I feel like if the SCP Foundation was real and had audio recordings for their SCP files, that gemodawn would be their choice of voice for the recordings.

The effect has not been tested on an animal so it cant be determined whether the trigger is the presence of a biological entity within the maze or the entity's reaction to/perception of the mirror. The fact that subjects walk into mirrors leads me to suspect the later. The maze may be altering the subject's perception of the mirrors and showing them hallways where mirrors stand. The maze then transports them smoothly to another location at which point the subject realizes that they are not in the maze. It has also not been tested whether the maze continues to have effect on individuals post transport. I would think that important to test as it could mean that the maze is irrelevant and the SCP is is perhaps some sort of global force or a creature within mirrors in general.

So in other words, the Mirror Maze is like its own Bermuda Triangle. The individual mirrors are all their own anomalies until passed through.
