I was there!! Loved it. When he started with Sequence C from Phaedra (first one) you could see everyone just wathcing and liatening and not a single movement or a phone was out at rhat moment. It was like a collective "trip"!!
Great to see they’re still at it. Is it really 50 years since I bought that LP !! my word time does fly , lot better times then and some great music on that LP 👏👏👏👏
Yes, I bought it when it came out too, in 1974. It's not very much like the album version of Phaedra though & would've barely recognised any of the movements as being from that album if it wasn't called Phaedra 59 year anniversary.
Completely absorbing and brilliant concert, some old sections with a modern twist, almost as powerful as the Dominion 81 concert in terms of the feeling of connection with the evolving Tangerine Dream, I think this trio is coming of age and getting better and better, who knows whether old friends from Maidenhead made it to see this, Bass
Thanks for posting this - very nice video and good audio quality too! So glad they did Phaedra and a "session" to begin with, rather than ending with a solemn 'session' - that always seems like a depressing way to finish a concert -this time it was much more upbeat!
Rubycon at the 56 min mark: they didn't have to make it this intense, lol. I re-listened to the remake on Particles (2016) recently and I thought it was very good.
@@AndyKing1963 i thought i heard a rubycon melody in the strings part, but it does seem to turn into the repeating 4 note phaedra strings phrase about 57-58mins in. rather than anniversary shows, i'd prefer if the current TD carefully turned highlights from several sessions into a new album, rather than releasing full sessions each as an album, and if the Froese book was released as a conventionally priced paperback. I don't think I could ever convince myself to buy the overpriced hardback. but maybe if it was republished by a mainstream publisher at an affordable price it wouldn't stay in print. so long as eastgate own it, so long it will remain in print,so I expect there'll be no paperback or reprint.

What do you mean? Thorsten has been part of TD with Edgar since 2003 and has contributed to a lot of original pieces with him, so it makes sense for him to continue with the band . They aren't some cheap tribute act.
I thought Paul's knees would buckle! The guy creates some serious wobble as he plays. Hoshiko is hugely frustrating to watch for me. She does almost nothing? When she plays the violin - no change at all in the soundscape. Her contribution to me doesn't work in a live setting.
I wonder if people were still going apeshit about this type of mediocre flim-flam if TANGERINE DREAM were not written all over it but any other name. Probably not.

Phaedra has always remained by far my favorite of Tanferine Dreams albums with their 1st one.
This band has really tapped into the immersive experience of classic tangerine dream.
They really are taking this ship to the cosmos and beyond.

Thanks for this great recording of my favourite band!
Helping to keep the dream alive
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
Thankyou for great sound. Wish I'd been there.
😊Next time!
Best lineup in decades

I love ❤❤❤ Tangerine Dream.
thank you - just found - excited to listen

You look as though you sat very back Central where my son and I were.
The Session Piece was magnificent!
Best show in years, we were in the middle of the centre.

they didn't play Rubycon, but there will be a Rubycon show next year to mark the 50th anniversary

@@owenmcgee8496 TD are planning a 'special event' in Frankfurt next year, I wonder if this will be a Rubycon concert?
Are they going to do 50 year anniversay tours for all their albums ?@@AndyKing1963

Super Laurence ! Any more footage recorded ?
Unfortunately not for this show, I have a video of TD at the Palladium and a few snippets of their 2919 show at the Barbican on my channel.
Excellent! One of the best Tangerine Dream tribute bands out there without doubt :-) Thanks for the upload!
Glad you enjoyed it

I didn't recognise the piece from about 50mins to 56mins. Sounded a bit like older TD, but no name is coming to me.
Los Santos City Map from Recurring Dreams
Love it❤❤❤
Now, can we have a proper HiFi version please?
This “bootleg” version sucks in quality of sound and video
It's a record and a memory. 😊
Tangerine Dream in name only 🙄🙄

We thought exactly the same but didn't want to be so open with such a negative thought!!
