Thank you! Thank you! I was totally lost until I saw your video, I just purchased some and they arrived today, they're the same one's you're using from Vase Perfections. I didn't realize I actually had the water beads until you showed the packet, and they actually have to swell, I was thinking the gel packet was going to thicken the water lol, anyhow so glad I found your video, thanks again!!
I just wanted to take a moment to tell you I found your video very informative... I do not own any water beads, I didn't really have any plans to buy water beads, and honestly, I was just looking for info to learn more about water beads in general... Usually I just skip/jump through videos like this, but not this video.. This one I watched every second of and now I feel somewhat knowledgeable about these water bead things... I still do not have a use for them, even after about 10 min of brainstorming, I still can't figure out a unique use for these that differs from anything you reccomend, which only makes me believe that your video and website are very thorough in explaining and demonstrating these water bead thingies! For your thorough and thoughtful presentation of this topic, I THANK YOU. I also congratulate you on achieving something 99.999999% of all other videos on UA-cam (that I've watched) have not accomplished: Your video, all of which I just watched, either compelled, inspired, or enlightened me enough that I feel that it is not only proper to stop what I'm doing and take the time to comment, but absolutely necessary to share my gratitude for your creative contribution. This is something I don't do often, so Thank You, and Great Job! :) To anyone looking to learn about water beads, give this video a watch... I especially liked when you poured the water into the clear beads, that was very interesting, and thought provoking. I do have a few questions/comments/suggestions if you don't mind me asking: #1 I would have loved to see a closeup of the clear water beads before & after you added water to make them "disappear" so that I could really see how "invisible" the clear water beads become after the addition of whatever. #2 when you purchase water beads, what do they look like, are they completely dry? #3 When you "dry out" water beads for storage, do they become completely dry? #4 Do "dried out" water beads take on their full shape and luster once hydrated again? #5 is there any disadvantage of drying out your water beads? #6 are water beads solid mass or a hollow shell? #7 Since water beads are water permeable (they hydrate, and dehydrate) What happens if you hydrate them using colored water, for instance what would happen if you soak "dried" (clear) water beads in a container of water with a few drops of food coloring? Would they take on the color of the water? #8 water beads that are already a color when purchased: are these just because color water was used, or is the polymer of the bead itself that color? #9 Ooooooo, an even more interesting question: what if you hydrated dry water beads in carbonated water?? Would the resulting hydrated water beads have any of that carbonation in them (really only viable if the answer to #6 is that they are hallow) #10 do fully hydrated water beads float in carbonated water? #11 I've see some kids activities that have something to do with freezing hydrated water beads.... I can imagine this is a sure way to destroy your water beads (since water expands and would tear the polymer resulting in thawed mush), but have you ever done anything with frozen water beads? OK, so I have to be done with this comment at this point because if I don't stop now I'll continue to come up with even more questions. :) Also, I know that I can find answers to all these questions on Google I'm sure, but since you were very informative, I thought I would ask you for your take on any of the questions asked above. Again, thank you for the video, and thank you in advance for any response! Sincerely, Chris
I love what you have done here. with the floating pearls but I saw a video with a twig and rose heads. but there was no need for the gel balls/ could of just been water .can u advise me pls x
I’m from the uk not sure if you are? What are the light balls your using (need some of them in my life) they are amazing for this I’m trying to do some Halloween and Christmas ideas.
Question-I want to make a Christmas cookie jar-clear glass. I find everywhere on mounding beads and they should be washed every 3 days. Is there a way to keep them from molding while in vase with decorations. I really would like to keep it until Christmas.
I have tried making a floating vase a couple of times however, I have tried using both tap water and distilled and the water turns a disgusting brown and a lot of my water beads go straight to the top, what am I doing wrong?
When you use the waterbeads and pearls. When you add the water do the beads continue to grow over a period of time? If so, what do you suggest so that the waterbeads don't overflow onto the table?
If you put water in the ornaments, they stay put. My first candle had everything floating to the top 😂. Glitter ornaments don't work as well either. Thanks for the tip on the beads. I am going to the store tomorrow. I am going to do these with my little nieces. Magic Candles! I can't wait to see their reaction when I add the water!
I wish I'd watched this before I began. I think I have too many beads in my vessel. My pearls look distorted and I can sort of see there is something in the water
I loved your display how cool is that!! By the way where did you get your led lights. Ive been looking for them everywhere and the only ones I found were the tea lights but with a yellow light and not the led white light. HELP!! please :-)
Hey, about the Christmas ornaments, maybe you can put some beads _inside_ them so they'll stay put, or well-cleaned rocks just barely small enough to fit through the tops or something. Just an idea. If you use small ones that the beads are too big to stick in, put them in the ornaments dry, then submerge the whole thing, unless the water would damage the ornaments.
I am getting married in 13 days and need to get my center pieces done, but didn't want to make them too soon, because we will be traveling over 4 hours away to the beach and so I'm afraid about transporting them. I wanted to use colored sand, sea shells and I bought clear and purple crystal gel, not the round deco beads. Can you use all of these together or will the gel mess up the sand?
I "think" if you put the sand in the bottom and then put the beads in and then start your stacking, it will work. You would have to fill them slowly at first to keep the sand from swirling. I haven't tried it, thus, I think. 🤔
I am having a difficult time finding a large amount of the small gels to add water to as I need them. With a lot of searching on the Internet, everything is being sold already hydrated and in colors since I last wrote. You never did say where you bought the 1000 for "99 cents" or the "12000 for $9.99? I want to keep a stock, not buy a small bag for an inflated price. Karla
+Karla Cash you can get them from this seller on ebay if you don't mind waiting 3 weeks. i just received mine and i am happy with them. 50000 for $26.99. they have them in most colors. www.ebay.com/itm/311368128602?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=610471558358&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Where can you buy the pearls?
I know Orbeez. It is the same as water beads and also where do you get yours from.

Love all ur ideas. Great video.
Great tutorial. How do you make the colored water beads a color? Would you use food coloring? Or do you sell these?
You can buy them on eBay. 1000 for .99 in different colors Don't buy the ones from over seas I bought 12000 for 9.99
Hi....what did u call that small light that you put inside the jar?
Great Video. Thank you😍
How long does it take for the water pearls to soak up the water you added and swell up or over fill the vase?
I soaked mine for 6 hours and that was the peak growth. They are so cool!
I was wondering is there any way to change the color of the beads from clear to any other color with any kind of paint or dye?
You ca buy in different colors on eBay
Thanks so much
