I loveeeee how you two are freestyling the heck out of eating that nasi kerabu because that is exactly how one eats nasi kerabu! 😂 Also, the one trouble I face every time I'm buying nasi kerabu, I just don't know which 'lauk' to choose so, I end up buying more than 1 type of lauk, usually ayam and daging bakar. I'm sooo happy you guys got to enjoy nasi kerabu just like how we Malaysians do! ✨💯
You guys really tried the authentic Nasi Kerabu from Kelantan for your first time 😂 You will be haunted by the taste every single time you taste Nasi Kerabu from other states. They’re good but they could never rival Kelantanese version 🤤
Jiimmy really an expert in eating, he knows what to mix with to bring out the best taste with the dish. Btw I just eaten Nasi Kerabu for the first time 3 weeks ago, after I finish the meal I don't really like it but passable coz I'm not used to the taste, it taste herbal like you guys said and rate it 6/10, but the next day after my tastebuds acquired and adapt to the taste I change my ratings to 8/10, so delicious and will eat again. Sometimes you new to the flavour and not sure how to feel but it will take some time for you to adjust to the taste.
Same with me when trying sushi for the first time many years ago. After the 4th time I got hooked to it. Now, I have to eat sushi at least once a month. I could it eat every weekend but because it is quite expensive, I linit myself to eat it once or twice in a month.
That’s exactly how I felt, I used to dislike Nasi Kerabu because there is so much “greens”, then one day I had to eat it because I don’t have much money (during uni days) and my roommate bought an extra pack of Nasi Kerabu. The first time I tasted it, I felt a bit disgusted but after a few hours the lingering zestiness of the sambal and the saltiness of the coconut shreds coupled with the herba really had me going crazy over it.
Nasi kerabu ni pembuatannya susah, semua boleh masak atau jual tapi tak semua yg betul2 power 'air tangannya' even dekat Kelantan sendiri payah nk cari nasi kerabu yg betul2 sedap...tp kalau dah jumpa yg sedap memang ketagih 🤣
So happy to see you guys eat almost a full set of nasi kerabu. You are missing pickled garlic. It's my favourite rather than solok lada. Btw solok lada aren't pickled pepper, but more of a steamed pepper with coconut plus fish plus santan. Nasi kerabu without side dishes relatively cheap, great and healthy for uni students. The more you add side dishes, the more expensive it can be.

I love nasi kerabu. I will order in some of the local restaurants in KL if the nasi kerabu is available in the menu. I love the combination taste of the rice. 😍😍😋😋😋😋😍 Malaysia is food heaven. Variety.
Glad to see that you enjoy nasi kerabu, it's one of the must-eat no matter where you are. If you are having difficulty adding more dishes after your order, you can always say 'nak tambah ini satu' and point at the food item that you want. That way they will help to add one portion of whatever you are pointing at 🙂
Naisu iChang, you just discover state of Malaysia is Kelantan. Kelantan is unique food you have never try yet. I'm proud both of you. Next time explore all state of Malaysia you never discover yet like Sabah and Sarawak because many more foods you don't know yet. That word 'Tumis' you say earlier means a dish of vegetables cooked in fat. I hope both of you can enjoy this country (Malaysia) like you did before in your own country.

