The note 7 saved my life When I was lost the wild I note 7 graciously burst into flames to keep me warm and started a single fire to alert rescuers. Thank you note 7
Linus being on the end of the Baby Boomer cycle which falls into the start of your Millennial one, I have to add one thing Good Roundhouse kick young man. These young-ins have no clue at life's irony . Said in Wan when I realized Miss Yvonne was Expecting, before you mentioned but once again Congrats young man! B/G or letting Nature decide? Cow }:-o)
+Lee Cason Yeah it is, the only reason that the one dudes phone blew up is because he was using a MicroUSB to USB Type C connector (USB 2.0 -> USB 3.1) which didn't supply enough power, which caused a short... people are dumbasses
GormyGorm no they're not, not everyone knows anything about what u just said, the tech community sees it as blown up because they know shit, but tell that to the people who just expect to plug things in and they work. Other phones go through the same situations and don't explode nearly as much
It is all nice and all, but what does this do that my 2 year old phone doesn't do? I used to upgrade often, but phones have now reached a "good enough" point for me...
Iris Scanning, SPEN, you're phone might have fingerprint reader but it might not, much better camera and display, newer software features and a crap ton more.
***** Within the last 24 hours. Samsung has initiated a product recall and stopped selling Galaxy Note 7 devices. Because more than 35 units blew up whilst charging.

