Great info...I have had issues in this area all my life. I was born premature and stayed in an incubator for the first weeks....I therefore believe that I did not get breast fed at all. No colostrum to setup the gut... and as a result I stopped growing in 7th grade, have terrible skin, and I've had bad reactions (gas) to certain foods all my life. I got prescribed antibiotics at 52 (12 years ago) and it just nuked my whole system...and the doctor who nuked me did not have the first clue. 1 year ago I got a bad case of poison ivy and it affected me almost the way antibiotics did over a decade earlier. I am now on a supplement protocol to heal leaky gut....Ive already recovered more in the last 3 weeks than in the previous decade.

You could try and make ginger tea less spicy by adding some "sweet" tasting herb, for example, elderflowers. Might work for your kid ;)

Do you think overdoing probiotics, especially in kids, could be any cause of concern?

For the Biogaia, it looks like they have a couple of strains/flavors. Just wanted to make sure - is it the one with the l reuteri in it that helps with upper respiratory things? Thanks! Really appreciate your videos & podcasts.

What are your thoughts on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet for Crohns/Colitis - Elaine forbids any type of indigestable starch (PHGG/inulin etc). Elaine also vilifies bifidobacteria which apparently people with IBD can have trouble with. Do you think the diet provides enough fiber if we just provide fruits/veggies (no potato/rice/bread/gluten) and meats/chicken/fish and some SCD legal legumes that are soaked overnight?

What are your thoughts on colostrum for gut dysbiosis and SIBO because of food poisoning?