To me, Nasi Kerabu is by far the healthiest malay dish I've ever tasted. The taste is just different 🤤🤤🤤 Keep it up!
I ove the way u make reaction about the food u eat..first reaction while eating..and second reaction after all food finish..and describe it all with passion.. 👍👍
Now i know why God made us human with different cultures and backgrounds. It is so that we can enjoy these differences, best example would be food.. Seeing both of you enjoying nasi kerabu for the first time, reminds me of trying sashimi for the first time too. It's that feeling of trying some new food that is sooooo foreign to our original culture, i think that's the feeling that we all felt 😆.
It's not pickled. The pepper was cut in half and filled in with the fish meat, shredded coconut and some black pepper. Then it will be steamed until cooked. Next time, try the kuih topi. ( a kuih shaped like a hat )
Me as Kelantanese love Nasi Kerabu with ikan kembung goreng + solok lada + extra kerabu + telor masin sebiji + bawang jeruk + keropok keping. If add sambal lada, must add a bit lime in it, so that it taste spicy and sour a bit. Sambal lada Nasi Kerabu is not same as sambal belacan. Beside that, budu make Nasi Kerabu taste authentic, but need to know how to prepare it not only pouring it on Nasi Kerabu. And beware of adding gravy, dont add too much gravy because how we eat nasi kerabu not same as how we eat nasi kandar. Little gravy is ok, excessive gravy make nasi kerabu not taste good anymore.
U cleaver..use picture Nasi Kerabu,,.i love it ....Nasi Kukus ayam rempah 👍😋😋😋😋😍😍😍😍i chang telur masin u must eat litte litte 😂😂😂😂..i look ichang more withstand spicy 😂...u should try horlik ais or Neslo ais mmm 😋😋😋
i see more kuehs in Kelantan than any other states I've been to. Whenever we went back to Kelantan, my dad always brought home a lot of them. I notice that they have more of the unique ones rather than the standard kuehs you can find nationwide.
I have tasted almost all Malay foods and dishes.. all of them are unique with its own taste based on province and location. but my favourite always to these five states Terengganu, Kelantan, Penang, Pahang and Melaka. Their rice and the side dishes are marvellous.
You miss one more condiment in Nasi Kerabu : pickled garlic. First step to eat Nasi Kerabu is MIX EVERYTHING then chomp! Chomp! Eat them. There are two type Nasi Kerabu at Kelantan: Nasi Kerabu tumis and Nasi Kerabu without tumis. be sure to try each if them iChang and Jimmy. I personally love both. Glad to see you guys enjoy Nasi Kerabu like me. I love Nasi Kerabu too.
Kerabu is actually a mix/salad of herbs and vegetable. Nasi Kerabu is rice + herbs and vegetables. The meat, fish, chicken are side dishes to complement the main dish. You will find different other types of Kerabu dishes without the rice. Most of other Kerabu dishes will mix with coconut. For example long beans (kacang panjang) + coconut + herbs, or kacang botol + coconut + herbs, or many other types with different mixes.

As a Kelantanese, I am happy that you've tried our favourite Nasi Kerabu (sort of mixed rice) with all the necessary dishes - fish, kambing (grilled goat meat), ayam (chicken), tumis (sort of a sauce), solok lada, the mixed ulam (mixed vegetable/salad), the fish cracker (papadom like) is actually known as "keropok" and most importantly "budu" (fish sauce). Unfortunately you have not tried "garlic pickles" (bawang putih jeruk) which you should next time. (I'm staying in KL actually - despite there are lots of Kelantan food here - nothing can beat the original. So whenever I return to Kelantan, I would be eating like you do - enjoying them so much) What I love about all your videos especially your experience in Kota Bharu, Kelantan was that you both appreciate food like art. Best of all, being thankful for the nice food. (There is another version of Nasi Kerabu in the North known as Nasi Ulam which is equivalently delicious. If you happen to be in Kedah, Langkawi or even Perlis, find Nasi Ulam.) There are so many more delicacies (food) and other kinds of food in Kelantan you haven't tried yet. But having Nasi Kerabu is like having Nasi Lemak. There is a pair to Nasi Kerabu - we call it Nasi Belauk (or nasi Berlauk) which originally consist of a kind of curry known as gulai (mostly with ikan tongkol - a kind of tuna) but totally different taste from curry with the sambal (a little hot) etc. Maybe you should try Nasi Berlauk as well. On the other hand, that being said, there have been some negative and unruly comments about Kelantan food from mostly tourist from the west which I dislike very much. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and hope you will return to Kelantan again. Whoever this Ajimo is, you've made me prouder of my homeland.
One of the most authentic herbs for nasi kerabu is only found in Kelantan. If you buy nasi kerabu outside of Kelantan, you can't find the perfect combination of herbs as you find in Kelantan's Nasi Kerabu. And they normally don't charge you if you want an extra load of herbs.
Wow you guys can understand malay pretty well now. Letak asing, solok lada, makan dulu, nak duk mana... haha hebat hebat. Love you guys. 🥰🥰🥰 sedapnya laparrr my fav tu nasi kerabu all in kambingayamikansolokdaging.
If u guys like nasi kerabu with lots of shredded veg n herbs, then u guys must try nasi ulam n ayam percik, d rice has more veg n herbs, but it doesn't has d 'budu', a condiment that kelantanese love so much. Instead, nasi ulam will have d coconut cream sauce as d condiment. By d way, if u go to d main market in kota baru, u will find satay being sold in d morning.
Fun fact: Nasi Kerabu is one of the healthiest dish in Malaysia. Recommended for anyone who want to diet by replacing Nasi Lemak with Nasi Kerabu for breakfast
We Kelantanese normally eat it lightly and the appreciation of the food deliciousness lingers for several weeks, maybe months. Never eat in combo like jimmy 🤭