+TbonePlays You think a business is going to issue a recall because people, when applying a lot of pressure, can bend their phones? Recalls are for dangerous things, like a phone exploding or an airbag system not properly working in a car...
I like how everybody was like: "iPhone 7 will SUCK Note 7 ftw" and now they're shut up about it when they found out the Note 7 is a bomb, not a phone. 😆
Just wanted to say that the little animations that correspond to the spoken review were noticed and greatly appreciated! Keep that quality improving! :)
I remember seeing this phone in the Verizon store and I really wanted one because they looked so cool and I was deciding on the Note 7 or the iPhone 6s Plus. I went with the 6s Plus because that was the one that was out already. The Note 7 wasn’t released yet so there were only the store demo ones :(
You see, Samsung, having failed at advertising, decided to take marketing to the next level. The term "It's Lit" has been getting more and more popular, and they decided to take it to the next level: literally making a "lit" smartphone. Meet the hottest phone of the year: the Galaxy Note 7: LIT.
The Note 7 is a beautiful phone, it's unfortunate that it had to be recalled. But knowing Samsung they'll once again, make another phenomenal masterpiece
I have Nystagmus AKA dancing eyes, a eye condition that leads to poor vision as well as the eye keeps moving and can't really focus on the object seen by it. I have to use a magnifying glass while using my phone when i couldn't pinch zoom or use force zoom, this happens mostly in apps that have small font and no option to increase them or the content they show. The magnify feature of the s-pen has been the most important thing i was waiting for in this phone, and i believe there should be a built in magnifier in all android phones which can work by long pressing on the screen to activate it. I have seen many reviewers say that this is useless, but for people with poor vision this is one stone turned in the right direction, you reviewers have become the voice of the user base but please don't use your videos to generalize a view or thought, there are people like me who relish this magnification feature. I love android because it has the option to increase font size everywhere and not just certain places like apple. I had emailed apple last year in Feb 2015, mentioning my condition and it leading to poor vision, i also stated that it is also present in developed countries like USA and UK, i requested them to reduce the icon size a bit so that they can have larger font for menu icons as well as the top notification area can show larger content, and thus making their premium products more accessible to people like me, but after many iOS iterations, do we have it no, at least Samsung did happen to give us some godsent help. But now the Note7 issues are making me conflicted and confused, as i don't know if here in India we would get a good note7 and also there is the issue of it being banned to use on planes so if one has to ride on a plane, it would be a boring flight. Though for a closing statement i applaud Samsung for doing something good for people with poor vision, it's really saddening the product that i want to use so much is not a serious issue to safety.
I still miss this phone a little bit and was so bummed I had to eventually return it. I held out for quite a while though. I also miss that first gen Huawei Watch. That was my first and probably still my favorite looking smartwatch.
samsung would never run stock android for some reason... If they revive the "Google Play" edition of their phones, it would be the best thing ever (samsung would not do that on the Note series because lots of S Pen features will be cut off)
Android flagships simply are not worth it anymore.. Samsung, HTC, Nexus etc.. OnePlus, ZTE and Xiaomi have certainly destroyed the flagship market. There is nothing more embarrassing then people who still pay $1000+ for an iPhone though
had the note 2 and loved it. have the note 5 and love it. plan on getting the note 7 soon. it's too bad they had to recall the Note 7 all because the manufacturer of the battery they use in the phone had some kind of manufacturing error that caused the phones to catch on fire. I'm trying to monitor the battery situation to see if they get it fixed but until then I will stick with the Note 5. I am still learning about all the stuff you can do with the Note 5. the biggest problem I have is the lack of memory. I have the 64 gig and I fill that up very easily. one thing I have not seen as of yet on your Channel is there is an app called Mega that you can get on your phone or tablet and it's for online storage. you get 50 gigabytes free online storage when you open your account. you should check that one out and give your opinion of it. and the cool thing is it is kind of like Dropbox because you can share files to friends and family or your coworkers.
+HaohmaruHL lol everyone knows that Apple and samsung try sabotaging each other's newest phones and then get it to make the news. totally agree with you on 8:15 .If there was a combination of requests to access the private files on the phone..That would be awesome. You should copyright that . lol
Linus when the new iPhone comes out can you do a side by side comparison? Thanks for all the videos you make, tips and recommendations you give. I appreciate how you explain everything and how things work you are one of my go channels for info thanks
Just wondering how you got a exynos soc note 7 in Canada? Despite what some articles say, I am enjoying my Snapdragon 820 variant a lot. Battery life is amazing (though the exynos will likely get better because of the energy efficiency). The phone is great for day to day use, media, gaming and even heavy uses such as computing (believe it or not, the s pen works wonder with mobile cad software and the snapdragon 820 is capable soc for simulations and other hpc computing code). So I use the phone in all spectrums. Its a great phone, and mine hasn't blown up yet so I am safe!! Hope you enjoy yours.
The more I watch this video the more I cry inside. I wanted this phone for my next phone Nay I needed this phone This phone was to be my baby My companion My best friend to get me through those lonely nights and long days. This phone was everything I could've asked for in a smart phone. And more... Large, fingerprint sensor, expandable storage, a notification led, hardware buttons, and more... But, like so many of my dreams It blew up in my face I shall miss you Galaxy Note 7 You seem like you were out of this world, utterly perfect for me. I can only hope Samsung will deliver with the Note 8 and create a device worthy to succeed you because it doesn't seem like they'll be bringing you back any time soon :(
with the higher class gorilla glass, this fragmentation grenade can now cause 20% addition damage over it iPhone counter part which just gets a little warm, folds itself in half and has a little sleep
I have fairly large hands. Using a touch screen for me is usually an exercise in frustration because I'm always having to pay attention to which part of my finger tip touches the screen first and then it's still a pain because I can't see what I'm supposed to be touching once my finger is in the way. I much prefer using a stylus for touch functions so having one available for a smart phone would be a major selling point. That said, who is going to need a pen with pressure sensitivity on a smart phone? I guess if you're playing a grand for a phone, a simple molded plastic stylus that would cost a few bucks to replace just isn't in the cards, but it would have been a better choice for actual use.
Take the exact design of the note 7, put a completely flat front screen face on it, use a 1mm or 2mm [like the s7] bezel on either side of the screen, then scale the whole phone down to my preferred optimum of 5.3" screen size. Make battery life paramount. Possibly reduce it to a 1080p screen. I'd be okay with that. Maybe get more FPS for the camera that way, too? Oh, and USB type C. And front facing speakers. And the headphone jack on TOP instead of the bottom. Let's call it $700 even and I'd buy one that follows the same basic formula with reasonable upgrades every 2-3 years.
4:13 WARNING TO ALL VIEWERS!: JerryRigEverything has released a video to correct his error when he scratched the Note 7 with his picks. The error was that the sharpening stone had left little bits on the picks making his level 3,4 and 5 picks effectively a level 7! In the correction video the glass's actual hardness level with a new set of picks is the noticeable grove in the glass with a level 6 pick and, a much deeper grove with a level 7 pick.
I was never fast at texting, and feel that I've even slowed down since I got my first Smartphone, with their on screen keyboards. In my day if you wanted an 'S' you better be prepared to press that 7, 4 times.
This channel used to highlight electronic devices.. Sad to see it turning into an explosives channel.

