instruções
1. Prepare a massa.
7. Remova a pena do fogo e adicione a nata. Vai ferver um pouco.
Retire do fogo e adicione a manteiga e o sal. Mexa bem.
Salpique sal grosso e sirva.
Trop José thank you:) appreciate
nvr found such difficult recipe but still made me eager to make it like this recipe !! tq !!!
I'm going to make it for our guests this weekend! So excited!!

That is probably one of the yummiest things I have ever seen.
I REALLY want this tart right now😭 but I have to settle with the salty caramel dark chocolate bar I bought yesterday for now.. Hoping to try it out soon though!
i made this today! and it was amazing!
+aximili113 so happy to hear that:)
Looks so delicious. I'm gonna try and make it for sure.
Thank you for uploading.
This looks delicious! Must give it a try
This is the most beautiful tart in the world. It truly belongs in a museum. Every time I scroll past it I have to click on it
I didn't read the directions exactly right and only baked my tart for 15 minutes and my caramel was a bit lighter. I used a candy thermometer. I am excited to try It out and will be sharing the results on my blog.
Christine Franks so .. how did it turned?
You are my biggest inspiration and I learn so much from you! Im so happy you share your flawless recipes with us!! You are wonderful :)
God bless those cocoa trees that continue to give us such delicious chocolates, God bless the desserts makers who makes living worth it.
That looks so good I wouldn’t complain if it pulled the fillings out of my teeth. 🤤
I've had this recipe saved for quite a while, I'm finally making it today. My bottom is in the fridge, waiting to be rolled. Hope it turns out well!
nope, turned into a pile of mush when i tried to roll it. :(
+pqgmama hmm.. try to add more flour.. I wonder why
I forgot the ground almonds, I guess that must be why? Anyhow, I ended up scrapping that and using a different recipe I've used before (so no mistakes) and have just added the caramel and am letting it hang out in the fridge. It's going to be a looooooong 4-5hours.
Didn't leave it to set near that long, but it turned out sooooo good. The kids love too.
It looks amazing :) i'll definitely try this recipe today!
this actually looks amazing. i want it.
Oh my god!!!
I probably shouldn't make this amazing dessert. Not because of the calorie content, or the time and effort is too much for me, no, that isn't why. It's really because, if I DID have this in front of me, I might maim, or even kill, anyone who attempted to take a piece, and I don't really want to go to jail. ;)
I'll join the fight with you... :p
+Sathis Babu Thank you!! lol! To arms!!! To arms!!!
saddly i dont think anyone would have enough time to even try if it was me, id have no control and end up eating it all at once
😂😂😂😂
Huh, lol))) The best comment!
this cake looks sooo good omg
that looks absolutely fantastic, can't wait to try it out
I eat a mostly vegan diet but BOY does this look incredible. I wonder if I can veganize it?
simplyshama Thank you , I am glad you like it, I think you can veganize it :) .. maybe you can combine some chocolate vegan cookie with coconut oil for the crust.. some vegan caramel on top made with almond butter and maple syrup, and vegan chocolate on top.... it might work good.
I was going to make this with an oreo biscuit base instead, because i have the ingredients. I think it would be just as nice
+gixer121121 let us know after you try it!!
THIS LOOKS SCRUMPTIOUS AND GORGEOUS!
@Shojikina Onna - are just some soy beans as I didn't have tart weights, but you can use any beans you have in house.
are the crushed almonds optional
+Home Cooking Adventure Sand?
+Joi Ragin yes
Can you translate the Arabic language amounts please
Hi there. I have little mini tart cases at my house, can I use those for the tart, or do I have to use a big tart pan.