the fish cracker is called keropok (or more accurately keropok keping, because there is another type of keropok which is keropok lekor). keropok keping and keropok lekor originate from terengganu and is very famous in pantai timur states (kelantan, terengganu, pahang) . i hope ichang and jimmy can try keropok lekor (fried and boiled version) soon the fried fish itself we call 'ikan celup tepung' or ICT for short (flour coated fish). also a famous local delicacy in pantai timur especially areas by the beach. if you go to any ICT restaurant they have a lot of other deep fried seafood other than just fish (prawns, squids, etc) . the types of fish used for ikan celup tepung are *usually* ikan kembung (mackerel) and ikan selayang (sardine)

True!
So far that I know...Nasi Kerabu original can only be found in Kelantan, Terengganu and some part of south Thailand (originally Patani)...
Perbezaan pd sambal tumis tu.. sambal tumis tu kena padu, baru jadi semua benda.
high standard terus dia kena
Budu tu penting
I just try my first nasi kerabu on last ramadhan ..and yeahhh quite good actually 😅 sometimes I crave for it too😂😂
That’s exactly how I felt, I used to dislike Nasi Kerabu because there is so much “greens”, then one day I had to eat it because I don’t have much money (during uni days) and my roommate bought an extra pack of Nasi Kerabu. The first time I tasted it, I felt a bit disgusted but after a few hours the lingering zestiness of the sambal and the saltiness of the coconut shreds coupled with the herba really had me going crazy over it.
Yes its an accquired taste, you have to try a few times before you can be sure if its your liking or not.
💕 to see both of you again! 😻😻..Thanks for a great moment before at Pasar Tok Guru,Pengkalan Chepa.Truly missed you I-Chang & Jimmy.Till we meet again 😘😘
H've a nice trip buddies! 😊 👍

The way you eat Nasi Kerabu very much like the local Kelantanese....Both of you are amazing....
Nasi Kerabu....... Yaaaa..... Nice!!!.... 2 Japanese youtuber that have fallen in love with Malaysian cuisine....and travelling across the country to experience it ..... ICHANG & JIMMY are really killing it!!! SO hungry after watching this......
I'm always craving for Malay food like nasi kerabu and nasi dagang. My mum always cook them when i was young. My Chinese friends couldn't understand why i love Malay food but i just know that they are very delicious.
iChang! You are not suppose to post the video at night. Now look what have you done. I'm already hungryyyy :(
I love nasi kerabu. I will order in some of the local restaurants in KL if the nasi kerabu is available in the menu. I love the combination taste of the rice. 😍😍😋😋😋😋😍
Malaysia is food heaven.
We love Kelantan, we love the food nyum...nyum.... Sedaaaaappppppp!!😍
As Malaysian n kelantanese, i am grateful and thanked both of yours for promoting our food n culture..ur guys did a great job...i will always support ur channel
hok aloh.. mu buat gapo hahahahah

Aarrgh.. you guys really make me miss my kampung arr.. i wish i wqs there so that i could show you all the great places to makan all the sedap food there… huahuahua 😢🫣🥹👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.. enjoy guys.. stay safe.. and do learn some Kelantan words ok hehe bereh..
I never thought I'd go to Kelantan and try the same thing as you guys have tasted. When my friend ordered the meals and I saw the solok lada, it suddenly reminded me of Jimmy enjoying the solok lada!
( a kuih shaped like a hat )
steamed until cooked with coconut milk, that why this solok lada more creamy n taste delicious..
One more ingredient you miss, pounded onion and ginger😊
I missed Kelantan so much..
..seeing you both enjoying the nasi kerabu.
Just came back from short 3 day trip visiting KL and already gained 3.3kg.. When I visit other countries for about 2wks only gain about 1.5 to 2kg 😅
I love the fact that you wearing white shirt and nothing got spill on Ur shirt... Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤗
Setuju. Variety of kuih in Kelate
Kuih tahi itik
I have tasted almost all Malay foods and dishes.. all of them are unique with its own taste based on province and location. but my favourite always to these five states Terengganu, Kelantan, Penang, Pahang and Melaka. Their rice and the side dishes are marvellous.
I see ichang and Jimmy I click it simple ❤️
here my place in sabah also have kelantanese serving nasi kerabu 😘😘.. Love the rawness and healthy. Can't wait to visit kelantan for the real
I love Nasi Kerabu too.
big YES! omg sedapnya bawang putih jerukkk
Tumis Budu right? That one is so delicious 🤤
Agreed, it is a divine combination with kambing bakar. Mouth watering.
Dear Ichang, I m glad u tried and enjoyed Nasi Kerabu.
I hv not eaten Nasi Kerabu since Jan 2022 due to my health issue.. You made my mouth watering ... and craving...🤤
nape xleh makan? sakit apa eh dr x kasi makan nasi kerabu? maap tanya 🙏🙏🙏

