There were a couple of months that he was sounding really good. It must be tough to REALLY practice when you've got so much stuff going on, though. We all can go home and screw around, but you don't really learn new scales by covering Yellow Ledbetter for the 1000th time.

I love me some silverburst. Got a V, Explorer and Les Paul Custom all in that color. Just need a strat and a tele and I'll have a complete set.

A big reason the guitar looks so good is that Epiphone didn't do anything funny with the headstock. There's no dead give-away it's an Epiphone, unless you look close.

Can you review Matt Heafy's signature? It's an Epiphone Les Paul, would be really cool guys
They like to review LP and Strats all over again, about six times per year.
I played both the seven and six string versions and both of them felt very comfortable to play. The fast Access heel is a blessing for the upper frets and the guitar did make the impression of a high-quality guitar. However! I didn't like the tone, because EMG's just aren't my cup of the tea. If you like EMG's though, it'll probably be an awesome guitar.
Congratulations for finding out that this was just my subjective opinion! Never said that anything I wrote, is a fact. Those are just my observations and if he's asking for a review, I guess that he'd like to get some opinions ? Of course, there's no way to be sure other than playing the guitar yourself.

Epiphones keep getting better- My brother has the original Jeff Waters Annihilator V- the tone is incredible. I've played this guitar at a store and it's really high quality especially for the price.
i have this guitar, and i love it . Just wanted to say , i really think The Captain has the best job ever, works in a guitar store, hangs out with Chappers and makes videos, plays guitars most of us only dream about and has his own sig model. Great videos, crack on !

Ok, had to stop a mere 1:30 in. Lol My inner nerd is screaming. Dinosaurs lived during the Mesozoic Era 252-66 ish Million Years Ago. (Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous periods) The Mastodon was around during the end of the Pleistocene which ended 11,000-ish years ago. So you're only off about 65,989,000 years. Close enough... now back to the show. :D

I'm loving all this Mastodon stuff online lately, my favorite band ever. Brent Hinds is also my favorite guitarist and I have the V myself. What a great way to start the morning with my coffee!
These things absolutely sold like hot cakes, I'm such a fan of this band. I ordered mine like literally 4 minutes after it was announced. My local shop wasn't even aware it was an actual thing. I'm glad I got mine, it puts such a big smile on my face. I just need a hardcore amplifier to match it now.

I've never even seen any kind of kill-switch incorporated into a guitar, so cool. Albert King has always been a big inspiration so obviously the flying V has a place in my heart.
Best part of a VEE is you don't require a guitar stand!

this has to be one of the greatest guitars ever made in every way shape and form. the golden ratio probably was used in the design, because that axe looks like absolute perfection.
I own Les Paul's with 50s necks and this neck on this guitar is PERFECT. Yes it is big but it feels comfy if you have big hands. I love the tone of this guitar, so happy I got one!

Preordered mine from Andertons back in April. Received it mid June. It really is a great looking, playing and sounding guitar.
If they ever do a sound like for Mastodon, this would be the set-up already, without any other gear!

A Mastodon was a elephant-related beast (similar a mammoth/Asian elephant but not as large) in central and north America 10-20K years ago. Just sayin....:)

Epiphone has been on a roll lately. I recently got a Custom Pro Standard Les Paul from them, and it's the first time i've bought a guitar that I don't feel the need to modify in some way. I've had a Studio Paul in the past that I just couldn't get used to, but this new one sounds and feels like what is expected of a Les Paul. No surprise here. They're on fire.

I've been impressed with the high-end Epiphones lately. I bought the Iommi sig SG and it's fantastic. No complaints at all.

For some reason I absolutely do not like silverburst. I would never ever buy a silver burst guitar. Otherwise it looks great.

I'm the same way, I feel like it's such a dead color. I don't like classic colors either, V should be mean, I want some schectery colors on it like trans purple, orange or green.

I'm not a fan of Mastodon, and even less of a fan of Brent Hinds, but this Epiphone is the first signature guitar I've seen that is so cool I couldn't care less which artist it's created for. Seriously thinking of getting one of these.

I am really doubting between this guitar and the snow falcon. Both great guitars for different reasons too bad I can only choose one. Which one would you choose and why? It would help me out to my doubt between the two.
Even though it's a signature model for a metal guitarist, there's something classy about it. Really nice.
Are there any other guitars like this style? Big neck, you know really good for alternate tunings. not worried about shape just want something like this, price doesn't really matter

It may sound stupid but I want to know or just have a little piece of knowledge on how to learn playing the guitar.
My problem is that I can cover songs but how do I learn to get this beautiful, matched to each other sounds creating a one big piece of art.
I'm dying to be able to play my own music and really want to learn it but I have no idea where to start. :(
If you Rob, oranyone could give me a piece of advice or just tell about their own expierience I'd greatful. :)
As I sad it is realy simple and general question but I find crucial for my journey with the guitar.

Brent Hinds has my taste, if I was going to have Epi build a custom V for me this would be it! That's why I bought one!
I've got one. Only thing I would change is the block inlays are the "mother of toilet seat" blocks. If Epi would have gone the extra mile and used real mother-of-pearl for the inlays it would be perfect.
I'm waiting for the Chapman V, in fact, already saving for it.
If it comes as voted, you already sold one.
The killpot on my Epiphone SG Special died after only a month. I don't know if I pressed it too hard or it was damaged some other way, but it's still sad.
At the end of the year can you guys do a video of the top 10 guitars Andertons have sold please?

Decent review, but you didn't mention how neck heavy it is. This was a total deal breaker for me, as even with a thicker strap I could still feel it pulling down, causing discomfort in my shoulder. Maybe it's chambered, maybe the wood's just too light, but IMO it's something they should look into for future runs of this model cos otherwise it's bloody lovely.

I think it will be more exciting that you do band rig demonstration because it will help the buyer To decide by watching the video what he like the most of the band sound , insted of watching dieffrent and separate videos :)
Epiphone has a great killswitch, the SG Special II comes with one and its like 120$ or so, I bought mine used and it's become one of my favorites (after putting new pickups in it)

Blood And Thunder by Mastodon. Reminded me of NFS Most Wanted days.
