It Took Us 2 Attempts to Reach Grotto Falls!- A look at what the trail is like

- This was during our stay in 2021. We made our first attempt a bit too late in the day and the weather was turning on us, so we made it to a point then turned around. Mom decided she wanted to complete the trail, so we returned at a later date and made it to the falls. Was it worth it? We think so. I tried to give an idea of what the hike up is like as far as roots, steps, crossing over water, steepness, etc. It's quite the walk, but very pretty!

*I started this channel so my dad could look back on our trips and try to see anything he might have missed in person, and also so he could see what we did on trips he was unable to join us on. When Tim and I came down from Grotto last year a guy starting said you look beat. I said thanks. I’m out of shape. 🤣
🤣 hahaha! That sounds like pretty much everyone who we heard going up and down that trail. It was funny to listen to everybody 😂
You should check out Middle Prong Trail at the end of Tremont Logging Auto Tour is about 1.5 miles very wide gravel walking path is awesome. If Aunt Becky can make it Spruce Flats Falls is another great water fall on that same road.
We've been up and walked around Tremont, but didn't manage to do the auto tour yet. It was a nice day walking around the area, though! We haven't done the Middle Prong Trail or Spruce Flats Falls. I just told her about it as I read your comment, so she wants to try it next! 🙂 She also wanted me to ask because we were watching an old Yankees video yesterday, if it was ya'll she is remembering who got married in the little church in Gatlinburg or it was somebody else?
@@LostGirlJessie we got married locally. We thought about renewing our vows in the mountains some day.
Oh gosh, now it's going to drive her crazy trying to remember who it was lol