Love how you both are game to try and enjoy the local food in Malaysia. Have not had Nasi Kerabu before but will have to see if I can find a good one here in Singapore 😅. Thanks for sharing this experience with us!
very hard in singapore even at kl hard to find the good one... must go to the kelantan to try the authentic one
You can find one at Bedok corner in SG..not as authentic as the Kelantan version but still sedap.
@@kudin7149 usually the nice authentic nasi kerabu are found in pasar malams made by Kelantanese people. In JB I buy from pasar malam is very delicious. Try go to pasar malam in your area and look for Kelantan people selling Nasi Kerabu.
@@kudin7149 there are a lot of good authentic nasi kerabu made and sold by kelantanese in KL. I love the one sold at pasar malam Jln TAR. In Bangi/Kajang area, I like Wan Atiq's.
Come cross border.. many kelantanese open shop in jb.. most recomend you can go to puyuk besar near setia tropika.
すぐにNasi Kerabu を食べたくなる🤣。Kelantan を楽しく過ごしてね。
ただ、KL に戻ることを忘れないでね😉。
After watching your video, makes me want to fly to Kelantan now ! Nasi kerabu is my favourite too.
Kamu berdua pun baik macam org kelantane, mereka pasti berdoa utk kamu menjadi insan yang lebih baik dan lebih bahagia.
what if one day, after experiencing most of the malaysian food, ichang and jimmy open their own restaurant. i would definitely go. =)
Tapi mesti Halal. 👍🏼
If ichang and jimmy open a halal restaurant I'll trust their halal status because I know they're trustworthy ppl and very good hygiene standard
I love nasi kerabu and eat it whenever I can, but this nasi kerabu looks like a whole other level of deliciousness. 😍
Yayyyyy nasi kerabu!! It's my favourite dish of all time. If I can only eat one dish for the rest of my live, it will have to be nasi kerabu. 🤤
Hope you enjoy my hometown, Kelantan!
Almost 11 days ichang dont have new video 🥺🥺 im waiting and are you okey 🥲 where are now ...
Maybe next time you guys can try "Nasi Ulam cikgu" at Kota bharu too and you guys can try "budu" at there... Budu is a famous item at KELANTAN
You went to the best place for nasi kerabu in KB.. Last time I was in KB I went there for 2 days straight.. So satisfied!! Definitely recommended!!
You need to try kuih akok when you're in Kelantan!!
Try Mee Celup,Kerabu Maggie,Somtam, there's many more food to try, enjoy your trip here
I think Kak ida thought you guys were malaysian Chinese 😂.... As nasi kerabu super fan i approve all those you eaten is the best combination for nasi kerabu... But... Sambal tumis should be added to the rice, not serve as dipping sauce 😂😂😂... I really enjoyed your eating experience 😋😋😋
omg guys..please state early that both of you were japanese to the staff..otherwise they would just assume you were kelantanese chinese or malaysian chinese who understand kelantanese dialect..many kelantanese can speak english..but they wont speak english if they think that you are malaysian..so next time..please tell them hello were are japanese cannot speak malay..they would automatically find someone to assist you..english is our second language..
As a kelantanese .. who love japanese culture .. it so unique to see nihonjin trying one of kelantanese symbolic food .. this is like a fever dream for me 🗿
You have to try 'sup urat keting' near aeonmall kota bharu....i love that one...last time we drive 5 hours from alor setar just tu get that ' sup urat keting'
One of my fav menu from Kelantan & Terengganu
The authenticity of NASI KERABU is come from the KERABU itself, more vegetable ( mostly ulam) more authentic for this delicious dish
Yes iChang & Jimmy, I love to eat nasi kerabu with more vegies and sambal/budu in it.
Icang and jimmy so positive.
9:43 I love that teh ais.. It comes with bubble means it was full heavily pull and the taste blended yummy
13:10 usually local will always choose one main dish.. Either ciken or kambing or fish.. But u guys had all. Hahaha that's really full. Job done
17:36 learning normal malay is easy but malay speaking wise, kelantan and ganu accents, penang accents, negeri sembilan accents, kedah accents will make u more fluent...
So whenever I return to Kelantan, I would be eating like you do - enjoying them so much)
What I love about all your videos especially your experience in Kota Bharu, Kelantan was that you both appreciate food like art. Best of all, being thankful for the nice food. (There is another version of Nasi Kerabu in the North known as Nasi Ulam which is equivalently delicious. If you happen to be in Kedah, Langkawi or even Perlis, find Nasi Ulam.)
There are so many more delicacies (food) and other kinds of food in Kelantan you haven't tried yet.
What's the herb?
Hello iCHANG..this nasi kerabu so good for healthy....why not..u and your husband want live in malaysia...its good sound....
next month im going to kelantan to escort my freind getting married , after the ceremony i gonna follow ichang guide eat kelantan food !!!!
*Malaysia food enak sekali 😍 bikin perut lapar*
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video n for showing your nasi kerabu experience in Kota Baru, Kelantan.
Tumis means to fry or sautee, she gave u sambal tumis, u know what sambal is, so sambal tumis is fried chillies.
Wow, u guys got all d side dishes for nasi kerabu, d grilled chicken, d fried fish, d grilled lamb, d stuffed chillies, salted egg, etc yummilicious.
It's very healthy until you top it up with everything....😁
@@melodyofthecursed agree😂😂
❤❤❤❤❤
until you top up with a lot of budu....lol
We Kelantanese normally eat it lightly and the appreciation of the food deliciousness lingers for several weeks, maybe months. Never eat in combo like jimmy 🤭
Ichang always look like baby when eating. Cute sangat
Sebagai rakyat malaysia yang tak makan nasi kerabu, tapi nasi kerabu kedai ni nampak sedapppp 😂😂😂 mgkin nasi kerabu belah selatan tak sama mcm belah timur