This looks so mouth-watering, I must try it!
While waiting for the caramel to harden a bit before the bittersweet chocolate, I ate the left over caramel on the pot and now I can’t wait for mine to be completed tomorrow morning 😊 Our thanksgiving dessert. Thanks for the great recipe again!
That caramel looks a little thick...like it would be really chewy. Personally, I would probably use more chocolate and cut back on the caramel or try to make the caramel more creamy. Other that, it looks yummy!!
How to make the caramel creamy?
By adding a good amoutn of cream, butter, or other ingredients like that. My grandmother makes caramel and it's not anywhere near as thick or chewy looking like the caramel in this video.
Agree, I'd use more cream to make it creamier AND less transparent. You know, to get that mou look and texture to it.
it looks like this because it's cold .. once it's in your mouth it will return into it's smooth velvety state
A drop of whiskey gives it a nice flavour too 😉
If I don't use almonds will that affect the crust at all?
THAT LOOKS SO GOOD
Looks amazing, can't wait to try it!
Is it possible to substitute for the ground almonds? My partner is allergic to nuts, so in other recipes I've used either semolina or flour, depending on how smooth the end product needs to be.
3 year passed and still no one answered her
almonds arent needed, they just make the crust taste somewhat like a giant macaron. you can even substitute it for peanuts if you want or even oats.
what is the size of the baking tray you are using?
Today is the second time I made this recipe. So delicious, so worth the effort! Thank you!
Looks like heaven tbh
Is there anything I can substitute for almond meal?
Tara May you could try pumpkin seed meal
any chance of getting the whole recipe in grams?

Thank you for taking the time to share this video I am in my baking stage now where I am learning to make ganache and caramel Chef been happy with me so far you made this look so simple...
Very nice . I dnt use egg so what should i substitute for egg
+Pooja Shah some cold water
is heavy cream supposed to be chunky!!??
Meow Meow Kitty yes u get some that looks that way and it isn't spoiled.
Not where I live lol
Great recipe. Trying it this week end and will let you know.
Omg THIS TASTED HEAVENLY ❣️❣️ the combination of the salt and the caramel was sensational. It's definitely a great recipe to follow esp. for get-togethers 🔥👌
The caramel was too stiff in the end. Consider taking it out of the fridge and let it warm up to room temperature.
Shut up
was thinking this. i also think the caramel would be better if it was softer.
@@w029jrsm10x look at the end where she had problems cutting the pie. That's one of the tough parts (pun intended) of including caramel in a pie.
I agree
What kind of vanilla is used here? I've never seen it look like syrup.
TheBargainHound it is called pure vanilla extract, that has been made with vanilla beans and alcohol.
Home Cooking Adventure I do a lot of baking and I use pure vanilla extract all the time, but it's always in liquid form, not a syrup.
Home Cooking Adventure In your video, it appears to be much thicker, like molasses.
TheBargainHound yes.. because I've used some pure vanilla bean paste, that is what I had at the moment. It is not necessary to use a paste.. that's why I mentioned vanilla extract.
Home Cooking Adventure Ok, thank you for the clarification! This recipe looks incredible, can't wait to try it!
Looks like a Rolo chocolate in cake! Such a dream! I will definitely try it! Looks beautiful just like all your cake! Thank you for your masterpiece cake!
It looks so beautifully delicious! 😋 🍫 🍰
oh so easy to make this vegan! I can't wait to try!
tofu instead of chicken eggs.. almond milk instead of cow milk.
***** you can try a vegan .. for sure.. coconut cream instead of heavy cream...
How to avoid the caramel getting that hard in the end? Looks quite difficult to cut through..
+MsBabbi I am scouring the comment section for this very answer! That caramel looks so hard, I would be afraid to bite into it or attempt to chew it. If you find a solution, please let me know, and I'll do the same! :)
+MsBabbi it wouldn't be hard because of the cream and butter. it might be difficult to cut because of the crust

Yeah but the crust is not my favorite and I had to make the chocolate part 2 more times it's wasn't enough
Taylor Norbie I actually thought of that... Didn't seemed enough to cover all

leafsfan18 thank you
I have made this like 3 times now and got so many compliments for it. thank u so much.
I am so glad this turned good for you too:) I am sure everybody loved it
Why the paper with the dry beans ??
so the center doesnt over cook. IDK if those are beans or baking beads.
it's a method called "blind-baking": when you fully bake a crust without the filling. She put beans inside to weight the crust down, keeping the crust flat and ensuring that the crust will not puff up. 😊
+Andrew thanks:)
+Diana Chu ahh okay thank U:)
