Daniel’s never met an actual selfless person and it shows. *edit: there’s nothing wrong with living with your mum if you’re saving money for the future and have a plan. I’m American and many these days live with their parents due to increases in COL
There's nothing wrong with living with family, I'm sure they're so happy to see you again after your long trips overseas. And it makes perfect sense. I think it's great. Families should stay together. Thanks for all the videos which are always interesting. Enjoy your time back in England.
Don't take it personally Daniel, no matter how successful you are, or how much you have dedicated yourself to a skill, there will always be people who want to put you down. Skill or no skill, success or no success, the same type of person will try to degrade you to make themselves feel better, the problem is with them. Be a good person , that's all that matters.
“I need to be very financially responsible” = live off Mom (who may have her own financial burdens). How about going back, getting a degree, get a good paying job, still live with Mom and share in the financial burdens with her (that would be financial responsibility).
On this topic Daniel I agree with you. Its a American thing and some British too. But it's normal to live with your parents in any other culture especially Asian until any age. As long a s you contribute what you can. All those that think its not normal are the losers and most of the time they are jealous.
You have a drivers license. You could make videos while on the move doing Amazon deliveries. Not great, but it’s something and you can do your own times of work ??
I agree with you Daniel. If you had a mortgage you wouldn't be able to long term travel, especially as a single person as the UK is extremely expensive. Having a mortgage also locks you down to one location. This video reminds me of your old ones. More like this please 😊
I hope this doesnt offend Daniel: but he makes me so happy because i sometimes feel like my own life is a mess...but then i come to his Channel and see that another guy my age is struggling with the same stuff of not knowing what to do with my life as a 35-yr-old single male! I think Daniel's purpose in life is to make other people appreciate how good we actually have it compared to him 😊
The US is a pretty large country full of different people, cuture and belief system's. As far as our government, no comment. Not all work places allow overtime. Pay compensation does not equal to price inflation. A lot of people here are struggling financially. All I can say is I'm greatful for my mom.
@10:32 as an Indian i can confirm that. It is considered normal here. Infact if someone is living away from their parents then people think there's something wrong within the family. Or people look down upon the adults who don't live with their parents and the thinking behind this is that like the parents took care of u till u got on ur feet now it's ur responsibiliy to look after them when they are old and weak. Here people don't just drop their parents at an old age home or something. This is the reason why Indian community thrives wherever they go in the world coz if u see economically also it's a pretty good idea. There's a reason why Indian-Americans are the highest income group in America. There average income exceed many times than even the white people. But these capitalists promote individuals to live away from their parents coz in this way u can consume more compared to living with the family. U will have to get ur own fridge, washing machine, microwave and other kitchen equipments etc. That's why the people of west are programmed in that way that look down upon people living with their parents. It's not like they live off of their parents money. They also earn a lot and still live with their parents just to take care of them. In India Family is considered everything.
You don't need to be passionate about what you do for a living to be passionate about what you do for a living. The way you view things you aren't interested in reminds me of a teenager. It's like this every time I check back in of this channel. I don't know what I'm really expecting though.
Don't let them trigger you. There's nothing wrong with living with your mum. I went through the whole alpha male.needing my own place thing, then I realised that all was doing was paying off someone else's mortgage. I'm moving back with the parents.next week.and gonna buy their house for them 😂 I find that the people that have the biggest issue with this is the people that are jealous. They don't have that option, parents kicked them out at 18 and they were on their own, probably because they were a prick to begin with. Definitely American, we don't call it carpentry here
A lot of people also move out for opportunities though. A year or two ago, I actually would have agreed with everything you said, but I'm from a part of the UK which is pretty dead if you're not a student and I'm just so sick of seeing the same people with their small town mindset. Yes rent in the big city fucking sucks but I've been able to explore things and meet people I never would have, start dating, expanding my network etc. So I think it's simply pros and cons. Had I chosen to be a doctor or engineer, I would have probably been good to stay at home and then just keep on living there, but for a lot of us we want to see other parts of the world and different ways of life. I'm really grateful to my parents for never kicking me out, and in fact even now they're more than happy for me to live with them. We're not all that privileged, so I think for people with parents as a safety net it might actually make more sense to get out there and do 'exciting' things, like perhaps long-term travelling, working abroad or living in a large city.
I stumbled across your Elden Ring review before this and to sum it up, you said "I died a lot not because I'm bad, but because the game is bad. So I quit. 4.2/10, don't buy." Giving up before even trying seems to be a theme in your life. You missed out on one of the best games of all time and now youre missing out on a life of your own.
Honestly, you don’t need to explain yourself to anyone on how you’re living you’re life. They were looking for this reaction and you gave them that satisfaction. Who cares about what people think or their comments. F-em! Lol Keep living you’re own life!
