Good advice, thanks. Just got a Dyson cordless & while it was pricey, NO MORE HAIR caught in the beater bar brush. It is quite pleasing the amount of time I am saving EVERY WEEK.
So true about the “dread factor” when I keep delaying a certain task . If I would just do it and get it over with, it often takes less time and effort than I feared!
I’m a perfectionist too and it caused me to burnout and now I’m having trying to get even a D+ at times
I have the Shark Stratos upright DuoClean and it does have a self-cleaning brush roll - it works! It's also the best vacuum I have ever used on hard floors. My other favorite part of this vacuum is, it has a motorized attachment that is absolutely perfect for cleaning stairs.
Yep, hair does not get wrapped up in my Dyson V15, love it! It also has the laser that you can see everything, so if you are a perfectionist not wanting to vacuum the whole house and just get a C, then turn off the laser. 😆
It’s funny you mentioned cleaning the right or wrong way. I was taught to sweep or vacuum before dusting. It took me years to figure out that I was doing it wrong.

I know cordless hoovers are really popular but I can’t afford a new hoover, so have a Henry instead. I got him for free & I love his smiley face. I also have a carpet sweeper, or push & pull as I call it, & use it every day in my lounge etc.
I know natural products, like bicarbonate of soda, are supposed to be good but I want something I already know when I’m cleaning.
I usually use Flash & Mr Sheen/Pledge. (I’m in the UK)
