It's exactly like that Bhad Bhabie clip this very video shows. Everyone got mad when she (only a 13 year old back then btw) used it to become famous. If you feel like she's set for life while you're in college, please talk tuah therapist as soon as possible...
I think the biggest reason this pisses people off is because it shows that the only thing that's really valued in our society is the ability to grab attention. Doesn't matter what for, doesn't matter what you're doing with that attention. It could be anything from physically assaulting people to leading a political movement to saying something goofy and becoming a meme over it. Money follows eyeballs, and it's not a sustainable way for a society to operate. We need to value people who actually produce things and help change society for the better. We don't want all the money flowing to people who are just good at being spectacles. It's not only unfair, it's just a terrible way for things to run. And because those are the only people other than CEOs who seem capable of earning a comfortable living, that's what everybody wants to be nowadays-just someone who can get attention and monetize it in any way they can. Which means not enough people want to do work that's actually productive, and society suffers as a result.
Men carrying society and it's infrastructure on their shoulders every day 8-X hour shifts, earning below average salary, while a girl says 1 mildly funny thing, becomes a "star" and makes a bank.
@@SirRivelion Don't make it a gendered thing. There are tons of men just like her who make ridiculous amounts of money just grabbing attention for themselves. Likewise, there are tons of women who are working 12-hour grind shifts every day and living in poverty.
Facts. Unfortunately every generation is becoming more and more engrained in Internet culture and attention through insane means is a byproduct of that. It's really sad and I don't see it getting better.
@@SirRivelion Right, because no man has ever become immensely rich or famous undeservedly for stupid things. This cultural phenomenon of viral internet success turning you into a millionaire celebrity that has been going on for over a decade now has only affected women.

It's not even funny. Dumbest meme ever.
this really affirms, even if this sounds unrelated, the true extent of wealth inequality nowadays. there's people out here who have tried everything and keep struggling despite it all and then there's this. say a moderately funny line, blow up, and become a millionaire from it. people will put out a thousand job applications and not even get an interview but saying a line on camera in the right place and the right time equals set for life.
