+Beth Stalvey "Sweetie", he obviously said that they made a lot of money off their best album, "Funeral". Poor "Sweetie" needs to get her facts straight before she wants to bitch at people.
God That Hipster Chick Funeral wasn't that big of a success. Didn't you see the way he addressed the camera, his body language? He was being sarcastic :/
The one thing I HATE about interviews is when the interviewer nod their head at everything someone says, like they agree with every word someone says and it gets annoying, like pay attention and stop nodding your head.
I absolutely adore Arcade Fire, and listening to them got me mega into LCD Soundsystem as James Murphy produced Reflektor, and Will Butler's solo work is fantastic too.. but as for no real hit, common.. you know that's not true, you gotta "Wake Up" to the fact that you do have a big hit, you encore with that song always.. atleast the 2 times I've seen you and in live set videos.
Wake Up isn't their hit. I think they encore with that because it's the anthem of Funeral. I don't think people go to an AF show just to hear Wake Up...
I think they don't have a hit because different people relate to different albums/ songs. I wouldn't be surprised if they went and did an electro album next and people will still love it. They're just a band who don't seem to stick to tradition and that's why anyone who takes the time to listen to them loved them.
"that's an interesting theory" gah i love him
Me too( 3 ), synchronically.
This guy is trying to inspire Win to name their 5th album - Projector
Aw Win we love you, come back! Here's to seeing AF in 2025 ❤
Win is such a boss
My God. Why such convoluted questions? This guy talks more than Win.
I don't think he comes off as pretentious. He's just calm and confident
My god his house is so fucking big and beautiful. I LOVE YOU WIN!
God That Hipster Chick Sweetie that's not his house...

Is he taking a sip of an empty cup?
Totally. To mix grunge with raving in the 90s would have been like sacreligous while growing up

ok then, what would you say their hit is then.. I'd assume it's their hit, maybe "Rebellion (Lies)" or Haiti or something.

The most awkward interview in music history
What a bad interview
he's a good musician but pretentious as hell.