Looks like Linus joined Pewds and Jack, they all went to ISIS

Linus, that kick was pretty impressive :O
we want more
#linuskicktips
Seconded, need to see more of your martial art side of things.
+MADBONE NICE GLASSES!
What's more impressive was that he did it in socks. ON CARPET. Which basically makes it a lightning kick.
Thank you for finally showing off a phone without a dbrand skin layered on it.
He's obviously not sponsored by dbrand for this vid, so he doesn't consider dbrand skins to look great anymore.
Kei Angelus nah, they only have skins in sponsored one because dbrand supplies the phones in the first place
This is high quality explosive device, 10/10 would highly recommend for attacks against the west.
iiiiiiyyeah :D

No shit Sherlock
I said "I know this is a joke"
aaaaaaaand it's been recalled
I know right, haha
least they do recall it ,unlike apple and xiaomi etc etc
Too bad
***** It's not a bad thing at all, they actually care about their customers.
Apple does recall for bad batteries btw. And the reason apple doesn't recall is because their mistakes can be fixed with a software update, usually.
Hehehe "with the other 5.7 inch thing in my pocket" I see what you did there Linus

"Are flagship phones truly dead??"
I'm not so sure about that, but the Galaxy Note 7 definitely is dead now.
3:13 was I the only one that got that joke
You're never the only one.
The only thing I noticed in this review, is that there is no dBrand skin on the Note 7.
Holy shit you're right!
Because Linus actually uses this phone and gives a shit about it for once.
That would have looked terrible
He uses every phone he reviews
DONT try to piss me off,or I will charge my Note7!!!

+Lee Cason Yeah it is, the only reason that the one dudes phone blew up is because he was using a MicroUSB to USB Type C connector (USB 2.0 -> USB 3.1) which didn't supply enough power, which caused a short... people are dumbasses
Yeah, the worldwide recall definitely proves that 'people are dumbasses'. Idiot.
that was the S7 Edge not the note 7
GormyGorm no they're not, not everyone knows anything about what u just said, the tech community sees it as blown up because they know shit, but tell that to the people who just expect to plug things in and they work. Other phones go through the same situations and don't explode nearly as much
Too expensive, I could get 30 M67 grenades for one of those.
lmfao
but the phone could do the same thing as the grenade
+MixedMatt oh, BUUURRRRRRRNNNNNNN!!!
I mean that quite literally.
But do those M67 grenades have super amoled HDR screens? It's no competition!
you could watch porn with this thing before blowing up something 😂😂😂😂
It is all nice and all, but what does this do that my 2 year old phone doesn't do?

and theres a difference between opening apps quicker, and being "faster"
+RV Gantala i have to disagree on that one
+steve mcmillan yeah it has faster flash storage so its more responsive and therefore offers a better experience while using it.

Um, but you CAN lock your secure folder (and anything you put in it, like banking, etc) with the iris scan for an additional level of high security over and above unlocking the phone. And you could do that when you reviewed the phone...
Of course most people will currently want to talk about the recall over some of the batteries being substandard and melting down... but frankly after my first week with the note 7, I might exchange it for one with a better battery, but I'm by no means switching to any other model of phone, it's a superb phone, and exceeded my every expectation (exploding batteries aside)
linus tech tips went from messing with computers to messing with bombs
totally agree with you on 8:15 .If there was a combination of requests to access the private files on the phone..That would be awesome. You should copyright that . lol
Linus when the new iPhone comes out can you do a side by side comparison? Thanks for all the videos you make, tips and recommendations you give. I appreciate how you explain everything and how things work you are one of my go channels for info thanks
lol, was searching for next video right when you said the conclusion is the least watched segment! I usually finish though, your the best....
Happy 3 Million!
I really do miss that phone :/
Such a good device.
So cool! I really want it, unfortunately it wasn't on sale anymore. Sad.
The more I watch this video the more I cry inside.
I wanted this phone for my next phone
Nay
I needed this phone
This phone was to be my baby
My companion
My best friend to get me through those lonely nights and long days.
This phone was everything I could've asked for in a smart phone.
And more...
Large, fingerprint sensor, expandable storage, a notification led, hardware buttons, and more...
But, like so many of my dreams
It blew up in my face
I shall miss you Galaxy Note 7
You seem like you were out of this world, utterly perfect for me.
I can only hope Samsung will deliver with the Note 8 and create a device worthy to succeed you because it doesn't seem like they'll be bringing you back any time soon :(

"Excellent battery management" Famous last words of Linus Sebastian 2016
with the higher class gorilla glass, this fragmentation grenade can now cause 20% addition damage over it iPhone counter part which just gets a little warm, folds itself in half and has a little sleep
Loved the 540 kick. You should do more tricking.
"my new daily driver"
Yeah, that turned out well didn't it?
I love how you named Brandon "B-Roll" on your phone :D
That's a HUGE headphone jack coming in at 3.5 inches! 2:57
I like the new animations that accompany the specs, are you guys going to keep these as standard? they look great!
Thanks for the vid.. Does the note 7 suffer from lip sync issues over Bluetooth like my S6?
CONGRATS ON 3 MILLION!!!!
Great job Linus, exploding review, loved it
