If Shikis can also feel pain of being killed in the same way as humans, there is no fundamental difference in death between Shikis and humans. Any attempt to kill them doesn't seem to be justifiable even if the act of killing is a requirement for their survival. There is no necessary reason that death must be burdened on one side for the subsistence of the other side. It is tragic that the characters have nothing to justify their act that they deserve to have done.

If you've played KH...then, left to right, the characters look like Sora, Riku, Kairi, & Namine. But, I only know that they're actually from Shiki, not who they are.

I think Clannad is definitely up there with it.
