The "cutesy" part raises a certain thought. I think battle music in games, especially boss music, always benefits from including the player characters in it. This whimsical flute part represents the Bros. putting up a fight, still standing despite the boss not letting up. Perhaps something the boss is not expecting, that the bros are still alive and jumping.
This is my most favorite theme, I've been working on a rearrangement from just listening so watching this after that was nice to notice that I got all the notes right
Anything can work! I've always been using FL Studio. You can also try Reaper, Cubase, Ableton or if you use mac Logic Pro - I don't have experience with any of these though.
@@ChristophJakob Thank you very much! I am a big video game music enthuasiast and you have a cool channel :) Edit: Do you also know free software that you would recommend?
@@mrelectrodude9391 When reclusa is on his last phase the music is kinda good but when he is in his tree form and inside the egg thing the music is generic.
Did you know that I've written my own fanmade Mario & Luigi styled boss theme recently?

Can confirm, it's a binger and a banger 🔥

The official name for this is called "Careful, now...", which I find fitting.
0:30 I fully expected this to explode into the Mario kart theme
Ok you won the miniboss theme is better than the main boss theme
Both are pretty good, I agree though
Both are way better then the main battle theme.
@@ConcernedGD The normal is good too, you hear it everywhere in the game.
@ yeah, that’s why it starts to get annoying. It’s just everywhere. I would’ve liked a bit of more variations

Green shirt Chris being a boss makes sense after the Halloween video.
I wanted to react with a Green Shirt Chris emoji now, but we don't have one yet, dang.
If you liked the midboss theme then you will definitely like the main boss theme
Very blues-like progression in the beginning, of course when we take away the modal melodies 👀✨
You should hear "broken coral" from splatoon
You should check out the guilty gear ost the charactee themes are great
Do you have a recommendation for a program for composing? For beginners

@@philippfrogel9355 Thanks! Reaper is free. FL Studio also has a free demo but it comes with some limitations. Up to you what you want to choose!
I can't belive how good this song is but how underwhelming and not iconic the final boss theme is 😔
Hard disagree tbh, final boss theme is really good but definitely gets better in context
Hard disagree