I agree with you except when you say "if you disagree and want to prove me wrong send me a donation. I gain money, you gain nothing". If a person does that they will do it because they want to feel good by proving you wrong. So they totally gain something from it!
@ronnychristenjoyer6778 When you help other people, it activates the reward center in your brain and releases serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins, which is why many people often feel better after volunteering. From this perspective it ain't exactly selfless. Unless people feel nothing or even bad after volunteering, then it can be considered a selfless act.
@@AL-ve3ym I'd argue that your inner motivation makes the difference here. Helping others in need does make you happier, that's true. But if you help for the sake of helping, then the happy chemicals are just a nice by product, not your motivation. If your motivation is happy chemicals, I don't think people think about volunteer work, they'd rather just drink or eat or have sex when that is their motivation. A selfish form of volunteering may be personal glory seeking, where you wanna be seen by others and be considered a good person, which would also be a self driven, pseudo selfless action. But genuine volunteering for the sake of spending part of your time and resources for the benefit of others that need it does exist. Wanting to do the right thing to your own disadvantage exists. I think what really motivates you internally decides whether an outward action is secretly self driven or actually selfless, not the chemicals that may be released in that moment or afterwards, because again, there are far more potent ways to get those happy chemicals if that's your motivation.
@ronnychristenjoyer6778 "If your motivation is happy chemicals, I don't think people think about volunteer work, they'd rather just drink or eat or have sex when that is their motivation." "A selfish form of volunteering may be personal glory seeking, where you wanna be seen by others and be considered a good person, which would also be a self-driven, pseudo selfless action" Not forgetting wanting to be considered a good person on a personal and private basis is also a self driven, pseudo selfless act. Although not seen by others, this is still seeking for some form of emotional goodness in return. It may not be intentional, but it doesn't eliminate the fact that somewhere it lies in your unconsciousness of wanting to gain something out of the act. Back to your first paragraph that I highlighted here, the point I'm trying to make is that you can have happy chemicals as your main motivation AND still think about volunteering instead of sex/food. They are not mutually exclusive. Because majority are still seeking for some form of "I'm so holy and kind" spiritual happy chemicals in return from volunteering acts, that of which you cannot achieve with sex or food. Therefore it is not a 100% selfless deed. "But genuine volunteering for the sake of spending part of your time and resources for the benefit of others does exist. Wanting to do the right thing to your disadvantage does exists" Perhaps it does exist, but out of 7.7 billion people in the world the statistics and percentages are so low it might as well be close to non-existent and immaterial. Just look at the amount of money/subscribers going into the porn industry as compared to charitable organisations. It's laughable.
0:24 Why do people think it's normal to brag about their achievements without anyone even asking them in the first place? Inferiority complex. Shaming and belittling others.
National Service could have changed your life and given you a direction and skills. They are also more tolerant nowadays of LGBTQ people so you would not get bullied.
Lack of national service (NS) has nothing to do with Daniel's issues. The UK military should only be for people who really want to join it as the UK has lots of overseas territories to defend so it does not need people who are just doing service because they are forced into it and their heart isn't in it. The current UK* conservative government is only bringing up NS as a way to get votes from the pension-aged people; basically pure politicking; nothing else. Not every young person is like Daniel. Daniel as far as I understand had both of his parents before his dad passed away and I believe he worked alongside his dad at his job so how much more "direction" does he need; and his sister is a software developer so obviously she has her stuff sorted. There are young people that are goal-orientated and have skills and young people who are not; simple as that and re-instituting a redundant national service system will not change that.

Danny Boy, don't take Big Wonka too seriously. He obviously has some survivorship bias, as many of millenials your age are struggling.
Stumbled upon this channel......three vids in and I feel depressed. Moving on....
Why is he unintentionally hilarious. I read the title and and thumbnail and couldn't stop laughing. Gotta love Daniel.
Video went off the rails near the end, with Daniel attacking the US military (?) and saying that US elections aren't free and fair.
Like you said, life is short. So stay in your lane and ignore the haters. Have a wonderful time with your family! 😊
“I need to be very financially responsible” = live off Mom (who may have her own financial burdens). How about going back, getting a degree, get a good paying job, still live with Mom and share in the financial burdens with her (that would be financial responsibility).
If everyone on UA-cam gave me $1 I’d be a millionaire.
@@HidingInMyRoom1989 that's a running away from responsibility mentality. No wonder u hate Elden ring and Formsoftware games 😂😂😂😂😂 typical L s 😂😂😂😂
On this topic Daniel I agree with you. Its a American thing and some British too. But it's normal to live with your parents in any other culture especially Asian until any age. As long a s you contribute what you can. All those that think its not normal are the losers and most of the time they are jealous.
Daniel lightly reads the USA.
You have a drivers license. You could make videos while on the move doing Amazon deliveries. Not great, but it’s something and you can do your own times of work ??