Adoi!! Dah sampai Kelantan. Enjoy yr food Jimmy & Ichang.
The solok lada cili is not pickled. It is a fresh cili variety. So, the spiciness is different from one cili to another.
You are such a lovely couple and it's so exciting watching you enjoy trying out new food in different places
One of the best nasi kerabu in kelantan here. Their kambing never disappoint me so delicious!
Thanks!
This is must visit restaurant if i go to Kelantan.. I also suggest this place in your first video travelling to kelantan 😊😊.. I’m glad u like it…
hi Ichang n Jimmy? are you still in kelantan? Have you been to famous Warung Pok Mat Teh Beng Madu to enjoy 'teh beng madu n fish soup w nasi' there in Pulau Pisang. Also, come to pasir mas n stay at a sawah homestay here. you can enjoy 'cottek' (roti canai kuah banjir) n nasi dging kambing at local restoren here. there are also Kelantan-Thai street food in Rantau Panjang
Damnit now I'm craving for some authentic Nasi Kerabu!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you ichang for this video😆 the amount of support and positivity was incredib not to mention your willingness to experience our culture... THANK YOU from humble Kelantanese. ... THANK YOU
I want to go to Kelantan just to eat that authentic nasi kerabu.🤩
I can feel the teh tarik so 'manis'.. i feel gemuk...hehehe..next time order coffee o 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
the fish cracker is called keropok (or more accurately keropok keping, because there is another type of keropok which is keropok lekor).
keropok keping and keropok lekor originate from terengganu and is very famous in pantai timur states (kelantan, terengganu, pahang) . i hope ichang and jimmy can try keropok lekor (fried and boiled version) soon
the fried fish itself we call 'ikan celup tepung' or ICT for short (flour coated fish). also a famous local delicacy in pantai timur especially areas by the beach. if you go to any ICT restaurant they have a lot of other deep fried seafood other than just fish (prawns, squids, etc) . the types of fish used for ikan celup tepung are *usually* ikan kembung (mackerel) and ikan selayang (sardine)
The fried seafood n fish in batter is similar to tempura
U guys really enjoy kelantanese food and looks happy. Their food never failed to impress me. Everytime I'm back to my hometown, i always eat kelantanese food as much as I can. Because it would never be the same with outside from Kelantan.
