Incorrect, many folks with solar vacuum tube cookers create ultra tasty dishes in an hour's time, feeding a large groups with no fuel, or emissions with minimal effort. Is solar cooking always your first line cooking modality, no, of course not. Is it for you? Maybe not. But when its possible to cook with just the sun successfully, or to augment stoves or thermal cookers with free fuel, that's pretty cool! Great cooking is a passion for many and drudgery for others, understood. Cooking can be rewarding with what ever modality you choose though. Bottom line, most folks eat 2 or 3 times a day to stay alive, and its always best to have options. Your also going to get more value out of products you can use multiple times in dire situations, daily living, or for community recreation.