Does he actually have a licence ? They're kinda hard to get in the UK, or at least more effort than I think Daniel would go through
@@jfluffydog2110 I think if he actually had one. We would have seen it happen by now
Man life is hellish since 2020 I understand your pain. 😢😢
Being a covert narrcissist and crying woe is me isn't going to get you anywhere....
I think Daniel's purpose in life is to make other people appreciate how good we actually have it compared to him 😊
Daniel, where have you been (on my YT recommends) all this time 🤭 bruh, I love the sense of humor ❤
The US is a pretty large country full of different people, cuture and belief system's. As far as our government, no comment. Not all work places allow overtime. Pay compensation does not equal to price inflation. A lot of people here are struggling financially. All I can say is I'm greatful for my mom.
You ate Danny boy 😂😂 I’m from Yemen and when you mentioned the ragtag i fell to the floor 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for that epic rant Daniel. I knew you had it in you.
These comedy videos have real legs. Like hilariousness abound. You are saving a ton of blowfish bro.... HaaaaaSooooo
Have a nice day Daniel!😊😉
You'll save a lot of money doing so, my dude. Speaking of experience #fellowNEET 😅
How has this guy learned nothing at 35?!
Sounds good the foods you are cooking!😋
So is it over with your Thai gf?
No
Buy a few tickets of EuroMillions every now and then. Nothing too crazy. Winning the lottery would be the ultimate revenge against haters.
The americaa talk is actually very well-said n very real good job Danial
I agree with Daniel about what he said about us Americans. So many of them would not be in debt if they stayed at home and save.
5 years later nothing changed amazing
my life is great. i hoope nothing changes for another 5 years
@@HidingInMyRoom1989 incredible
He is really good at debating. Isn't he?
it's not debating because there's no there to give the counter point to point out all the flaws in his logic. Ranting IS what it is.
People who tell other people how to live their lives don't understand that not all of us have had it so easy.
It happens dude, just use this opportunity to help your mom out around the house and take a bit of care for her.
You don't need to be passionate about what you do for a living to be passionate about what you do for a living. The way you view things you aren't interested in reminds me of a teenager. It's like this every time I check back in of this channel. I don't know what I'm really expecting though.
Great video Daniel! Thank you from a guy in the USA. And nice knife!
Don't let them trigger you. There's nothing wrong with living with your mum. I went through the whole alpha male.needing my own place thing, then I realised that all was doing was paying off someone else's mortgage. I'm moving back with the parents.next week.and gonna buy their house for them 😂
I find that the people that have the biggest issue with this is the people that are jealous.
Build your culture with friends who share your same values.
Honestly, you don’t need to explain yourself to anyone on how you’re living you’re life. They were looking for this reaction and you gave them that satisfaction. Who cares about what people think or their comments. F-em! Lol Keep living you’re own life!
Daniel you went off bro!! 😂
excuses excuses excuses
I live in the USA and you are so right about USA losing every war since world war 2. 😂
You're real af for dissing america 🤣 unexpectedly based
People who talk sht about guys who live with their parents are just seething because they are rent slaves.
I agree with you except when you say "if you disagree and want to prove me wrong send me a donation. I gain money, you gain nothing". If a person does that they will do it because they want to feel good by proving you wrong. So they totally gain something from it!
Thought he was early twenties
Saying there are no selfless deeds is such a sociopathic thing to say.
give me one example of a selfless deed then
@@HidingInMyRoom1989 giving a homeless person food. You lose money just so a stranger can eat. That's pretty selfless.
@ronnychristenjoyer6778 "If your motivation is happy chemicals, I don't think people think about volunteer work, they'd rather just drink or eat or have sex when that is their motivation."
"A selfish form of volunteering may be personal glory seeking, where you wanna be seen by others and be considered a good person, which would also be a self-driven, pseudo selfless action"
Not forgetting wanting to be considered a good person on a personal and private basis is also a self driven, pseudo selfless act.
Wanting to do the right thing to your disadvantage does exists"
Perhaps it does exist, but out of 7.7 billion people in the world the statistics and percentages are so low it might as well be close to non-existent and immaterial.
Just look at the amount of money/subscribers going into the porn industry as compared to charitable organisations. It's laughable.
0:24 Why do people think it's normal to brag about their achievements without anyone even asking them in the first place? Inferiority complex. Shaming and belittling others.
I am dedicated to reimburse my mom. But first lets cut these veggies with damascus steel and drink rice wine. Peak HIMR content
I thought your father died? I watched you Livestream from the funeral.
Back in the UK for a few days and he's already having a Friends rewatch.
Are you at least paying rent to your mum?
I will live in my family home for the rest of my life why should I rent and pay for somebody else's mortgage also getting mortgage myself and managing is just as tiring as working a full time job
i quite enjoyed this video and agree with almost everything you said, execpt that part about the tax situation not being your fault. That's definitely on you, so take accountability. Otherwise, great video. Make more like this.
