SMT IMAGINE New Moon is a fan project that aims to bring back the original MMO with a breath of fresh air as new skills, items, and content will be added to take the original vanilla experience and expand on it. This project is by no means officially affiliated with Atlus and is by all means, a project for the fans, by fans.
For anyone not sure, the game is already live! It has been for a few months now!

It was unfortunate how Atlus's weak threats made ReImagine want to shut down. This is a light at the end of the tunnel, I'm glad someones stepping up to the plate to bring back the game to the community and step up to Atlus.
Yup yup, big ups to the team that brought it back. There’s a few other servers that stuck around after re went down but there’s nothing quite like this experience again
@@dadouka2491 What else is available? I saw a Russian one but I dont think the translations were done too well lol. Having a mix of JP/RU/EN is tough.
@@teronega1337 I can’t vouch too much for the other servers since I personally havent played them, the Russian server currently has more custom content but new moon is also working on their own as well as having reworked and new classes added. Its really up to your preference

Someone should really make an extra grungy SMT inspired game with the kind of soundtrack used in this trailer. Never got to experience Imagine when it originally released, so I'll have to give New Moon a try.
So an SMT game with a soundtrack inspired by 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim? I’d be down for that. The track in this video samples “Isoleucine” from the game.
@@IronBlaze77 Didn't know that, thanks for directing me to a great soundtrack! I was thinking that this glitchy, twitchy breakbeat remix would fit an SMT game's horror and tech-focused themes, particularly for regular humans made into devil summoners using the Demon Summoning Program.

I feel like the twitchy, fast-paced breakbeat remix used in this trailer fits the horror aspects of SMT's setting while still having some upbeat energy, as one might have when being able to summon demons to fight said horrors back
@@sidewinder2716 You’re very welcome! Aegis Rim has an absolutely phenomenal soundtrack that deserves more recognition. An SMT game with more of a drum and bass, breakbeat and breakcore style would make for such a great mainline game. As you said, it’d honestly fit the series’ themes and aesthetic. Juxtaposing the music we’ve heard in the series’ past with it would bring with it an otherworldly vibe, kind of like the contrast between Hyrule and the Twilight realm in _Twilight Princess._

Man I remember playing this lol. While I never did get too far because dungeons felt a bit too much and the whole gameplay is similar to Mabinogi but it had its unique things too. I did spend a bit of money to buy some of the gear but never got far. maybe I can play a bit of this!

Another new server? Hell yeah! I hope this one's a better experience than the last 2 servers I tried. REimagine went and died, and then I had an issue with some of the guys on New Order and quit (also that server is bleeding players nonstop.) Fourth time's the charm?

I was taking awhile to figure out what the music reminded me of..it's just a really sped up version of (ISOLEUCINE) from the OST of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. the part at 1:00 in this video you can hear in the original song at 2:23 haha.

I never played the OG Imagine.
But are the controls and UI easy to navigate in this fan project? Is there any types of new control schemes or controller support? I get that is probably asking a lot due to. "It is already an older game."
But genuine curiosity due to accessibility.
Its about the same as the old game. Since youve never played it I say it takes a bit of getting used to since the UI can be a bit wonky but the controls are quite easy. No controller support unless you map it out yourself though

I looked up the controls, I feel like I can potentially map things in a way that work for me. If I am understanding it right, like standard SMT, even Demon has 8 skills. So I can just make a macro for me that has their skills up and use the face buttons to use those skills.
How does the Player character operate exactly? Do they themselves have magic, or they just melee or ranged like Classic SMT 1 and 2?
I’ve always wanted to try this game, but I hadn’t heard of SMT until after this game shut down.
Also, do you guys intend on adding any original content to it? Assuming it’s the kind of MMO that needs additional content.
Yes, there are plans to add custom content with the first being very soon as a former boss is being brought back as a demon partner

No, this is a completely new server and while I understand that feeling of not wanting to start all over, theres plenty of folks in game that can help you settle in and theres also a lot more classes/expertises available to get you going

How is the translation looking? I remember reimagine being playable but having lots of text unfortunately untranslated which made getting into the game much more difficult for casual players.
Theres a team dedicated to translating the game currently
Majority of the game and major systems are translated

Some parts will not have been translated yet. Its being worked on but a good 80% of the game is full english
Is this a completely different game, or is it an expansion pack for SMT: Imagine? If it is an expansion, I wasn't even aware that game was still online.
Consider it moreso an expansion. Its the vanilla game with tweaks and balances and a few new classes along with custom content planned

The project’s name is new moon. The actual game is Imagine. We actually do this to AVOID copyright infringement. Giving full credit to the original game creators. Also as mentioned in other comments, Atlus is aware of this server and have an agreement that, long story short, as long as the server does not profit in anyway we’re fine. There’s a few other restrictions but so far we’re 3 months in no problems
