I bought few days ago fine nib but it's mentioned in behind the feed.... But disappointed thing is not available spare nib ✒️ if it break or something else.
You are right about the nib tip sizes. No two Parker Frontier nibs are ditto same with respect tip or finishing. Each one writes well in its own way possibly due to the nice ink flow which is a standard in all Frontiers.
Frontier was a 90s fountain pen . Roller ball and ballpoint. They stopped production in the early 2000s. They are now made in india and are the ballpoint at least a very good product.
Sir, been watching your videos quite some time, yours is very honest review, just wanted to ask you whether when posted on longer run does it gives any marks in the bottom of the pen, I'm worried about the looks if goes bad.
Nice video 👍 Using same pen with fine nib as the pen with only fine nib was available ... though always like to write with medium nib , it's not that great experience ... ink flow stops quite often and nib unit needs water wash ...
does any one know if a parker frontier's cap gets loose after extensive use of the cap. cap on, cap off. I really want to know because my pen's cap seems to be getting loose.
Some Pilot pen models also have a similar nib & feed locking mechanism. If the pens falls on the nib, then it is game over. I have a Frontier as well, which was gifted to me outside of India. It has the broadest nib amongst all my pens. It gives a similar line variation as you have shown. I think western broad nibs give a reasonable line variation, even without varying the pressure in the horizontal and vertical strokes.
I use 3 airmail wality j 71s as my daily writers with different inks. They are awesome. Only downside is I have to refill them when they are half barrel down, otherwise they burp. Besides these I also use Parker frontier a lot.
Several years ago, I got one of those indian made Parker frontier, which is made by Luxor. That was pretty bad. The quality of nib was pretty bad and the engarving of nib and cap band was also bad. The nib was scratchy and too wet. I think that it is a quality control issue of Luxor. The forntier which made in uk didn't have those kind of problems. Does indian made parker vector or beta also have such qc issue? I want to know about it before I try them.
I have an Indian Frontier and your description does not match reality at all. That the Indian version is worse is a myth. It's a cheap pen, you can't demand too much. I don't see why some of you say that the English or American ones were better. They're probably made with the same machinery. Luxor is a brand with a lot of experience. I have a Parker Sonnet. The cap seal is lousy. The gold ring on the section is corroded. The inner section degrades with ink. Parker's western factories also produced poor quality items. We can speak of the Parker 51 collector, an acrylic of the worst quality imaginable.
Hi, I got inspired by your video and got this pen ! Looks lovely. But drops of ink are bleeding slowly from the feeder when I write or even as I hold it nib down. What could the cause be ? Appreciate your help and thanks in advance !
Parker frontier has a metal body. So if ink is filled in the body, it will corrode the body of the pen. You should avoid filling ink into body of metal pens.
Brother which one is better according to you? Parker frontier or Jinhao 159.? Please tell me, I want to purchase but confuse between both.....which will be good in smoothness and writing .
Tough choice! However Parker nibs are unreliable a M nib can write as a Fine and nibs are proprietary and cannot be swapped with any other nib, however the build quality is superb. The pen is comfortable to hold and you can write for long without tiring your hand. On the other hand Jinhao 159 comes with a No 6 nib that can be swapped easily, however the lacquer finish on these pens is not of good quality and the pen is much heavier than parker, which makes it not ideal for long writings. So if you want a work horse pen for long writings i would recommend Parker and for leisure writing go for Jinhao
@@Pentrove I have no problem with the model and weight of both pen. Just confused that which will be good in writing i.e. ink flow, fast writing, smoothness, which can be a better choice from your side? So, that I can make a purchase.
In my experience the parker frontier ballpoint is a great pen whether made in the UK or India. The fountain pen is a different story. The clutch ring is most annoying. It is really a design fault. The nib is passable but for an everyday writer you can't go past the wing sung jinhao and hero pens coming out of China.
Recently purchased the Frontier gt fountain from amazon. But whenever I'm finishing my writing session for the day, and opening the cap of the pen the next day, there's inkdrops present near the grip of the pen. Any solutions or should I replace it? I'm using the pen with the converter and parker quink... Thanks in advance...
I think Camlin 47 will be a good start. It costs around Rs100 and is very good and reliable pen. you can buy it from penhouse.in or offimart.com. Also Click Aristocrat will be a good option. it costs around Rs 350
@@Pentrove I bought one of those Parker Frontier CT made in India by Luxor it's very well made in general, except the nib the slit on the nib it's been cut uneven , one part of the nib it's bigger then the other and the nib it's very scratchy so it was needed to be replaced, so i bought 2 Parker Frontier (UK) NOS, made in 2008 from the official Parker retailer in my country , i bought one for my use and one for the nib . :)
Hi, I like your reviews. They're very informative, direct and to the point. Would you please do a comparison between the Parker Frontier and the Jinhao X750? I want to visualize them side by side, next to each other. Thanks!

