Sturgeon are very cool fish, I've had 2 in my pond for 2 years now. I lost one on a really hot day a few years back, since then I've added more shade and additional aeration, so all is well now. From my experience its when the water temp goes above 25-26C they struggle but thats a very rare occurrence in the UK.

Hi Mike, They need plenty of oxygen and they don't like thunder storm I have kept them in the past and lost them to thunder storm because storm srip the oxygen out of the water mate. Steve

So the poor koi you started the pond with are mostly all dead? Strange as koi should live a minimum of 20yrs to 40
Starlet sturgeon only get 2 foot long. all other type of sturgeon get huge albino or not
