Also, one could have a 2D game, where there was this point, where player could walk into the background, say a street, and the camera rotates 90 degrees, and it's another 2D game . . Adding subtle, or a few 3D elements, it has a ton of power, also for creativity . . Anyway, also bec. it'd help people learn 2D, and 3D stuff, at same time . .

This was very good. I need to really thing the color palette thing in my next game. My current project has loose regional color schemes, but no over all style to the coloring.

You can see more details in the video, early designs, note the ' big ' evil will be Azrael, in the archangel version, angel, of Death, opposite will be four good angels, with four wings, four arms, one for Light, Joy (hope), Life, and Valor (seraphs), the four things death can't really get power over, it's sort-of 'that' conflict, 'life' vs. 'death', in space, as someone that hasn't finished a single project, struggle with scope, also limiting story, and, art, if you can give any advice, well major help . . I'm super - good at having ideas, just can't get started, or, really know where / what to go, etc . .

Based xD Very cool video Thomas, and very generous to help the student in this way - it's also cool to get to some insight in how you can take a prototype and improve it visually. It would be really interesting as well to see what else can be done with a prototype in terms of game design, i.e. taking a basic mechanic and going further with it.
This came out great! The particles stick out to me though, the direction they fly in seems to rotate with the bird. I think this happens when you're using local space instead of world space for that particle system.

Ok, added the basic over-all lore, sort-of the 'big' players, the forces of ' life ', vs. the powers, or forces of ' death ', etc . .

Realize it's a big thing, to ask, think you're a wonderful person, and, if anybody in America, or indie - community is fit to make attempt, can't think of a better artist, youtuber . .
What would you do, how would you perhaps start, and, what ideas do you get, perhaps game-play, #DarkestDungeon, not sure . . . For instance, are you thinking 2D action, perhaps something more stealth, etc etc
Really wish had some 2D project, could send, get a pro artist, to make it look pro, or ' AAA ' . . It was for sure AA, might have been AAA, you're perhaps one of few youtubers I've seen, can only see a bright future #amazing #content . .
One cool thing, if Philipe spelling ??? makes 3D, maybe could make a few 3D elements, for a 2D game, with 3D elements, perhaps even, where player is mostly walking left-right, but in few places, can walk into screen, etc, to fade . . . For instance, make a very simple 3D terrain, tiling, that is between a few 2D layers, add some stuff, a few houses, 3D has one advantage, once made, it's easy to animate certain things, no need to draw 30 fps 2D, etc, anyway 2D, with 3D elements, tends to look even better, each artist decides how much is the best balance . . Anyway, a few 3D elements, with also custom animations, can make a massive difference, or, a lamp on a chain, that has physics stuff . .
Can't do 2D, at all . . Got a drawing display, didn't help, what I can do is sort-of 'build' stuff, in 3D, almost anything . . So, never really had any 2D projects, never really thought I could do it, don't have an ' artistic ' eye, sort-of can't make sense that well, of art . . My goal was to make a 2.5D project, bec. then I could use 3D, also, limit scope, camera only faces one way, no big world, so on . . .
After thinking what genres best works, with 2D, 2.5D, it was action-cartoon, story-telling, or something like reporter, detective, or horror, or ' police ' stuff, that sort-of slow, looking for some clues, slowly taking in a limited place, I guess my thoughts were, that's what I'd use 2D, or for me, 2.5D for . . One could also tell a very ' intense ' setting, using 2D art, like well old 2D horror games, some were H.P. Lovecraft, sort-of 'intense' horror, scary universe, very iconic setting, sort-of old H.R. Giger, made also Aliens, so on . .
Bec. I'm fail at 2D, simply can't think in color, even texture - painting is tough, never made ideas for that, wish I had done, so could send a almost demo, see what it might look like, sort-of if a pro gave it the 'shine', or 'wow' . . :'-(((
Sort-of, been quite impressed with the channel, you seem like a small 'indie' - hero to me, I'm thinking if anybody could interpret what the archangels of life, joy, light, and valor where, it'd be Thomas Brush . . 10 / 10 #holyshit . . . Also, need a ton of advice, I think it might also might quite a money, and the first people to interpret this, could end up having a hit, and, plenty chance for later sequels $$ Anyway, it's been almost an honor to follow this channel, every video is a ' Picasso ', and, well thanks . . . .
Last thing, uhh I was indirectly involved with the war, over in Iraq, got some gnarly PTSD, uhh also making content about that, sort-of a PTSD - treatment . . I can be a bit ' upset ', sort-of got some hard - core PTSD, not your problem, you seem like a #legit #cool person . . .
Hi im seth and im making a super smash bros like fighting game called xenomon the legacy trilogy but right now game development has been tuff besides the game maker 2 none of the development programs really stand out so im taking a break to find help
Anyway, dumb as it is, it's the only way I can say thanks, for this channel, feel like it's the place to learn, also, really like the ' indie ' focus here, want to make something like that, plan was to make a very small multi-player shooter, where one can pick from four base units, and, over time unlock a bigger one, for the team . . However, some say multi-player is difficult, was wondering what you would do, how to start, where to limit scope, and, also creativity, making art, well thanks for the channel, hope at least you find it interesting, #least I could do, big thx . . .