Can you do a review of pilot metropolitan and parker urban premier?

I still miss my '51, '61 capillary filling and a gold plated '51. Beautiful pens
The '61 was green with a Silver top and traditional gold arrow clip
I like the girth of this pen, it looks like a good everyday writer.
You can replace the nibs with kanwrite 5.5 nibs. My nib is broken i have ordered the same along with original. Other youtubers have done it
I got fine nib, which writes like Medium. But I want to use broad stub from kanwrite. How to do?
You are right about the nib tip sizes. No two Parker Frontier nibs are ditto same with respect tip or finishing. Each one writes well in its own way possibly due to the nice ink flow which is a standard in all Frontiers.
I also have this pen 2 month back completely sealed but nib tines are imbalance thus wasted my Money
Yes pen look good.
You can get that replaced from Luxor
Hello🙂 What is the difference between Parker Frontier Stainless Steel and Parker Jotter Stainless Steel Pens ?
Thanks a lot.. Quite professional review. I have decided to buy the same. But what about the ink? Can I use Parker Quink blue and black for this pen?
Yes you can use Parker ink in it but do not use Camlin or brill ink in this pen
@@shivakantchaturvedi-gi2ny Thank you.
A quick question, is there any difference between nibs of Vector GT and Fronntier GT,
TIA
Yes, vector nibs are different in shape and are smaller than frontier's nibs.
Pentrove Thank you,
Very nice review.
I have this Black and Gold one.
Can a student use it? On normal classmate notebook?

Yes it does, almost every frontier faces this problem.
Parker discontinued the Frontier in 2011 but there is a lot of stock remaining. Just ordered mine after using Parker Vector for many years.
I don't think so. It's available with their official distributor and comes with recent manufacturing dates if you buy one
Your review is good upto the point.
Can I buy this pen in stainless steel ct? I have to write a lot. And I need a pen that will be good for decades. Is it the choice in 500Rs
Yes, this is a workhorse, but costs around 650
Yes, but now there is a discount in Flipkart and I am getting it at Rs495

My pen doesn't write continuously, I used to push the piston to write further ,what is the reason ??
Is Parker Fountain Pens are worth it??
If yes than what is the Best Parker Fountain pen Under ₹700 Online??
Please Reply 🙏🙏🙏
The stainless steel cap corrodes, like the top layer comes off. Is it normal with daily usage?
It is. Parkers frontier is a robust pen.
My paint came off at the top too

Yes sir you're right, they don't sell defined NIB size. I had to replace pen and replace my order to get perfect medium sized NIB
Does it say on the box?
It s that medum nib?
It says F on the nib, but writes like a medium

My all time favourite, but brother is there any video on waterman hemisphere on your channel 🙂
I have one silly question.
Instead of using convertor or cartridge can we fill the body directly with the ink?
Parker frontier has a metal body. So if ink is filled in the body, it will corrode the body of the pen. You should avoid filling ink into body of metal pens.
