I really like the way they turned out! I’ve never seen these before, now I’m looking forward to making some myself. Thanks for another wonderful idea!😃❤️
I love how this turned out, I had this planned for a craft night with girlfriends but hadn't actually practiced yet. Thanks for the visuals and inspiration.
Hi I just love watching videos on water beads..but don’t know if you can add wooden beads with them. So stilled water is better then tap water. To make them bigger…..thank you for your video…I love watching you make them…
These were absolutely amazing. LOVE the nautical theme! Does anyone know if the DT Christmas village pieces are waterproof? I want to try a Christmas theme. ❤
Very pretty! How long will they last without burning the candles? These would be pretty to use for the summer but I don't know if they would last that long.
Thank you. Every week you will need to change the water, as it will get murky if it's in direct sunlight. Also water evaporates, so the water beads will get smaller and more than likely the shells will shift. It's more of a temporary display or you could use expoxy for long turn( minus the candle part ) 😃
Hi Kim, well I wouldn't as over time the water will change colour if is the sun. But then again, I stored those same beads in a container in the basement from my Christmas vases I did. But I emptied the water out. Honestly can't really say as I have never did nor did I ever see anyone. Maybe you could use resin but resin is expensive. Thank you for the compliment and if you do, please let me know how it goes ❤️
Water will get cloudy faster in the sun. Water does need to be changed often, less than 2 weeks. Water does evaporate so the water does go down. It's not a permanent display. More like a special occasion display. Thanks !!
After being made, how long do these last? My fiance and I are wanting to make these for our wedding centerpieces and we want to create them ahead of time, we have about 9 months to go. Please advise, thank you! (also great work!)
Good morning, so the only suggestion I would say is to make them a few days prior, keep out of sunlight (so water doesn't change brown), use lighter in weight shells. You may have to top up the water after a couple of days but you the distilled water when you do. I know it's a lot of work planning a wedding but if you can make them even the day before is better. Best advice I can give. Make one and see how long it lasts, play around with the design or look your after. This way when you go make a bunch of them, you'll know exactly what you're doing. Hope that's helpful 😃
They are beautiful I may just try it out I have an idea of what to put in it and color scheme hopefully I will be able to get the water beads in the color I'm thinking of but if I can find all I need n get it made I'll send you a pic❤
That is so beautiful I have seen so many of these I just want to know how long does the beads last like how do you have to change them out can you use them over and over how long has your beats last before you have to throw away cuz they're too gross
Thanks, these beads I used were from last Christmas. You will see when they get gross/old. Change the water every other week and keep out of the direct sunlight. When I store them in a sealed plastic container, I just rinse and empty the water.
I've just started making Centerpieces, I'd like to sell them at flea markets, but is there a way to seal the top after adding the water so it won't spill. Also, how would you ship a completed piece?
I don't know about that other than making one for a display and the rest without water. Write the instructions down for the customer and emphasize it has to be distilled water and the rest explained in the video 😊
Absolutely beautiful very creative I loved the beach theme it would be great for a outdoor wedding near the Beach.🐚🌊☀️⛵️🏖️.
Thank you ☺️, yes definitely would be for a beach wedding ❤️

Hi Trish, definitely a great craft for girls night 👌☺️❤️! Let me know how it goes 😃

I'm not sure if wood beads would work. Distilled water helps the beads from not over growing. Tap water will make them too big and really soggy. 😅
These were absolutely amazing. LOVE the nautical theme! Does anyone know if the DT Christmas village pieces are waterproof? I want to try a Christmas theme. ❤
Thank you ☺️! I doubt the little villages are water proof, you could always buy one and try it out 😀

Wow I was so inspired and amazed! 1 question: would u b able to seal the tops off?
Hi Kim, well I wouldn't as over time the water will change colour if is the sun. But then again, I stored those same beads in a container in the basement from my Christmas vases I did. Beautiful
Thank you 😊
But will the distilled water go bad over time? Like do I have to change it?? Amazing tutorial btw!

These are so beautiful! How long do they last? I'm definitely going to make these! Thank you for sharing ❣️ 🥰 ❤️
Thanks 😊...a couple of weeks but you'll have to add some water as it evaporates.
That turned out fabulous!!! I love it! If you could list or tell me the glue you used or where to get it I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you, you mean the glue to glue the glass together?
@thecraftyshopper4007 Yes, I have never seen or heard or it bt I live California ! I would love to have something like it! 😊
@@realitynineteen the glue to glue the glass is e6000. There no glue on the inside of the vases.
@@thecraftyshopper4007 tysm I'll look for it here. 😁

One more thing..... Congratulations 🥳 💍💒
@@thecraftyshopper4007 Thank you for the response, this helps! We will give it a try :)
Amazing!! Do the shells sink eventually?
Thank you ☺️, yes eventually they will sink as the water evaporates, the small will shrink.
They look great. 😄Linda
Thanks ❤️
Love it ❤
Thanks Vicki ☺️
Are these very heavy with water for the tall candle holders? Does it need more support on a bottom?
I've used them a few times without issue. The only thing I suggest is that it's on a solid surface 😀
They are beautiful I may just try it out I have an idea of what to put in it and color scheme hopefully I will be able to get the water beads in the color I'm thinking of but if I can find all I need n get it made I'll send you a pic❤
I'm not sure wood beads would work in water but you definitely can try. 😊 xx

Can you do a sealed jar? Or do the items still settle?
The shells will start falling as water evaporates. Not sure about a seal jar .
When you store the beads in the container you store them without water?
Yes without water 👍
Thank you.@@thecraftyshopper4007
When i add water to my vase. After a while the beads start expanding more and go over the top.
How csn i keep that grom happening?
What kind of water did you use ? What beads did you use?
😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
could you fill with clear resin for permanency?
Hi 👋, I have never worked with resin but I couldn't see why not 😊.
what store did you get the floating candles????
Walmart
How often do you top them up with water?
When you see the water evaporate
Cute
Thanks ☺️
How many grams of transparent beads did you use?
I did do it by grams
