I love the fact that it has a reliable toyota engine in it but I'm a man of logic and its insane to me how they rebadge it and expect us to pay 100k for a supercharged camry!? Dont get me wrong I love the car, but my logical mind won't let me get past that...
@@S5MIKEY No - I don't mean massively different - I mean it's very similar - nut it's not it exactly. There are a few variants of the engine that are dimensionally different. Lotus had to choose one that fits into the space they had. At least that's what they told me when I was stood in their factory in Hethel a month ago. I was watching them bolt the supercharger to the top - and they replace quite a few other parts too. Fascinating stuff!
People just love having power they will never transfer onto the pavement. A manual will do a burnout no matter what motor u have. What's the point of having 700,800,900hp if all ur doing is constantly smoking the tires. A 6cly car let's u really use that power, and wind out them gears while still being able to do the crazy stuff when necessary
@@nundyjwa5356it does but it isn’t a great engine. It’s a 3.5 supercharged making 400hp so realistically maybe 350-360whp. For a 110k+ sports car in 2024 that’s greatly underwhelming. To give you an idea vq37VHR motors that have been out in 2009 370z make 350whp all day long with intakes and exhaust with tune. That’s NA and closer to 390-400hp crank like the emira. Supercharged vq37 on pump 93 with very low boost 5-6psi will make 450whp. That’s 490-500 crank which is what a 2024 revised boosted 3.5 v6 should make
Finally a car that is unique that you don’t see everyday.
That’s because it just came out..
For anyone who hasn’t experienced first hand I can’t confirm it sounds much better in person.
Biggest difference will be the super charger
it already sounds great, how much better can it even get
Can or can’t? 🤔
It has a supercharger?
@@kurt2rsenjazzyou can hear the whine in most videos of it
I saw that car today it sounds so much better in person very beautiful car
I love the emira. It looks so nice
Sounded like a Freaking GTR I love it
Yeah r35 and turbo sound
@@inmortal131the Lotus emira is supercharged
Manual!!! Nice! ❤
Damn nice
Manual Transmission ❤
That sounds heavenly, if an engine for one of these goes up for sale, ima stick it in an Elise
You can, it's the 2GR-FE + Edelbrock supercharger.
Lotus beat you to that, it's called the v6 exige
It’s called a Toyota Camry lol
🔥 🔥
I need that tunnel on my street!
How does it sound better outside the tunnel?
Whoa 😮
Every time a kid thinks when they make a car sound
LMAO..Shoving the STICK SHIFT hard does not make it go faster...

Seems to be Pushing to hard on gear stick?
Having money to buy a car does not equal having the skill to drive it properly
Not bad for a Toyota Camry engine
It’s not actually. It’s just similar.
@@meenboli it quite literally is buddy, only difference is the supercharger slapped ontop of it

Well even if it has a Toyota Camry engine I’d buy it if I had the money. Very good looking car, manual and VERY RELIABLE TOYOTA ENGINE.
Would've been better with paddle shifters.
People hate on V6s yet they praise the GTR R35...

G37 gang
The car’s only weak point is its engine and sound. Otherwise it’s better than the GTS 4.0
Such a sick car, just wish it had a better engine
What would you like?
A V8, a V10 or a V12?
Obvs v12 lol
the engine suits the car perfectly
@@Lytohs555 that'll just make the car heavy as hell. Not what a lotus should be.

I’d probably engine swap it

Rather have a tesla
$100k mr2💀
They a little more powerful and not 100k

$110k is crazy....$70k yes. My 2023 RS3 will beat it in any category
apart from fun

What an absolute loser 😂
Please stop raping the car like that and learn to shift.
This guy cant drive look at the way shifts gears on handle lollll
